qpr flash back..
-
glad to hear that...
-
some1 who has this opinion is not worth arguing and wasting my time with. as fas as today is concerned what did u expect after what has happened in the last 2 home games. do u think he would have taken a chance of starting with torres and hearing 42,000 people boo him and his blonde whore when we would have been losing... plus i dont know why we are praising rafa for today's match selection. he has put a strong team with the intention of winning, and that is the job of a manager (the primary one). any1 with an ounce of brain and footballing knowledge could have put this team on the pitch, or are we just going to write his name in golden letters every time he does the right thing by dropping a useless and past his prime player (torres) for one who can help us win a match(BA)?
-
so then dont make him the reason we are winning. what sense does this make? if we lose its because the players screwed up but if we win then it was because of rafa's mind-blowing and out of the world tactics.
-
first of all the losses were barely when "he had inherited the team"... i m not talking about the fulham game where this "excuse" might work... secondly, for converting of chances, do u actually believe we dint deserve to win the wba game or the liverpool draw or did we deserve to lose the game to united which started the ""slump"" and what if hazard and mata had taken their one on one chances against the juve... so lets not go into the debate of what might have happened if we had taken our chances. both qpr and swansea games were for a major part his mistake, for uneccesarily resting mata and hazard for the first one when the next match was an fa cup match and not making changes sooner even though we were trailing since 38th minute in the swansea match.
-
very true because losing to teams like juve and shakhtar (away) is far far worse than losing to qpr and swansea at home... right?
-
all this aside, who here thinks that pep will be successful at bayern? One thing that Pep has proven himself good at is building a strong team. But I'm unsure whether he'll be able to recruit enough young talent like he could from La Masia. He's going to need to work with a team filled with experienced legends. To make that team work to his liking is going to be a tough job. in my opinion bayern is going to have a hard time. on the lighter side to things - now we can actually see robben passing the ball or will we??
-
but thats the point of it. this is season is not over yet (and we as chelsea fans should definitely understand this thing. at this point last year we were crying over CL football with the CL trophy nothing more than a dream and a fantasy and in my opinion RM are in a much better position to pull off a CL win than we were at any point of time last year) . we should judge him on his last 2 seasons which have been really good for RM considering some of the hammerings they were getting in el classicos, their trophy draught (i m not sure about this but i think they dint win anythin for some seasons) and most importantly their CL form before jose came in. this season has been an utter disaster for RM but i hope that they do win the CL (i cant stand the idea of any other big team winning team given that the other biggest contenders are barca, united, bayern and juve)
-
oh come on dude... thats not fair. one copa del ray, one la liga and 2 semi finals in 2 seasons is definitely success. RM might be having a bad season right now but its still not over (they are in copa del ray, they are still in CL) and i dont think we need to go very far back in history to see a club winning CL who dint have a good season in their league...
-
he learned from his mistake. 5-0 was a tactical disaster trying to defend against barca with the team RM has. i do remember benzema scoring off valdes mistake in one of the many el classicos last year which goes on to show that the idea of parking the bus was totally dropped (i think the goal was in the first 10 minutes with the score being 0-0 and no reason for desperation).. we are not as good as RM RIGHT NOW but with the likes of mata, hazard, oscar, kdb, coming to the fray and becoming the players every1 tips them to become we can be awesome. even right now if we had a striker like BA upfront instead of the blonde whore from the start of the season (i dont like to think what we would have been with some1 like falcao) we would have been in CL, probably pretty much in the title race if not the leaders. (so i think u r underestimating the team a little) bayern was a given... that was just sane and good management.i think most managers would have done that. plus RM almost pulled it off in the allianz arena if not for the coentrao error.

with pep gone it seems more likely that the FSW might stay 2-3 months longer than expected... but still i expect him to be out by jan next year at max... COME ON ROMAN, DO YOUR THING...

he played against barcelona and won at camp nou and won a 2 legged tie of the spanish version of fa cup, and he did this without ever parking the bus against the best club in the world (going by the number of trophies won in the last 4-5 years). i think this is a very wrong assumption that jose is a defensive coach. dont forget that madris scored 121 goals in 38 league matches which cant be done by parking the bus. he simply does what is the best for the team and to generalize that jose is a defensive coach would be wrong in my opinion...
-
oh my fucking god... with pep gone, the chances of us being stuck with FSW increases a lot. on the other hand it would make roman desperate for jose... i dont know whether to be happy or sad by this news... anyways kinda relieved that Pep wont be leading us. never liked that cheating prick.. but anything would have been better than FSW...
-
i expect him to get a hat trick today... ... come on LUKAKU...

anytime anywhere... how about a straight swap for nando and dzeko...

better give marin a chance with kakuta and piazon on the fringes rather than buying another winger...

Frank Lampard outwitted and outnumbered - funny!

HILARIOUS... -
lampard is one of the greatest midfielders but if he read your post i think he would get a nice laugh too. we are talking about ZIDANE. he is not one of the best, he is the god-damn best. by the way if stats are the only way to go then xavi and iniesta would not stand much in any debate. lampard has that awesome positioning sense to get into scoring positions and be involved in the goals, thats one of his best quality (ie. his knack for scoring) which makes him stand apart from the crowd but zidane had his qualities too. even if u think lamps and iniesta are better than zidane, its fine, its your opinion but to say lamps & iniesta >>>> zidane is an insult to one of the best footballers to have lived

2 lines to sum him up perfectly. the last line leaves a bitter taste...

i still cant see the use of starting bertrand on the wing against stoke... we might have won the match but i feel it was a bad and useless move.

i remember a move when torres had just come on, mata had the ball on the left wing and was looking to cross it. torres and hazard were the only 2 people in the box with shawcross (i think) covering torres while huth and wilkinson near hazard. mata played a long ball to hazard on the edge of the box instead of just crossing it to the blonde whore for a chance. just shows how much trust our players have in torres. plus if evrybody noticed, with BA we are far more direct, we put balls in the box irrespective of the result (i dont think BA won a single header in the box today against shawcross) but yet it gives us that X-factor when, while when torres came on, we simply fell back to our "nothing" game.
-
a lot of what happens in this match would depend on what team FSW picks for the match. also the team should not be complacent. we should remember their was no rodriguez or lambert in the fa cup and with these 2 players, southampton are a far greater threat. my team would be cech azpi iva terry cole luiz lamps MAZACAR BA.
-
but we get too 1-dimensional... towards the start of the match, we were doing what we do best, give mata and hazard the ball and hope they create magic... when these guys found the going tough lamps took it on himself. he did what a deep lying play maker should do perfectly, i dont think any1 can do that... for me the club has already invested in midfield (mikel, oscar, kdb, rambo, romeu plus josh), i dont think the club is gonna buy some1 for 20-30 mil, so they must believe that some1 at the club is ready to step up (probably oscar) and for me he has miles to go... even if we go out and buy some1 to replace frank then i believe it would cost way more than frank's wages for a year, hence for me the solution is simple - GIVE LAMPS HIS CONTRACT.
