both of those things were taken into account. In strikers, if we sell lukaku, don't think we will have anyone filling that slot. In Am, the 6th AM spot Will be given to some one like moses, traore etc.

Should we be worried about our "homegrown" player quota for next season. With lamps and cole leaving, bertrand saying that he will leave if he does not get first team football, I don't think we really have players to fill that quota. Gk- cech, x, x Defenders- iva, GC, JT, azpi, x, x, x, x Mid- matic, rambo, DL,mvg, x AM- hazard, schurlle, willian, oscar, salah, x Strikers- x, x, x Out of the 14 players that I think WILL be here next season, we have only 2 to fill that spot. In strikers, if we sell lukaku, don't think we will have anyone filling that slot. In Am, the 6th AM spot Will be given to some one like moses, traore etc. With us not getting shaw or that looking nore and more probable, no other english left back seems to be an option. Moreno/rodriguez/coentrao. So between 3 defender spots, 1 DM spot and 2 gk spots, we need to have 5 homegrown players. What say?

one good performance from RM (or rather a hopeless one from munich) and people forget all they have done thru out the season. Dint torres score an awesome volleyed goal against bayern in the supercup? Does that mean he is an aweaome out of the world striker. Or is it the fact that when you have acres of space agaonst a team foolishly playing tiki-taka, you are bound to create chances. Minimum expectation. Oh hell, even yaya sanogo and danny fucking welbeck created chances and missed sitters against this defence and people seem to think bemzema had a blinder!!!!

is it a done deal?

sooooooooooo,,, will we really play our "B" team. losing to pool would mean 2 points ahead of arsenal and barely 3 ahead of everton. considering that our last 2 matches are against teams that would kill to be in the PL next season, just starting to think that we atleast need to go for a draw. ----------schwarzer--------- --azpi--cahill---iva----cole-- ---matic---mikel----lamps--- ---salah---torres/ba----schurlle against ATM, the back 5 remains the same but the mid would look like -------------back 5----------------- -----------luiz----rambo------------ ----willian----oscar----hazard---- ----------------etoo------------------
-
we played the same exact way against bayern in the super cup. if oscar had not missed that open net, we would have been out of sight. even with 10 men, we were the better team. but still we were called as "defensive" and "parking the bus" by people. i think that was what that guy is trying to say.
-
what a brilliant performance from bayern munich. 65% possession. 500+ passes completed. wonderbar!!!! oh wait!!! they just lost 1-0, please tell those people who wanted us to play awesome attractive football against ATM that sometimes, you have to adapt.
-
Want a treble winning, well balanced team to become an impotent tiki takaing stupid team, make pep your coach. Ps - someone needs to tell pep that putting the round thing wins u matches, not passing that round thing. pps - not scoring a goal against this RM defence needs a lot of effort and concentration, bayern did do that job.

Fa understand sarcasm... breaking news

As much as I love bashing uefa, this one is on fifa.

the minimum we can do is give him his due after he has had a brilliant game.

the extent of this blow cant be said in one word.

Stopped reading after the first line. Anyone who thinks that rambo until december was "below par" simply is prejudiced. The rambo that owned toure, the rambo against arsenal, the rambo without whom we simply could not imagine our pivot.I am not giving an excuse for his touch. I said it was a poor touch. Read my last post again. But what is baffling me his slagging him off for that one instinct. Except for that one mistake, he had a good game. He did his job. He did all that was asked of him.
-
If you actually go through the couple more posts of discussions between me and specialjuan, then you ll know that I have said the exact same things. Rambo's role changing in the team with matic coming in, rambo playing solely cos we don't have a option etc etc. Nothing here that I disagree with
-
Sure dude. Whatever u say. I mean 6-0 arsenal, 4-0 spurs, 3-1 united, 2-1 and 1-0 city, 2-1 pool. All of this was cos we played crap. I mean jose's sole responsibility should have been to play attracyive football, who cares about a long term system, balance, work ethic. You know there is a team in PL, which does all u want - ARSENAL. How is that working out for them.
-
making excuses??? u r slagging off rambo for having ONE poor touch in all of the game and accusing me of being selective. how many times did willian lose the ball. how many times did torres try and dribble instead of passing to willian/rambo. lamps could have been sent off. cole slid in for the last corner and could have ended up costing the match on the counter. azpi let garcia run behind him a couple of times. DL's freekicks were a joke which was our ONLY real way of scoring a goal. which player dint make ONE mistake. slag all of them... rambo's primary job last night was his defensive work in which he was brilliant. he totally shut down luis. yes he is clumsy. and a little "dirty". but he generally makes up for it with his fight. and u need such players in the team. that's the difference between us and the likes of arsenal/spurs.
-
have to agree that people here have a point. i mean we were simply without our best DM(matic), our best Am(hazard), our best striker (etoo), we lost our no.1 GK after 15mins, but we should have gone out all guns blazing. i mean its better to get our asses kicked 6-0 like arsenal and spurs than actually do the most sensible thing to do. did these people actually see our bench last night? if we had played schurrle for rambo and oscar for mikel, our bench would have been ake, kalas, mvg, rambo, mikel, ba. a very apt bench to play away against the side that bloody well owned barcelona a couple of weeks ago. i mean the height of idioticness from some of the posters is just.........................
-
dude. he looked up. but torres was nowhere. torres was way behind him and the defender who was running into the box. the ball would 100% have been intercepted. he could have held onto the ball and hoped for a miracle to happen. but just on that one occasion you simply can not condemn him last night. look at the defensive job he did on luis. as soon as schurrle came on the wing, and rambo went central, luis played around azpi and almost got a shot from inside the box. and that is why he was selected last night. he will be selected for the next match cos we dont have any options. mikel and lamps are suspended. matic is cup tied. so it leaves him and ONLY him as our true midfielder. we have a lack of options and have to make up for it. rambo has been in a poor form plus his various suspensions in CL and PL would not have helped his confidence. and please dont make stuff up like been a passenger for 90% of season. he was our ENGINE until the start of the year.
-
until december, he was one of our most consistent players. still remember the meltdown we had before the pool game as rambo was suspended for 5 yellows. his performance against city at bridge when he owned toure all through the match. but no doubt that he has been poor (i wont even say average), he has been downright poor since the start of this year. can be cos of his new role in the team with matic coming in. he definitely does not have the skill set for a no.8 player. but to say this about his performance last night "What the fuck was he playing at when he was put in last night? His first touch was that of a school boy on the playground and there isn't anything you can say good about the ball he played." is a joke.
-
come on munich. hope pep does not play his bloody tiki-taka style.
-
i just dont get it. we are judging him on last night, when we had 10 men behind the ball, and this was no palace or sunderland but CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB, who bloody stopped barca from scoring for 90 minutes at the bridge. in that case, we probably should not buy messi if we have the chance cos he has done FUCK-ALL against us ever. suarez could not get a sight at goal in december, so he should not be considered too, right?
-
why mvg? wont lamps/mikel be better. plus if DL plays, he should play in the mid. GC-DL partnership is a recipe for disaster against pool.
-
sometimes i doubt if people watch the same match.
-
if we were leading 2-0 from last night, i would have disagreed. but right now CL has to be the priority. i would have disagreed cos, more than the title (which is a very long shot now), we have to give thought on th 3rd spot. losing to pool would mean just 2 points off arsenal with 2 games to play. plus the league form we are in, puts us in a bit of a bother. but right now, we have to give all our thoughts to CL.
