Bielsa’s setup and tactics are just not adequate against big teams who can match their energy with more quality than they have. First United blowing them away a couple of weeks ago and now Liverpool are ripping them apart.

It’s really awesome to see Rom show people that he’s not just about power and pace. He can score some beautiful, extremely impressive goals. Hope going forward we can get him more involved in the play like we did against Arse. He was very isolated today.

Without Kante, teams that are aggressive and get stuck into us will still cause us all sorts of trouble by the look of it. Very annoying.

We definitely have to be careful and smart here. There’s a whole lot of pace and running in that Villa attack. McGinn, Watkins, and Ings will be looking to break and sprint as often as they can. Which could be an issue with Kova and Saul in his first game. Plus Silva’s first game alongside CHO and Chalobah.

Other than Norwich, United couldn’t have handpicked a better opponent to debut CR7 against. Maybe Arsenal, I guess… 😂

This is still pretty much the exact same United as last season stylistically. Olé still has no defined way of playing and they’re boring as shit. But they have so many star players that they can rely on individual moments to win over and over again. Just cannot see them winning a title or the CL with him as manager.

Connor G has the tenacity and energy of Kova and is also very nice on the ball like Mason. He’s just unlucky that his skill set is so well covered by the players we already have so it’s difficult to see him making it.

Spuds are fucking awful. Once the fixtures start piling up they will drop like a stone back into midtable.

As they have been in each of their matches so far, Spuds again being outplayed. They look clueless. And like those previous 3 games where they were outplayed their opponent is even more toothless and can’t score so Spuds will probably win 0-1.

All those salty opposition fans questioning why we were after Saul and here is the reason. And thank god we got him. Kante will be a constant injury risk throughout the season and must be handled carefully. Saul is going to get a lot of games. As for Pulisic, I’m sad to say this because I really like him (especially as a fellow American) but I’d cash in on him next summer. He’s injured more than any player I’ve ever seen. Tuchel can’t ever count on him at all because he’s always on the injury table. Every injury then sets him back and he has to fight his way back into contention to play. I’d use him as a makeweight with Dortmund if we are genuinely interested in Bellingham.

Pretty difficult to even think about midfield targets for next summer when we haven’t even seen Saul yet.

He seems genuinely happy to be here with a fresh start. Hopefully it doesn’t take long for us to see him on the pitch.

I absolutely think we’ll go back in for Koundé. Maybe even in January depending on the health of our CB’s at the time. And he was almost certainly being targeted as a RCB not a LCB. He will be viewed as the long term replacement for Azpi and would’ve slotted in perfectly there. Our issue now could be that there could be more suitors going forward whereas we had a free run at him this summer.
