Very, very exciting player. Just wonder where we’d play him along the front 3. Impossible to know until we’ve seen how this season plays out.

The money stuff doesn’t bother me at all anymore since every big club spends silly cash nowadays. What annoys me is that none of the other big boys can get their shit together and make things interesting. It’s boring watching them dominate in a machine like manner year after year.

What separates City from everyone else is the fact that every player knows exactly where they should be at all times. You see the same sorts of patterns in their attacking moves every game. It’s like second nature to them. They create brilliant chances at will because of this. We’re starting to see it with Pep’s pupil Arteta just with much worse players. Hopefully Potter can do this with us given enough time because he did it with Brighton.

Once Arse have their inevitable collapse City are once again going to piss the PL. It’s just a joke now like the Bundesliga or Ligue 1 since Liverpool’s core is all past their best. Nobody is coming within 15 points of them this season. The thing that makes me most jealous about them is that so many of the players they buy just seamlessly plug in and are brilliant almost immediately. Just about every other club needs time with their new players. The likes of Haaland and Akanji look like they’ve been there for 5 years.

City have played just 7 and a half matches and already have a +20 goal difference on us. TWENTY. That’s how dreadful our start has been.

Haaland is a fucking robot. Can score in every way. It almost feels surreal seeing someone this massive move the way he does.

City as usual making United look like a pub team who can barely touch the ball. But also as seemingly always happens when these two meet they’re not killing the game off with all the chances they’re creating which means United will probably snatch at least a point with a couple of counters despite having like 15% possession.

Reece absolutely pocketed Zaha today. Was actually kind of hilarious watching him fend Wilf off with just one arm over and over again.

People were extremely harsh on Fofana today, btw. He had one terrible error on the goal but bossed it otherwise. He’s still finding his feet in a blue shirt. People need to give him plenty of time. Going forward, I’m fine if Potter switches us to a back 4 but for the love of God, don’t play Jorginho in that formation. Get Kante of DZ in there beside Kova.

Amazing what happens when you swap Mount out for someone like Pulisic who will at the very least make run between the lines. We have to stop treating Mount like he’s Messi and has to start every match. He’s in the worst form of his life and is actively hurting us.

Palace have barely touched the ball and yet their 2-3 attacks have been more dangerous than what we’ve created.

The only penetrative passes we make are long balls that nobody can get ahold of. Everything else is side to side where Palace can just park the bus and stifle us completely.

Always nervous seeing Silva in a back 4 with Jorginho in front of him. Especially against a very tricky Palace attack.

Good Lord, it feels like I haven’t seen Chelsea play in 2 months! I don’t know whether to be excited that our squad could be refreshed and sharper now that Potter has worked with them for a few weeks or nervous that we’ll be extremely rusty having not played together for so long.

Ziyech is so poor now that I’ve come to actually dislike him. And it’s compounded by his piss poor body language. Looks like he isn’t bothered a bit. Potter needs to refresh the side by the time we next play. Start Broja, start Zakaria, start giving Carney some minutes. Stop trying to make Havertz, Mount, Azpi etc play themselves into form. It’s clearly not working.
