  1. I thought he was the absolute dogs danglies when he first started playing for us. What a shame, scored some classy goals...
  2. Aparently he does it all the time in training, and practices it too....
  3. A tasty prospect? Our bench will glitter gold now we have a full strength squad....
  4. Will be 2 games surely because of the CC Final? Yes the side will be strong for sure. We have the luxury of being able to field a strong second team. In theory we could play the "b" teamers: .............................Cudicini............................ Ferreira...............Alex.......Ben Haim.........Bridge ...............................Mikel.............................. ....................Sidwell...........Lampard................ Wright-Phillips...........Shevchenko............Sinclair/Malouda Not too shabby
  5. The choices we have are great and it means we can always field a world class midfield and at the same time keep players fresh. Getting the Balance is going to be hard though i feel.
  6. Only just noticed the pics of the 3 kits. They look the real deal to me and certainly match up to what i already knew 100% the colours are. I like them, they are pretty decent really, nothing too flashy.
  7. It is incredibly problematic. You can't play them all, and i would be wary of playing a trio of Essien, Lampard and Ballack because i feel they are all too similar and it will have a negative influence on the performance.. They all in their own respects World Class, but we can't play them all and they will all have to understand that, we have to put the team out best suited to win that game that we are playing.
  8. Ahhh, good call on the Barca lob, what a goal that was.....
  9. We won't take the game lightly, but it does still give us the oppertunity to rest some players and give players like Sidwell, Ben Haim, Sinclair ect.. a run out without putting the game at risk.
  10. Happy 60th Maka!!! Surely he is that old now, he has been around forever
  11. ..........................Cech............................ Belletti......Terry...........Carvalho.....A.Cole ..........................Mikel............................ ...............Lampard....Ballack.................... Anelka...............Drogba...................Kalou I think at the moment this would be my prefered starting 11. Although there are some doubts over Drogba's fitness which would make it easier and J.Cole would play right wing.... Although to play J.Cole instead of Kalou and have him in a free role behind Drogba and Anelka would be a decent option but would mean a lot of work for Cole and Belletti...
  12. The mentality of it is ludicrous. Where is the logic of letting someone do little or no work earn the same as someone like me who has works hard and pays a shedload of taxes. The message is stupid: "Do as little work as you like, it doesn't matter we will make sure you have enough money as your mates who work 10 times harder than you!" We are a country of handouts, and the people who get screwed are the middle classes. The upper class don't give a s**t, they have enough money to not worry. The lower clas are raking in the handouts and the hard working middle class gets shafted!
  13. The team selection is going to be interesting, lots of world class players who all want to play and all who can make a big difference for us. So who do you pick and what formation do we play? Will be very very interesting. Players like Drogba, Essien, Lampard, Terry who have not featured much recently are massive players for us but should be in our best 11. Then players who have been important for us the last few months like Anelka, SWP. Joe Cole, Alex, Maka.... Its a tough one to call but we need to get the best balanced squad out possible.
  14. Politicians are so out of touch with the real world it is untrue, they have absolutely no idea of how the average person lives and to be honest they don't care either. Going back to Mikes post i voted for UKIP last time around because basically i agreed with most of the things they stood for, whereas i didn't agree with the majority of the rest. I always feel i should vote because i need to have my say, but i always do my research and vote to what most resembles what i feel, otherwise it is all the mongs of the country who decide who runs the country. Taxes are an issue, we have taxed up to the eyeballs, but this is mainly because our goverment is handing money out left right and centre. The latest hairbraind idea is to give people more money on benifit who do what they are supposed to i.e. keep their kids out of trouble (i am sure you have all seen it) What they are doing is making so that people do not have to bother working or work a minimal job doing little work and then have the government top them up so they earn the same as someone who works 10 times harder and actually pays the taxes...
  15. Lol, that was the main thing that stood out for me also. I can't see him leaving AC, and he even says so himself.
  16. Kalou gets a lot of stick, but for me he is our most exciting winger. The fact he is not ALWAYS perfect is not a problem for me, we all know how long it took Ronaldo to completely settle. Kalou is class and at his age will get better and for me he is going to grow into a super winger, his stats speak for themselves.
  17. It is a very bizarre qtr final draw with so many lower league teams still left in it! There have been some big upsets but at this stage i wouldn't expect anymore. Pompey have a good chance on beating Man you and if they do that would be huge for us. West Brom in the Semi's would be nice
  18. Because he is the only midfielder who offers something different than what we get from Lampard, Essien and Ballack. Mikel is a player who hardly every loses the ball and builds the attacks to perfection. I would always want him in the team....
  19. Down to the clubs. Last round for us was played at the bridge, but the previous rounds were not. So it all depends really where the clubs decide they want to play.
  20. Yup we usually have the bottle to control these teams. An upset would be a massive shock! Any chance you think Pompey could turn over the Mancs?
  21. Nice little draw! Would have been better to be playing them at home though....
  22. His achievments for us have been incredible, and some of the goals he has scored have been incredibly important to us. Especially the 2 against Bolton
  23. I guess it would depend on if you believe the conspiracy theories about the FA and the draw balls? There is no way the FA would want one of the other teams to be in the final, the attraction of the game as far as they are concerned would be a lot less. Although, if it IS all down to luck then who knows. If we DO draw Man you then i hope to god it is at home!!!
