  1. So uh…..when is anything going to happen with City getting hit with like 100 financial violations? That may be the only thing that stops them dominating for years and years to come. All the English press have just been briefed today that Liverpool are out of the race for Bellingham because he’s too expensive with them needing so many new players. So he will almost certainly be favorite to go to City instead.
  2. Bayern have no top class forward, Goretzka isn’t all that great next to Kimmich, and they have multiple error prone defenders. Combine all that with the fact that they’re not used to being dominated in the Bundesliga and this is the result. Same issue PSG face every season now. Hard to suddenly play a side that’s not terrified of you like they do every week in Germany or France.
  3. Arse fans have to be shitting themselves watching this 🤣🤣🤣
  4. To beat City in this form you need to be a side that can be error free defensively and shithouse them. Like we have done numerous times in the Pep era. The only sides left in the UCL that can do it to them again are ourselves and Real Madrid. And that’s if we both have all key players fit.
  5. Add Upamecano to the above. Been awful all game. Error after error. Looks like Koulibaly out there.
  6. Alphonso Davies has been absolutely dogshit here today. Does so many brainless things.
  7. There’s no other truly standout side in this years UCL so I think they’ll finally win it this year sadly. Don’t think Arse will choke the PL away, though. Would be hilarious.
  8. Bayern have loads of quick attackers here but no focal point or natural goal scorer. How are they going to score here?
  9. My prediction is that City gets through comfortably. Hope I’m wrong, but Bayern simply aren’t used to playing a team that’s got more quality than they do. PSG & Barca who they played already aren’t near City currently.
  10. The idea that a golden boy, fan favorite, 18 year old future star midfielder like Gavi would leave Barca seems extremely hard to believe. Especially them letting him walk for free. With the insane amount of pressure they as a club put on players from the media, club hierarchy, etc I think they’ll get him to sign a new contract. As for him as a player, he looks very talented and tidy. But then so does just about any Spanish midfielder. His aggressive nature and fiery personality are what intrigues me most about him. But to my eyes he doesn’t look nearly as special as the other Barca star boy Pedri.
  11. Feels impossible to believe that one of the biggest, most successful clubs in world football like Chelsea will have too much trouble attracting big money sponsors. Big corporations and brands are desperate to associate themselves with PL clubs. Doing so with one of the very biggest and most supported ones worldwide even more so. This doom and gloom about us being unable to secure them feels silly to me right now.
  12. Highly technical, super classy footballers like Felix are going to be needed if we’re appointing Luis Enrique or Nagelsmann. I’ll be glad if we keep him. Likewise, Mac Allister would be a totally sensible buy and would be a gargantuan upgrade on Gallagher and would adequately replace Mase if he leaves. Reading about the financials of the club over the past couple of days I’m just skeptical about whether we can afford what we need this coming summer. A world class striker, a top class midfielder or two, and a top class keeper is another £200m+. We will have to get incredible fees for all these outgoing players if we want to get all we need.
  13. Was always extremely silly that reports were popping up about us selling him. He’s one of our best players.
  14. It’s still astounding how in the span of ONE YEAR Arse have become a dominant buzzsaw and one of the best sides in Europe whilst we have become a laughingstock.
  15. Even 90 year old Roy Hodgson has Palace scoring for fun and playing better football than us. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  16. Real Madrid are much more beatable than City or Bayern are in my opinion. They’re capable of spectacular displays but also dreadful ones. Whereas City and Bayern will attack relentlessly and barely let you touch the ball, Real Madrid will give you plenty of opportunities. Sadly, even if they do give us loads of openings to score you wouldn’t fancy us to take any of them this season.
  17. Under a manager that can actually coach tidy, intricate football where patterns and triangles are played like muscle memory and second nature (like City & Arse do) Sterling can be very useful. He looked great in that system at City. I haven’t totally written him off. If he looks like this next season then get rid. Cucu I’m now having serious doubts about. But next year we will hopefully never have to see him as a CB or wingback again since Colwill will be back to play in that left side.
  18. Imagine what it must feel like to watch a team that scores at will and has a striker that can score 30+ goals in one season. I honestly can’t. Chelsea is one of the biggest, most successful, most expensive teams in world football and yet we could watch ONE PLAYER on Man City score more than our ENTIRE TEAM over a 38 game season.
  19. All we can really do is pray that Kante, Enzo, and Kova can make that Kroos & Modric midfield look painfully slow and old like we did in the UCL the past 2 seasons. Mount and Kante ran rings around them. But even if we win the midfield battle we’ll still have Koulibaly and Cucu back there against Benz, Vini Jr, etc. so keeping a clean sheet or even only conceding 1 or 2 feels impossible. If Reece, Chilly, and our midfield put in world class performances we can cause them all sorts of headaches. But can we score even 1 goal? Doubt it at this point.
  20. Watching him sporadically for Palace fooled me into thinking he had a bright future at Chelsea. I didn’t realize how shockingly poor he is technically. He hasn’t really done anything well this whole season. Doesn’t score, doesn’t assist, doesn’t create chances, dreadful with the ball in tight spaces. He has offered nothing other than the odd good pressing moment where he aggressively wins the ball back. One of the first players who should be sold this summer. If we can sucker some other small PL club to pay a decent fee for him we need to bite their hand off.
  21. We have the most expensively assembled team in the league and are one of the 5 or so worst in terms of the actual football played. There are a handful of players who are legitimately amongst the best in the world in their positions when they’re in form and THIS is what the team looks like. It’s truly hard to actually believe what your eyes are seeing. A team with fully fit Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Enzo, Felix, Kovacic, and now Kante struggles to to beat even poor teams. Even with dreadful, amateur level coaching like we’ve had this season that talent alone should have us in the top 4.
  22. One of the many players in our team this season who can look like a beast for a few games in a row and then look like David Luiz at his worst on other days. It just doesn’t make sense to me how he can have such extremes in his levels.
  23. The only ones of the Boehly era I’d get rid of are Koulibaly and Auba. The others can all be useful under a real manager. But Kepa, Mendy, RLC, Gallagher, Ziyech, Pulisic, and perhaps even Mount and Kai can all go.
  24. We have SO many players that need to be sold it’s not even funny. I don’t care if we have to give away some of them on free’s or terminate their contracts.
  25. I’ll watch the first leg against Madrid but depending on what happens there I’m done for the season. If these players can’t be bothered then I can’t either. We are seriously in danger of being sucked into the relegation fight. Every single one of our remaining opponents can legitimately play us off the park in this form. Couldn’t even cause a relegation level side a little discomfort, never mind look like actually scoring.
