most of the games we played at the bridge last year were high line with our forwards (costa-oscar-willian) pressing really high.
-
i have seen zouma own eriksen, aguero, sterling and fellaini. he is a defender, his skills on the ball are secondary, his positioning, tackling, defending and the primary things. i am opposed to it cos it ruins all the good work we have done in the last 3 years. getting value for money. is stones better than costa, cesc, hazard, willian? better than our whole back 5 combined? soon every team will start doubling the price like in early roman years as soon as chelsea is involved.
-
so except against the top 5 teams, u think our defence got excess protection? i cant buy that. hell, we even played a successful high line with gc and JT. also, lets be realistic here. say we get stones. u think jose drops his tactics of counter attack and low block against the big teams? suppose we had stones in our squad right now, he starts yesterday and we play attacking football? i for one dont think so.
-
and what exactly has stones done to warrant starting over GC or zouma? i would love to have both too, but currently what we need is a CM. but we are wasting that money on stones, who will NOT be the difference between winning the league and coming 2nd. a CM will be.
-
are u serious? are u actually serious? to have the best defence in the league, you dont need top class CB (which stones is not. if he is top class, then we already have 3 top class CBs). u need a system. a strong partnership and even then cover from mid.
-
if that performance shows that stones is worth 34mil pounds then lukaku is worth 50mil and cleverly is worth 20mil.
-
looking at the more important part of the PC, who do we have planned? jose said we did not buy a striker 2 years ago cos we knew costa was coming and his price was fixed etc etc... so is there a plan for the right wing and CM too? i honestly think for CMs, we might look internally (pasalic or mvg). i have no idea about RW though. also, i was never a fan of getting stones for 34mil, but if that is what it takes to end the CB talks for years and to focus on real areas of improvement in coming years, then so be it!!!
-
hahahahah... would be so awesome if we dont sign baba but re-sign cole. the moaning on here would be hilarious!!!
-
now i just cant understand why exactly he would do that. jose will never give him a chance in midfield. we have a 25 year old azpi along with a 21 year old baba as our LBs. we have a 21 year old zouma, looking to buy a 21 year old stones for th future. i mean why the fuck would u relegate urself to years of loan deals, no stability. a different team every year, different players with whom you have to develop a rapport and a chemistry in a short span. honestly would love to see what goes on inside these kids' heads.
-
in an ideal world - YES. but realistically how? can we get a 75mil pound rated suarez? another 80mil euros neymar 80mil pound CR or 80mil pound bale or 65mil pound james? those are the players which make them standout. bayern is a different model all together though. they had players like muller, lahm, alaba, kroos and bastian that all came from their academy. but to reach that state, bayern had a couple of very very poor years. i have no illusions of this squad. we have a fabulous first team, but 11 players do not win you much. you need an arda turan/vidal in case one of MSN gets injured. you need an isco in case james/bale gets injured. u need a gotze if one of robbery get injured. our best sub is ramires. while i love rambo and his versatility, i have no qualms about his level. what sets us apart is JOSE MOURINHO and his tactics. if that means playing defensive football for 10 games in a 60 game season, i am fine with it.
-
if it means cuadrado is leaving them "PARTY TIME".
-
our players being tired was as much jose's fault as it being that we had or have no where near good enough subs. schurlle was crap last season. salah could not pass the ball against strawberry. mata and kdb did not want to fight for the team and their spots and hence had no place. we won... no we WALKED THE LEAGUE despite having the 3rd best squad on the paper cos of JOSE MOURINHO and his tactics. so cesc was wonderful against the likes of qpr where we could not muster a shot on goal until rob green fucked up? thats the difference between pro football and FIFA. get off the console for once and try to understand the reality. also, get your facts straight. we did not have costa when we played united. we did not even have remy when we played united. if it had been any of those 2, we would have won 3-0 cos both the teams DD got behind the united line, his lack of pace cost us. as for oscar and hazard, they still created a moment of magic even though we had only 29% possession. and thats what a good counter attacking performance is. would have been even better if we had one of our main strikers. hard not to get rowdy when people cant see the reality and try to act funny and sarcastic.
-
barcelona had messi, henry/neymar, etoo/suarez, iniesta, xavi, yaya/busquets. how are these 2 teams even comparable. i am bringing arsenal and liverpool into account cos we are closer to them than to barca/RM/Bayern. and they are the perfect example of what happens when u dont take into consideration your attack and squad's limitation.
-
learn to understand things. would be beneficial in the long run rather than saying racist things.
-
@specialjuan - you wanna take this one?
-
flock mentality - how people are influenced by their peers to adopt certain behaviors, follow trends, and/or purchase items. the flock mentality i am talking about is how everyone has been influenced and even brainwashed by barca/pep that attacking football is the only way to go. and most have been influenced by the self righteous arsenal/pool fans. who despite playing like shit and even scoring lesser goals somehow have the "moral high ground", hence "flock mentality". i was happy when we played ultra defensive football under RDM too. most of us were. hence, i dont see how it has got anything to do with jose.
-
so people who are happy with winning a football match are part of the "flock mentality", yet people who want to see every team play "beautiful football", or tiki taka football or unadulterated attacking with out a care of defence is the most original and unique way of life? hahahhahaha good results dont mean good football. true. defensive football does not mean bad football. VERY VERY TRUE. and we were very good defensively in that match.
-
ya you are right. we should have played beautiful football. we were only on the verge of a PL win with most of our players too tired or out of form, but we should have tried to go out their and play with DD, solanked and brown, 3 strikers. jose out. he knows nothing. by the way, you turned your sarcasm off but try turning your brain on for once.
-
in my opinion, silva will. when city played 4-4-2 with 2 proper strikers upfront (aguero/negredo or aguero/dzeko), silva used to play on the wings. think it would be the same case here. much like willian though on a different level altogether. aguero silva kdb sterling yaya fernandinho clichy demi kompany zabaleta hart. subs - cabalero, mangala, kolarov, fernando, nasri, navas, bony. very very strong squad. has to be said.
-
the game where we were tactically brilliant, where united had one good chance all match and the game we WON!!! HMMM... joseout!!!
-
moan moan moan moan moan!!!! boring!!!
-
THANK YOU!!!!

please be patient guys...

what post?

i know. but i was just saying that IF we want to replace mikel with someone currently on our books, we have already have 2 options better than romeu. so if we are getting some money out of this deal, so be it.
