does not matter for me. even if the most fucked up rambo turns up, he will still have ten times the balls the cesc ever can. and as shown today, it is the determination and the grit that wins u big matches.
-
JT was fine? he was abysmal. simply could not do a thing right. everything got played behind him. aguero kept making the same diagonal run across JT and not once could he do anything. look at the difference zouma made. NO. its not okay to have a player who you know is not going to give u anything in a big game. he can play against the sunderlands and the norwichs but never again against a big opposition. and so far, jose has shown nothing to say that he would give oscar a chance ahead of cesc. what the fuck was that from cesc in 30 seconds. silva turned him like he did not even exist. hopeless. ramires was good. you really need to watch the game. i gave matic the motm cos of all the shit around him, he still stood out. he won his duel against silva again and again. made a couple of very good runs.
-
well, i guess i must have seen a different game cos along with matic and begovic, he looked like the only person who could hold his head high. he should have been the partnering matic, not the bottler.
-
the fact that we have played only 2 real football games since may 3rd means nothing? pool, wba and sunderland were dead rubbers. no one cared. pre-season friendlies are not something to judge on. if that was the case then barca should have a disastorous season. we might eventually concede. but lets look at the odds. for 2 years, we have not lost a single game against the top 4 (united, city, arsenal, pool). we try to play with cesc-matic in the mid and try to play offensive football, we lose to both arsenal and city. i dont think i that u need to be a rocket scientist to know what exactly the problem is here.

something massively wrong is happening at the club. i have no clue what. but jose seems high. what the fuck were these tactics today. cesc alongside matic at etihad. he needed evidence that it does not and wont work in a big game after what happened in the community shield. why the fuck did cesc even start the fucking match. even if he did, why the fuck did he start as a DLP. he has been atrocious for 8 and a half months now. begovic - saved us the blushes. stopped it from being an embarassment. 8/10 iva - i have nothing to say. the next match will show if jose is even taking us seriously. if iva starts the next match, i will know for sure, that jose does not give a fuck about the club. GC - cant judge him when players to either side of him were just ridiculous. JT - shocking display. simply could not handle aguero. seemed so out of depth. azpi - played well against navas. pressed well. but with hazard sleeping, it was just useless. matic- MOTM for me. brilliant performance. along with begovic, our only bright spot. cesc - horrendous. dont know why people have taken more than a season to see how shit he is when the game is on the line. a big game bottler. he always was and always will be. hazard - so completely unfit. how the fuck could he have missed that chance. shocking. willian - poor by his end of the season standards. ramires - another one that can hold his head high. and this is why rambo is so important to the team. and that was so not an offside. costa - shocking. should be benched. right fucking now. subs - zouma - looked decent. could not do much for either goals when iva cant even give a fuck to jump or contrl a fucking football. cuadrado - LOL.
-
do people still want to convince me that cesc is not a big game bottler?
-
we do rely on hazard and cesc on everything that is our offence. we have been doing that since jan. we have not forgotten how to defend. you dont just wake up one day and become shit. our USP in big games was how well organized we can be. look at what silva did to cesc 30 seconds into the game. it was as if cesc dint even exist. tell me that would have happened if mikel/ramires/zouma had been playing instead of cesc. NO. and that set a precedent of what the match was going to be. the difference being, we gave them a look in with 30 seconds. normally we frustrate teams. make them commit more men forward and hit them on the break with some of the quality we have. we did NONE of our things today. we played this match without any tactics. and we got OWNED. unsurprisingly.
-
the difference is that if we did play defensive/counter attacking football, we would not have conceded 3 goals. we might not have even conceded a goal. we had one shot on target and we put a poor performance cos our best attacking player hazard is completely match unfit. cesc is a big game bottler and should not ever even start a big game.
-
teams like barca, RM and bayern boast of players like messi, CR, suarez, neymar, bale, modric, robben, ribery. half of the world's world class players are in those teams. please do not compare chelsea to those 3. what separates us is that we can change our game according to the need. we can play good organized defensive/counter attacking football - called by idiots as "park the bus", when required to. that is what sets us apart.
-
i thought people here would be happy. we did not park the bus. we did not play defensive football. we had a lot of possession.
-
so then the point is, can he play at LB? wow, sad state of affair. who would have thought that when we walked the league 3months ago. shocking.
-
if iva or costa start... i ll be so fucking furious. thibaut azpi zouma GC baba matic mikel moses oscar hazard falcao time to give players a chance who actually seem to give a fuck.
-
yup. definitely.
-
if getting him means i dont have to see iva playing again for along time.. then so be it... fuck it... so fucking pissed.
-
i dont think thats how a big club should be run. price tag should not be the main considering as to how starts and who does not.
-
and what happens to moses now? he is good in his loan spell and brilliant in the pre-season and now cant make the bench. in short, every chance he has gotten, he has shown himself to be quite good, and yet cant get on the bench. i am sorry, its just unfair and things like this would break a player's confidence and spirit. the next time we see moses, we will see him being selfish, trying extra harder to show that he can make a difference and have more pressure on himself.
-
he also had a very good last season with stoke whenever he was available. he also was one of stoke's best player against city when stoke beat them in etihad.
-
0-1 win... i ll take it
-
no moses on the bench... WTF!!!
-
cesc had better do something good. high time for a good performance.
-
wickham starts over murray. seems like bamford will be their 3rd striker. sucks.can become a waste of an year.
-
i dont think so. even when he was not injured, shaw looked average and no where near 30mil. blind looked better than him which is saying a lot.
-
fair enough. it was not the most eye pleasing defending and we were not comfortable always BUT, we conceded 27 goals in 35 games to win the PL (not counting the dead rubbers against pool, wba and sunderland). 5 of those 27 were against one team where we were not playing a high line. so 22 in 34 games is not a bad record, is it? (i know we were not playing a high line or high press in a lot of them like city double, utd double, arsenal away, pool away). i would take that this season too.
-
we have zouma who is showing "potential", we have the likes of christensen who is showing "potential", surely we dont need to spend 34mil on another one with "potential". and i am not writing shaw off. i was saying that just because a player is being over-hyped, it does not mean we have to sign him. and it also does not mean that if one of our rivals do sign him, "we would look like idiots"
-
times have not changed as much to have a max 20mil value stones to be sold at 34mil. luke shaw was a bad transfer. and in the end the club who payed that outlandish amount came out looking like idiots. 50mil pounds (70mil euros- 6th highest transfer fee ever) is simply IDIOTIC. its going to take a hell lot of goals and assists to convince people about that fee. so as i see it, 2 of our challengers did stupid things, i dont think we should follow that. stones is a good defender, but no where near that money.
