Sounds like he's happy with what we've brought in so far but isn't close to satisfied yet overall. I hope we're in for at least 3 more players of high quality. Conte knows he won't be able to use the same players week in and week out for a entire season in multiple competitions. He's putting a load of pressure on the board by saying this publicly and I'm sure he wouldn't have signed that new contract if they didn't agree with his vision. We need signings at both wing back positions, a CM if Matic goes, and some sort of attacking player that can play in multiple positions across the front 3.

I really, REALLY hope Conte has a say in all of our transfers now. Because on the surface this seems like yet another board signing that the manager has no clue about. Djilobodji, Miazga, Kenedy. Players Mourinho had never even heard of before we signed them. Hope this isn't that again.

Michy, Willian, and Moses in particular were excellent that half. Kante looks sharp as well. We look significantly sharper than Arsenal and they're deeper in preseason than we are. Also, did anyone even know Lacazette was on the pitch? Don't think he had a touch in the final third.

So that's the 2 best LB options out of the equation now. Surely we have to be signing someone to compete with Alonso and provide depth. We have a couple of players who can play on the right side in case Moses is out. No one for the left.

Unless it's Matic himself who's trying to force his way out I'd refuse to sell him. Juve can fuck off for refusing to do business with us regarding Sandro and Man United can fuck off for a whole host of reasons. Matic can stay and be and excellent rotational player. If we enter the season in 4 competitions with only Cesc, Bakayoko, and Kante we'd be dangerously short of bodies. Say Kante picks up a serious injury early in the season. What the hell would we do? If Kante or Cesc snapped an ankle in China or Singapore we'd enter the season with only 1 fit CM. We keep Matic and we have the strongest midfield options in the PL.

Would take our summer business thus far from solid to fantastic. Just can't see them selling their two best defenders and 3 of their back 5 in the same window.

The fact that £58m isn't considered a "heavy" price tag anymore is just insane to me. But it really isn't when you see what other clubs are paying for players. Morata for just a tad more than Walker/Stones/Sterling and about 30m less than Lukaku/Pogba. Even fucking Arsenal have spent £50m on a player this summer!

Exactly. Benteke is completely out of the question not only for how much he'd cost but also because he's too good to be 3rd choice. Way younger than Llorente as well.
