Fucking fuck off, West Ham you choking fucks. This horrendous United side are going to somehow claw their way back into contention for a CL place.
-
Just checked him out on YouTube. Looks legit.
-
Their players looked like they didn’t even want to be on the pitch against us in either leg of the League Cup. So surely in the PL they’ll be MUCH more motivated and hungry. If the XI comes up and I see Lukaku, Ziyech, and CHO all starting I may not even watch. I’ll just distract myself by watching some Twitch and checking in when the game is over. Not going to subject myself to more tortuous attacking play.
-
Yeah. I don’t blame TT for this mess at all. Will be disgusting if these players put another manager at risk of the sack by failing to finish top 4.
-
If we have yet another terrible result this weekend perhaps that’ll light a fire under the boards’ backsides? Especially as it will be against a side that’s chasing us.
-
His problem for sure is consistency. A problem that sadly all of our attackers have. But even at his best level in his best form I don’t think he offers enough at a club with title ambitions to be in the best XI. Almost never scores goals and is infuriatingly frustrating with his decision making in the final third. Like, for those wide positions I don’t think Cal’s best form is close to Pulisic’s or even Timo’s. Both of the latter can score and assist. As I mentioned in the match day thread the other day against Brighton, CHO is basically a poor imitation of Willian. Doesn’t score, doesn’t assist, runs around a lot, frustrates the hell out of us when he’s in the final third. But what Willian had that CHO doesn’t is the ability to consistently beat players 1v1 and drive into dangerous areas.
-
At least Sancho has shown levels CHO can only dream of for multiple seasons in Germany. He’ll come good once they get a proper manager and an actual system/vision in place. I can’t see Cal becoming anything more than an okay squad player for us. Someone who rotates in for cups and injuries.
-
He’s bang average. A midtable level player. Offers basically no end product and switches off too often in his defensive duties. And we gave him such a huge contract that we’re stuck with him.
-
Crisis averted, lads. Kenedy and this kid are inbound to save our season. 😄👍🏼
-
Just saw Dembele has personally rubbished claims he wants to leave and all but confirmed that the club hierarchy is trying to force him out by talking shit about him to the press. They’re desperate to get his wages off their books.
-
We haven’t even actually been linked with Dembele by a reliable outlet anyways so all this talk is pointless. He’ll go to whoever present Barca with the highest offer and I can’t see that being us. He’s more likely to go to someone like Newcastle or a club like that who want to make a splash. They need to show prospective targets that they can attract big names. West Ham would be another. We should wait until the summer and target Raphinha from Leeds if we want a new wide attacker.
-
The way I’d look at Dembele is similar to Ross Barkley. A player who at the time would ordinarily have cost an absolute bomb to buy if they had a longer contract but was signed for cheap because his contract was soon expiring. You sign them for cheap, kick the tires to see what you have, and then decide what to do. If he works out and lives up to his incredible potential you have a top class player for peanuts (transfer fee wise) and if he doesn’t you aren’t fucking yourself over for 5 years having paid tens of millions. I’m not saying we should prioritize Dembele at all costs or anything but if I woke up on deadline day and saw that we signed him for £15-20m I wouldn’t be against it. Not really any downside at those prices.
-
Just get Dest, ffs. Loan or permanent.
-
I’d absolutely take him on a cheap deal now or free in the summer. His pace alone will mean he’s a massive upgrade on Ziyech and he can’t be worse than CHO in current form. I just don’t really see us buying another wide attacker as feasible right now since we’re stacked in that area. If we can bin a couple in the summer I’d have him here.
-
Ousmane Dembele is the sort of signing Arsenal would make. Someone who is extremely talented but will never reach that top level consistently. If he was cheap I’d take a punt on him in the summer, but it looks like they want him out asap.
-
If any of the clubs behind us can simply get a run together of a few wins on the bounce we are in trouble.
-
Liverpool lose their two best players to AFCON and will get them back in a BETTER position league table wise than when they went away.
-
Champions of Europe played off the fucking park TWICE in the span of a month or so by Brighton. They looked like a clearly superior team than we did in both meetings. Astounding. I don’t even feel like watching this shower of shit anymore for a while. Just sickening effort. What started off as a hugely promising season has now devolved into us looking like midtable shite. Our season was destroyed when Chilly got injured and James going down put us 6 feet under. We’re fucking embarrassing.
-
Mason Mount has been nonexistent this half after barely doing a thing first half. We are in serious fucking trouble this second half of the season.
-
If we finish top 4 this season it will be totally down to the other teams behind us being just as shit as we are. Like the Sarri season.
-
We’re getting dominated again. Our entire defense standing totally still. Free header and our players didn’t even fucking move.
-
HOW MANY FUCKING TIMES are Ziyech and CHO going to get the ball in an acre of space and fail to beat their man?! This is RIDICULOUS!
-
Exploiting that space is causing danger, though. He hasn’t yet put in a dangerous ball but if you keep giving him the run of the whole flank he may eventually do so.
-
Seriously, though. How many more matches in a row does our board need to watch us slog through in order for them to realize we DESPERATELY need something different at fullback? We’ve been turgid for ages now and we’re 18 days into the window. You can tell Tuchel is at his wits end as well on the touchline. He’s as frustrated as we are.
