Normally I'd be super excited to watch Arsenal Fan TV later today. But knowing we have a bogey side away tomorrow I'm not laughing yet. We may very well lose tomorrow as well knowing us.
-
Say what you want about how poor our defense can sometimes look, Arsenal look like the parting of the Red Sea in the center of their defense. Liverpool slice through them effortlessly. At least we've seen in some of the bigger games that we can rock up and solidify. This is pathetic stuff from Arse.
-
This lot winning the PL will be bad enough. For the love of god don't let them also win the CL! Almost anybody but them!
-
Liverpool are simply a ridiculous team. Arse have been comical at times, yes, but Liverpool just have absolutely everything. Look like scoring every time they get the ball in the opponents half. Really sad that they have 3 attackers who are utterly lethal in front of goal while we have none.
-
Hope so. We simply can't sell one of the 2-3 best players in the world and replace him with Pulisic.
-
If he's being viewed by the club as the long term replacement for Willian and Pedro I'm fine with that. He's not better than either of those two now but has the potential to be. If he's being viewed as a Hazard replacement then I think we're in trouble next season and beyond.
-
Not saying Pulisic is bad or doesn't have the potential to become a top player, but I'd be so disappointed if we were to buy him while the likes of Fekir and Isco move to our rivals. Both are far superior to Pulisic right now and I don't think they'd be risks at all.
-
I guess not, but I'm not even sure he'd be any better than Giroud. Someone who's dangerous at times but won't score much.
-
Don't want him. I would've taken a punt from the beginning of the season but having not really heard a thing about his time in Milan I'm guessing he hasn't done much? His age combined with his body just makes him a panic option/temporary bandaid. Trouble is there isn't any outstanding candidate we can turn to in the middle of the season. I literally can't even name someone who is at the level required that is possible. In 20/20 hindsight missing out on Aubameyang when he was desperate to leave was a mistake. Imagine his pace and skill playing off Hazard...
-
Still a hugely useful sub and rotation option for secondary competitions but it's completely understandable that he'd want to leave. When he does play he's still super dangerous when given the space on the ball, but he's somehow even slower than he was in the past couple of years. It would be suicidal to start him against even midtable PL sides these days with our current defense. Would be sad to see him go but he deserves to play somewhere. Hope him leaving doesn't affect the Hazard negotiations somehow. He appears to be his best mate in the team.
-
Fucking Palace... We know what that means. Wilf God form and probably Andros Townsend scoring his once in every 30 games goal against us. Hopefully the quick turn around and fixture congestion will work in our favor here. Maybe Palace will rotate quite a bit.
-
I'll take those 3 points as a nice 29th birthday gift. Where the fuck would we be if Hazard decided to leave? Midtable, most likely. And with our board trying to buy his replacements? Yikes!
-
So tired of seeing Willian get the ball out wide and just having our play crash to a halt. Honestly, I'm tired of seeing all of our attacking players bar Eden. How depressing it'll be going the rest of the season with this stale attack if we don't buy next month.
-
Just about to praise Kovacic and Hazard and as I do they score the equalizer. Their best shooter from distance is standing unmarked on the edge of our box. Fantastic defending, lads.
-
It's almost like Sarri is sending a message to the club that this is all he's got.
-
Just sad seeing these clubs we've laughed at and made fun of over the past decade or so now completely eclipse us both on and off the pitch. Liverpool and Spuds have been laughing stocks and are now so much better placed going forward. Whether it's the new stadium for Spuds or the massive investment by Liverpool, it just feels like Chelsea are being left behind. What we do next month in the market will say a lot about our ambitions. If we do nothing but hope shit gets better we'll see Arsenal and even fucking United fly past us in the league.
-
Today was one of those rare occasions where it actually wasn't Alonso's side that was the problem. Chillwell was having a stroll in the park with the freedom of the entire right side in the second half. I swear it seemed like Rüdiger was caught out on an island numerous times all the way near the touchline. Where was Azpi? Pedro was woeful on that side too. He looked like a spirit took over his body and he lost all his abilities. Shocking.
-
Game wasn't lost in midfield. Don't know why people are slating it. They were all three GREAT in the first half. No goal threat there but they dominated that area. Game was lost in wide defensive areas and a blunt attack. Stop me if you've heard that before...
-
Not only would a proper striker score goals for us but also free up other players. Seeing Hazard, Willian, and Pedro get the ball time and again around a packed box is so frustrating. There's no space. We need reinforcements desperately if we are to finish 4th. Arsenal and Spuds have world class finishers that can win them games when they play like shit. Auba and Kane will score 25 goals in the league. We MUST get someone at that level.
-
And now next up Watford who are better than Leicester and absolutely relish getting physical. Fully expect us to lose that and go behind Arsenal.
-
Absolutely terrible match to lose. Infuriating. Almost exactly what happened against Wolves. We were again completely dominant and comfortable but can't score to save our lives. Opposition manager then goes into halftime and tells his players not to show us as much respect and they rattle us. We are soft as butter. Punch us in the mouth and we fold. What's most pathetic about that is these are midtable, mediocre sides. Yet they still bully us. Made Chillwell and Ricardo look world class.
-
WHAT IN THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED SINCE HALF TIME!? What is this defending!? And Pedro is just repeatedly giving them the ball in dangerous areas.
-
Can't squeeze water from a stone. We have not a single player who can reliably score.
-
Maybe our best, most dominant performance of the season so far. Stunning football and excellent ball recovery. Only the goals missing as usual.
