This Arsenal XI is a joke, right? Wenger is taking the piss with their supporters, surely? Liverpool should run riot against that team.
-
Just look at all 3 goals again. The defending was literally comical. Bit like ours... First 2 goals came from terrible defensive mistakes and for Zlatan's (while it was a great finish) they just stood off of him and allowed him about 3 touches before getting his strike away. If we don't get defensive reinforcements I'm not looking forward to facing Zlatan. And this was before Pogba and Mkhitaryan have even really played.
-
Bournemouth can play some pretty football when in possession but they're woeful defensively. This is the sort of team that the likes of Zlatan will destroy and score loads against. My tip for Golden Boot.
-
Two absolute gifts from Bournemouth for the goals.
-
Christ, 90 seconds in and these NBC commentators are already drooling about United...
-
Think Zlatan may bag a couple here against Bournemouth.
-
Somewhat relaxed and quietly confident right now due to attacking players showing promise in preseason that they're back to their best. I'm sure as Monday afternoon comes closer I'll start getting more nervous. Already having nightmares about Payet ghosting past Matic or Cesc depending on which of them starts or passing clean through our entire team. Or Andy Carroll bullying both JT and Cahill. Or just about anyone running at Ivanovic.

Spurs really do have a nice looking squad now, it has to be said. Great striker up top, plenty of steel in the middle with Dier and Wanyama, creative sparks like Eriksen, Dele Alli, and Lamela, probably the best CB partnership in the league, and good, modern fullbacks in Rose and Walker. World class keeper too.

Yep, was just thinking the exact same thing when I saw this tweet. Just like last summer, Conte will have given the club a list of targets and our board just can't get anything done. They're penny pinching and looking for discounts. Also like last summer I feel well panic buy towards the deadline. Let's just hope we at least panic buy good players this time.
-
This is exactly what I'm afraid of with Kenedy. Though at least with Watford we saw with Aké that they'll play him if he's good enough. I have the feeling we'll never see Miazga in a Chelsea shirt again. Djilobodji style. Struggling to care either.
-
Has he done much at Inter yet? Haven't even heard his name mentioned once since he moved there.
-
My prediction. A 4-3-3. Need steel and numbers in midfield to combat West Ham. No way should Cesc start this one.
-
Disagree. I think he's probably the first loanee that I can actually see with a future here. He was already almost ready for the first team so a loan to a top team like Ajax where he'll play every week should only improve him. I expect him to be a Chelsea player again for sure.
-
Loved that press conference and love Conte already. You can just tell he lives and breathes football and is the right man to change the mentality of these players. While there likely isn't anything he can do to improve the terrible defense because that's more a case of skill rather than confidence, but players like Hazard, Matic, Oscar, and Costa will all excell under him again I think. You can also tell he badly wanted to talk publicly about transfer targets but has to remain tight lipped.
-
So are Inter finally on their way "back?" How can they suddenly afford to pay £40m for a player? I thought they were still fairly irrelevant like Milan are these days.
-
Surely not for us. It's gotta be Everton. We couldn't seriously think a CB from Sunderland is a legit alternative to someone who was one of the best CB's in Europe last season?
-
Better to get it over with now before dying a slow, painful death by Cahill/Ivanovic.
-
Maybe like our 5-3 against Everton 2 years ago?
-
Gonna be pretty telling against West Ham if we line up with 2 "shields" in front of the defense and still look shit back there.
-
That's way too much for a player of his age and who PSG don't really even need anymore.
-
Wish we'd just do it and be done with it. Lord knows where or how he fits in with Diego but Conte is much smarter than I am and if he wants him then fuck it.
-
The narrative changes everyday. He and Conte must know each other inside-out by now since they have "meetings" everyday it seems like. Yesterday he had a meeting and decided he wanted a new challenge. Today he had a meeting in which Conte convinced him to stay. Two days ago he wanted to go. Wonder what tomorrow will bring...
-
So it's still on, seemingly. Can't imagine Remy still having a big role here. When Costa inevitably get injured or suspended we'd be at huge risk.
-
Him staying at Napoli in the end would piss me off but I'd get over it in time. Him leaving Napoli for anyone other than Chelsea would end me... I'd lose my shit and rage.
-
This would be much worse than Stones. We didn't know going into last season that the defense would be that disastrously bad. We wanted Stones to come in and learn on the job, maybe not starting every single game. With Koulibaly we know with 100% certainty that our defense is easily the worst amongst the probable top 4 challengers and we still may not improve it.
