Don’t get how all the supporters and all the former players who are pundits can all see plain as day that he’s shit but Maresca treats him like he’s world class, prime Petr Cech. He literally costs us points repeatedly.

Cucu was back to normal not allowing anything past him after he switched his boots. It’s idiotic, but the way he reacted to the guy on the touchline he appears to be one of those players that just trusted that the kit man would give him the correct boots for a rainy surface.

This game is there to be won. They can barely keep the ball and we had dangerous attack after dangerous attack. Just stop with the horrendous giveaways and we can do this. If Jorgensen was in goal here and Tosin was playing instead of Badi I’d feel much better.

We’ve pretty much controlled the game for a long time now. Spuds’ only danger really is coming from us handing them the ball in our half. We can still win this if we can just be more incisive with the final ball.

We can basically discount and stop worrying about several teams behind us with 3 points here and focus solely on Arse, City, and yes, maybe even Liverpool going forward. Hope the boys are as hungry and desperate for a win here as us supporters are. Putting 12 points between ourselves and United and 11 between us and Spuds would be delightful.

I was saying this expecting both Romero & VDV to be out. Plus their keeper. That maybe with all those injuries he’d try damage limitation and try to grind out a boring draw.

Both starting CB’s miraculously fit for Spuds out of nowhere. All I’ve heard this week was how Van de Ven was out long term and Romero was a slight doubt.

Having picked Sancho here instead of Noni I guess Maresca is predicting that Spuds will be very defensive and allow us to dominate the ball. Sancho is more effective when space is tight and you need someone against a low block. But I actually expect the opposite. I think with their injuries and defensive woes they’re going to go all out attack just to try to make this a back and forth, high scoring match. For that reason I’d have started Noni for his ability on the counter to kill them. Pretty surprised as well that he trusts Badiashile as a left footer out of position on the right over Tosin. Not complaining, though. This is a super strong team.

Man United fans were 1000% convinced that they’d be nailed on for top 4 this season during the summer. And almost every one I saw was laughing at the idea of Chelsea finishing above them. It was all about how we were a “chaos club” who would blow up because of all the players we bought and because we hired a manager from the Championship. We could go 12 points above them tomorrow if we win. Before we’ve even reached Christmas. 🤣🤣🤣 Can effectively count them AND Spuds out completely as any sort of threat to us for top 4 if we get 3 points tomorrow. Huge, HUGE opportunity.

Badiashile looked really solid coming in for Fofana on that right side but I’m not sure I’d feel totally comfortable playing him against Spuds as a left footer there. Tosin for me is a safer bet. He may have played midweek but he doesn’t have many miles in his legs this season. He should be fine playing again.

That should look totally different with what I assume will be the same team from Villa with Moi at inverted RB and Lavia back in the side. We should be much more secure defensively. Surely it’ll be Tosin or Badiashile partnering Colwill. My choice would be Tosin. Huge threat on attacking set pieces and corners and also a mountain defending them. Plus, he’s not as prone to crazy howlers on the ball like Disasi is.

They not long ago spanked both Manchester clubs too, didn’t they? But then lose to small teams and look pathetic. They do still have Son, Kulu, and Brennan Johnson who can be dangerous if we allow them to be. But from what I’m reading from Spuds fans is that they are totally shambolic at the back and at keeper. With our attack being so good we should be slaughtering this lot. We should start with our most aggressive wingers here, so Noni & Neto. Those two plus Nico pressing and Palmer pulling the strings should be far too much for them to handle. It’ll be all about how locked in our defense is as to not allow Spuds to have a chance.

They look like absolute sure dog shit and have key injuries. We have to put our boot on their necks this weekend.

I feel like Badiashile is good enough to stay with us as a rotation CB for lesser competitions and he has been okay as an emergency injury fill in. Disasi is the one who isn’t good enough and can go.

Feels impossible to predict this one since you never know which Spuds side will show up. They look devastating going forward one match and then absolute dogshit the next.

The insane luxury we have in our attacking midfield depth is amazing. Being able to rotate Neto & Sancho who looked great last weekend and have Madueke and Felix come in is fantastic. Currently it really doesn’t matter who is playing in these position because they’re all doing well. Hell, even Mudryk has been pretty solid recently and he can’t even make the bench! I feel like the only position where we could use another quality depth option is in CM. Caicedo is tasked with so much and with Lavia’s injury concerns were short in that defensive area. I don’t know what the loan conditions are but Andre Santos has apparently been killing in at Strasbourg again and is tailor made for that position. Could he be recalled in January?

Should be subbing Caicedo off as soon as we hit 4. Can’t afford a freak injury to him of all players.
