Nothing about a JT move to Man City makes any sense. But the press have milked this story for all it's worth and probably made a good few sales out of it!! But now it is becomming tedious and as much as he shouldn't have to it IS now time for JT to come out and say something.

I would have been fine to see Ballack go this summer. But it's not going to happen, he signed a year extention and he will be here for this season.

OFFICIAL: Sturridge secures Blues deal
EskWeston replied to Jessman's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I don't think much of that was down to Ancelotti at all. But he has allowed Pato to become a truly top class player in europe in a very short space of time..... At the end of the day the club want to very much bring through our own talent as well and introduce young players from other clubs. So this will be part of what the club have told Ancelotti is expected of him as Chelsea manager. -

Both Turnbull and Sturridge have come across very good so far. Sturridge is an exciting prospect because he has a lot of ability, now it is down to the club and Ancelotii to harness and develop that ability to make him a very important player for us. -
My only problem with squad players like Belletti is that it is a place that could be used to blood a youngster. Chances are Belletti will not be starting many games next season and will mainly come off the bench. Why not use his squad place to allow players like Cork or Stoch to get minutes on the pitch and develop in the premier league???

I think he will get plenty of time even before that! If he can have a good pre season he has an excellant chance of getting the oppertunities to show what he can do.

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club
EskWeston replied to .Cee's topic in Transfer Archives
Yes that too. The point is that a big name attacker is only going to bring quality and competition to our team. Which is a good thing. -
Signing up talented English players is always a good move. Can't say i know too much about him though to be honest.
-
A season long loan in the premiership is always a good move for a young player. However, if he has the oppertunity to be 4th choice now then i think that he should stay because to get integrated with the squad now and play whenever given the chance for Chelsea can be just an beneficial to him as a loan to Wolves. Also what will the situation be at the club after the year, will we have signed another CB for him to have to compete with? It is a tough call to make, but we need to make the right one that will give him the best shot of being a CFC player in the future.

Competition for places. Zhirkov left, Pato right, Drogba Centre???? -
The is the element of the unknown about him which is exciting. I think from what i have seen of him he may suprise a few people this season when he gets his chances.

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club

Well i personally would like to sign Aguero or Pato so i would play them either wide in a 4-3-3 in place of a winger. Or rotating with Drogba and Anelka in a 4-4-2. We need to build up and not be afraid of upsetting people, either of them quality wise are more than capable or surpassing Malouda, Kalou, J.Cole and Anelka. -
Joe Cole is the nearest we have to the "creative" type player. Lampard and Drogba are special players who can do incredible things but not the sort of player that i think we are lacking. Our main problem is that our attacking line is getting older. Drogba and Anelka especially. Plus we never really in the same way replaced Robben and Duff, the way they played absolutely terrorised oposition teams and we have not had that since and that is what we are looking for.
-
Stoch, Di Santo, Sturridge, Kakuta and Mancienne all have to prove still that they can play at the highest level on a regular basis. If a couple of them were fairly established i would agree with you. To wait could be a big mistake, we may not be able to land someone at that time and we could be left with nothing or someone not quite good enough. It is obvious we want a big signing to improve the quality of the squad and we DO need someone who can do something special!

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club
EskWeston replied to .Cee's topic in Transfer Archives
Aguero would be good enough to earn a starting place for sure. A lot depends on the formation we end up playing with for the main part... A player like Aguero or Pato or Ribery is something we have been crying out for some time, that real special spark of a player who can make things happen out of nothing. That is why we are trying to sign these players. -
Yup i thought the same thing. I guess with a number of players who are certainly on their way out and possibly another 1 or 2 on the way in they are waiting till all deals are done before deciding officially on their squad numbers.
-
7 should be retired!!! that bloody number is cursed....
-
Do we NEED a big signing? Probably not, our squad is excellant for sure. However we seriously need to be considering the future. To sign, especially Pato or Aguero now would put us in an excellant position to build on for the future. With so many of our players into their 30's it is now we need to start dealing with replacing them. Plus to be adding the quality of a truly World Class player to our squad will take us up a level and make us even stronger and give us a even better chance of winning the big cups this season.
-
This has been a silly story, created purely for the purpose of selling papers and raising Man City's profile.
-
Of course they do! But the question i ask myself is about their thought process. Do they really feel that they need an extra £20k/£30k a week when they are already on £100k+ a week? I do find it interesting that nothing has been said on Tevez when everyone thought it was done and dusted and city would announce this week..
-
Have liked what i have heard from him so far. He seems a decent guy and i am sure he will work very hard in training so that when the chance comes and Petr is injured he will come into the team and do a good job. Lollichon was aparently instumental in the descision to sign him so i am sure he has seen something in his natural ability that he believes he can coach him to be a very good keeper.
-
Wearing 18 in training today which is the number he usually wears.
-
If the asking price is truly £35m then we won't be in for him either! The only possible reason we could be in for a right is if we are to use Bosingwa to get Ribery, but we would be mad to pay £35m for the replacement right back.
-
It is very hard for us to know. What we do know (and it is good to hear) is that we are chasing a big name signing. Hopefully the club will make the right signing. I would be happy for Tevez to sign for us, but if we are talking a BIG signing for big money it has to be either Pato or Aguero for me every time!!!!
-
Sturridge was wearing number 23 in training yesterday. I would assume that his number will be confirmed during his press conference in a couple of days time.
