  1. And what happens with Paez, Angelo, and Omari Hutchinson? Feels like we’ve gone WAY overboard signing all these teenaged wingers who will all be around the same age.
  2. The faith the board are placing in the scouts in order to spend such a ridiculous sum on a teenager must be immense. For this sort of money this kid almost has to be a guaranteed superstar.
  3. With Nkunku now back and hopefully fit and ready to hit the ground running from day 1 next season, with Mudryk steadily coming on, and with Palmer & Madueke on the right side we shouldn’t even be considering bringing in another wide attacker. That’s even if we can move Sterling on which I’m skeptical about. Once we sign this Estevão kid well then have an INSANE group of supposed wonderkids in the pipeline that should be ready in 2-3 years time. Signing some ready made winger this summer would just stand in the way of of these guys. Tbh, from what I’ve seen of Omari Hutchinson I wouldn’t be against bringing him in right away to replace Sterling. He looks special. Assuming all of our current squad is fit over the summer the only areas we should be laser focused on brining players in are a striker and top class CB. Both attacking and CM should be the furthest thoughts from the club’s mind.
  4. Other than the obvious (a proven striker) I wonder if the club should prioritize another CB with a shit load of experience to replace Silva rather than going really young there?
  5. There is EASILY enough talent in this squad to finish top 4. More than enough. In my opinion these Poch comments over the past 24 hours read as if he’s setting up a “the club and I both decided that it is best we part ways” statement at the end of the season. Unless we win these last 3 matches in super impressive fashion and he feels like a corner has truly been turned I think he walks. He almost certainly feels undermined and left out to dry by the constant questioning of his job. Tbh, I’m not bothered either way. If he stays it’s probably a positive for the club to have some stability. If he goes, oh well. I know everyone seems to be really down on De Zerbi these days but I’d still gladly take him. We need this sort of manager who is fanatical in his style and has a clearly defined way of playing. There’s a reason many people saw him as the successor to Pep at City not too long ago. I don’t believe someone can go from the hottest manager around to dogshit in the span of a few months.
  6. We’ve (and the manager) have been bemoaning the lack of leaders and experienced players nonstop. We’ve already got a glut of teenaged “wonder kids” on the books that won’t see the pitch for us for years. Why the hell are we spending a load of money on yet another? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ One that plays in the same area as 10 of the other super talents we’ve bought recently, too…
  7. Had to log in for the first time in months after watching my first match of ours in months to say that that was incredibly pathetic. I was shocked to see literally ZERO progress made since I last watched. Midfield 2 looked like they had no clue what they should be doing at all, same laughably terrible composure in front of goal and couldn’t score to save their lives, same horrific tactics against a Liverpool side who were missing loads of their best players. It’s 100% clear that Poch needs to go. We have a squad talented enough to be FAR better than this in the right hands. There’s just no use in sacking him now or at all during the season since it’s dead and buried already. I haven't kept up with any football whatsoever lately so I don’t know how well he’s doing this season but is De Zerbi still the hot ticket? Can we target him this summer?
  8. The perfect encapsulation of Chelsea over the last 2 years. Find it absolutely impossible to score ourselves and concede goals ourselves from the simplest actions possible. And once again a fantastic opening 15-20 minutes then nothing after the opponent settles in to their double decker bus. How are we going to pick up a single point over these next handful of fixtures? I don’t think we do. Had we not choked against Arse and won this against a Brentford side who have been struggling all season it could’ve seen us shoot up the table. Now the season is dead again and there’s no point in even watching. Top of the league Spuds humiliating us will be the ultimate embarrassment. 3 straight PL losses AT HOME to Brentford. My goodness. I’m done. If these players can’t care I can’t either. I’ll be back for the new season.
  9. Fucking called it. The most predictable thing on earth. And beaten in the air at the back post AGAIN.
  10. Also must be said that after some extremely positive early flashes through preseason and those first few matches that Nico Jackson has faded badly. He’s still making some decent runs but he isn’t threatening in the final third at all. Our hopes that we finally had a monster #9 that could eventually grow into “one of the best in the league” as Poch suggested are starting to look misplaced. He has the tools but isn’t producing the same performances that he was earlier.
  11. Game has that typical Chelsea feel over recent months. Have almost all the ball, create a few clear chances, don’t score but then either get sucker punched on the counter or commit a calamitous defensive error out of absolutely nothing. We struggle SO MUCH against low defensive blocks.
  12. Have to move it about quicker when we have them camped in their half. Playing right into their game plan by walking it around.
  13. I’m really not feeling Madueke, btw. So fucking awkward with the ball. He’s got a Ziyech-like left foot around the box but he’s really strangely poor dribbling it a lot of the time.
  14. So many ridiculously good chances Palmer is creating. If we had a killer #9 in this team he would FEAST.
  15. Very surprised how cohesive the team looks so far. Very positive going forward.
  16. This has the look of a XI that will be clueless defensively and have no chemistry going forward. And then not really much on the bench to change it up if things aren’t happening. These constant injuries mean we can never build consistency. Every match is like opening a mystery box and seeing which random group of players happens to be available that day. We have a different key player out every week. Most of the time more than 1.
  17. Oof. Not feeling this XI at all. But with the players missing there isn’t much choice. Very tough match, this.
  18. I see all the Ramsdale rumors. Firstly, it would be madness to go out and sign another pricey keeper after paying £25m for Sanchez and also signing a backup we haven’t even seen once yet. And secondly, does it not say something that just 1 year after signing Ramsdale Arteta almost couldn’t wait to replace him because he’s weak with his distribution? Remember Kepa is still also technically still a Chelsea player and we also spent decent money on Slonina. I don’t think another new keeper is on the cards any time soon. We’ll just have to keep the faith in Sanchez and hope he settles down.
  19. Seaskn changing result was well in hand. Picture perfect defensive performance, super smart with the ball in attack, Arse with 0 shots on goal for the vast majority of the match. All thrown away with 2 defensive howlers. We really fucking needed that one, damnit. 😔😔😔
  20. Completely dominant and totally outplayed them for 80 minutes and then choke like this.
  21. Unreal. Both goals completely out of fucking nothing. Fucking shocking. We’ll be lucky not to lose this now.
  22. Sanchez has been our worst player today and that had been coming. His distribution has been WOEFUL all day. Should be done and dusted and now it’s fully game on. Rice has been their only standout player today, too. Fucks sake.
  23. WHAT THE HELL??? 🤣🤣🤣 We’re torching them on BOTH flanks!
  24. Just need a bit more composure from Caicedo in the middle and for us to get Mudryk involved in the game more. Sterling has Zinchenko on toast almost every time he gets the ball. Mudryk with his pace and ability should be able to do the same to Ben White who isn’t a natural RB. But we’re oddly ignoring the left side of our attack and everything is going down the right.
  25. Basically stopped playing since the goal. Can’t keep it for more than 1 pass now. We’ve got 3 in midfield, ffs. Control the ball!
