DD won't just be coning here for only lukaku. He will be a MASSIVE help to costa too. Infact, he night be the difference between a WC costa and a good striker costa.

There are so many CONS to this deal that its not funny. Firstly, DD the player would barely be half as good as he was in his prime. His fitness itself seemed so poor in the WC. secondly, the HG quota. We already have costa, torres, hazard, oscar, salah, schurrle, willian, rambo, matic, azpi, luis, iva, 2 or 3 of cech/courtois/mark, plus 2 of mvg/romeu/tiago/mikel. Which almost fills up the quota of the non-Hg players. Thirdly and most importantly, I feel that no way does Jose go into the season with 4 strikers (costa, lukaku, DD, torres). For a team that lives and breathes on midfielders and plays with one striker for 95% of the time, having 4 strikers is more than OVERKILL. which means either lukaku or torres goes off. And since torres is unsellable, this leaves massive question marks on lukaku. On the pro side - DIDIER FUCKING DROGBA is coming BACK!!!! BACK TO BRIDGE!!!! THE BLOODY LEGEND!!!! Mvg and salah don't count as U21 as far as I know. Lukaku counts as HG even if not U21. But the list given above includes, mikel, romeu, mvg, rambo, matic and cesc. Which I don't think will happen. As far as I see it, We might have 3 non HG gks (cech, thibaut, mark) For 8 defenders we have 3 non HG players (iva, azpi, luis) For CM/Dms we have 3 sure shot non HG players (rambo, matic, mvg) For AM we have 5 sure shot non HG players (hazard, oscar, schurrle, willian, salah) For strikers we have 2 non HG players (c osta, torres) Hg players are JT, GC, CESC, LUKAKU Which leaves us with 4HG slots to be filled in 3 defender slots (zouma, ake,?), 1 CM/DM slot (romeu/mikel/chalobah/new signing) and 1 AM slot (moses/piazon/atsu etc etc)

THIS. this is very different from what u said in the first post. IF lukaku is not happy with being no.2, then he can get lost!!! but the way people have been speaking, they make it seem that selling him no matter what (even if he wants to stay and fight for his place) is a brilliant idea. why? just cos lukaku would be entering the last year of his contract and his value will decrease. right now, lukaku personally cant be dumb enough to not know that we are his best chance at glory!!!he wants to play in a CL club, i cant see where other than us he can play. moreover, right now there are sources, like sky which confirm that he will be fighting for the spot while there are tabloids like mail, telegraph who sprout nonsense day after day that he is on his way out. and then there are a certain posters on here who clearly have an agenda over him.

actually very simple to understand!!! we dont need the money!! lukaku scoring 15 goals this season and going for 10mil in the next season is a way better scenario for us than lukaku going to 25mil this season and we buying a 10-15mil rated remy or emenike to replace him and having another season of "our strikers are shit, so we cant do anything".
