  1. At the moment i wouldn't say we have an injury crisis at all. Lets see what is said once all the lads are back from international duty first. Plus it looks like Lampard is the only longish term injury doubt at the moment.
  2. Excellent to see Carlo has faith in our young lads, unless these boys get games at the highest level they are never going to reach the heights that they can. I truly hope that Carlo does give the ACN period to allow Borini, Sturridge and Di Santo the chance to show what they can do because they are all very talented players.
  3. Not too much of a crisis at the moment. Losing Lamps is a blow though, Ashley Cole should be back for the Arse game fingers crossed. And to have to pick from our midfield from the following: Mikel, Essien, Ballack, Deco, Malouda, Cole, Zhirkov... i think we should be able to cope just fine. Would have liked our strongest 11 out against the Arse but we have to work with what we have and i think we can still win it...
  4. It has been confirmed that Frank Lampard suffered a muscle tear in his left thigh while away with the England national team. The midfielder reported back at Cobham this morning having flownback from the Middle East. The Chelsea medical department's initialimpression is that he may take approximately three weeks to recover. Source: Chelsea FC Not good news, to have to play Arsenal without Frank, Bosingwa and possible Ash makes the game even tougher.
  5. 1. Zola 2. JFH 3. Desailly 4. Gudjohnsen 5. Makelele
  6. I am sure it is not serious. Given that it is a pointless friendly i am sure that players with any slight concern are being sent home. I am sure he will be available for our next game.
  7. Yeah i though that too... Unusual as well for an injury to be described as "life-changing".... don't know if i would read too much into that at the moment to be honest. Could well mean that he won't be back playing anymore which is a real shame. Also a real shame for him the move to spurs never worked out for him or improved his situation.
  8. I would be suprised if we did considering the ammount of cover we have in that position, and the fact that by the time we sign someone in Jan Bosingwa will be pretty much back in action...
  9. This is a blow to us thats for sure. He was in some great form. We do have Ivanovic to cover there and also Ferreira, so hopefully we will be able to cope, but i would have prefered Bosingwa to play, especially against Arsenal.
  10. Goalkeeper Rhys Taylor has signed a new contractwith the club that lasts until 2012. The 19-year-old stopper hasfeatured twice for the reserves this season. Source: Chelsea FC It is good for Rhys that he has signed a new deal. However i was unsure of what his future would be. He has suffered recently with a few injuries, but at the same time his performances have not been quite the improvement we would have wanted to see. Clearly the club feel he can still develop more, and i hope when he comes back from injury he can start to make those improvements, a loan spell at some point in the future will be good for him too...
  11. A lot of our young players have the potential to make it with our first team. But potential needs to be realised by first doing well on loan and then trying to make inroads with our first team. Mancienne is in the top bracket at the moment for players likely to get a regular spot with the first team next. Van Aanholt is also looking like having an excellent chance, and at left back which is a very specialist position, we are lucky to have both Van Aanholt and Bertrand both who are looking top prospects. Thanks to whoever moved this to the correct thread, much appreciated.
  12. Very true, Mancienne's experience last season at Wolves will be very different to this seasons. He will probably feel he performed better last year, but he will learn a lot more this season.
  13. lol The loan is currently only till January, could be extended till the end of the season as he is playing regulary or the club may feel a move to another club will be better for him. Yes i agree, playing regular league football is vital for their development.
  14. He is doing very well by all accounts, playing every game except when he was injured for a short period. All the reports i have seen on him so far have been very positive indeed.
  15. Am now currently reading "Cell" by Stephen King
  16. We will most definately make signings this January, what sort of signings they will be will be very interesting.
  17. I agree, i can't see how it can be upheld to be honest, but you never know....
  18. Of course it was. Will be interesting to see what DOES happen in January though. I would assume they would be looking at it with a view that worst case scenario the transfer ban is upheld. Our squad is very strong though and it would be hard to see where we can bring people in, obviously someone like Aguero would be great but with Nico and Drogs on excellent form at the moment it is hard it happeneing. Best news of this is that Kakuta can play again.....
  19. In light of numerous media enquiries, Chelsea can confirm that theCourt of Arbitration for Sport has informed us that it has agreed to astay of the two-window transfer ban and the playing ban on Gael Kakutaimposed by Fifa's Dispute Resolution Chamber until the appeal has beenheard and completed. There will be no further comment. Source: Chelsea FC
  20. Lol, what a way to introduce yourelf to the Chelsea fans...... I don't think anyone wants to see Stamford Bridge branded, but it looks like it is going to happen.
  21. At his age it will be very very difficult for him to break that record now! It isn't impossible but not very likely. He will be missing a chucnk of games this season due to the ACN which will hamper this seasons goal tally.
  22. Miroslav is having a fine season at Twente is very much impressing there. His problem is that he is most definately a winger (although i have seen him play some excellent games behind the forward) and is playing the whole season as a winger. We on the other hand are playing a midfield diamond, when he comes back is there going to be a position for him to force his way into? I certainly hope so because he is a big talent.
  23. Another fantastic performance, Bolton were right in our face and were determined o get physical with us. The sending off helped but once again we are creating so many damn chances. We are looking very good at the moment. The last goal was seriously something special. He didn't get on the scoresheet but Anelka is becomming a massively important player for us, at the best level he has ever been in my opinion.
  24. John Grisham - The Rainmaker, is my current read....
  25. Delighted to see Bruma got his debut. Bruma is a proper talent and one hell of a prospect. Playing well above his age contantly will only improve him. Have to give Carlo credit, he is more than willing to include our youngsters. Borini, Hutchinson and Bruma all getting games with the first team already this season..
