Even if that is right (considering torres does hold the ball up cos everytime he touches it I either see the ball to the opposition or torres sprawled on the floor with the ball inadvertently going back to the oppostition), just tell m e how many PL goals did torres score using his hokd up play or just tell me how many goals chelsea scored using torees' hold up play. Lukaku is 21, even if his play with the back to the goal is not as it should be, he is still a massive threat and definitely more than torres.
-
Still hate him. Maybe not as much as before but its still there. But nonetheless, its just obvious that he will be our main man this season. He will be the player whose performances would have us winning the league or simply folding.
-
Van ginkel and salah are 21 but don't count as U-21 according to PL rules as far as I know off it.

Just visited the sturridge thread. DEJA-VU!!! probably worse as lukaku WILL be bought by city/united. A direct title competitor in coming years. Atleast with sturridge we can be sure that he won't challenge for the title for the coming future.
-
If lukaku goes, he will be the 5th CM ahead of romeu.
-
What??? Lukaku was a HG player. And we are selling himSo if anything it makes a worse situation for mikel. 3gks (cech, thibaut, mark) 3 defenders (qzpi, iva, luis) 3 Cm (rambo, matic, mvg) 5 ams (hazard, schurrle, willian, oscar, salah) 3 strikers (costa, dd, torres) We are already 17 non hg players full. The quota is done. What's worse is due to this lukaku shambolic deal, we losr romeu too and he wil have to go on loan. If lukaku is sold, cech/mikel is also as good as gone.

Where habe they gotten better? Seriously?Caballero is a good signing for them cos he is a decent back up GK. courtois is a redundant move cos cech is not joe hart who got dropped for mistake after mistake. Fernando is a squad signing but something they dearly needed. A good back up to yaya-fernandinho rather than falling straight back to garcia/rodwell. Mangala is a no-brainer. I can't see them losing to the likes of cardiff (or burnley this year as analogy) and have a pathetic away form to start with. We had a 4 point gap on top of 2 wins over them to begin with. We had to win against them this window to lessen the gap. And nowhere did I say that they have performed better than us in the window. We have been downright exceptoonal in this window so far. Getting costa, fab, luis and Dd for a net expenditure of 20mil (or less) is a great deal. But that doea not mean I can't say that city tok have gotten better, cos they have.
-
thats the point. if we have gotten better, so have they! even they have improved their weaknesses (all 3 of them in my opinion). no doubt it will be a very very close title race, and to win those u need to have an edge. we lose that bit of edge by selling lukaku. ps - yaya has confirmed his stay at city if i remember correctly.
-
in m opinion, there is only one IF. IF we go into the season with a striker force of costa/dd/torres,then i cant see us winning the league.
-
u could have bothered to have read the line before that too..
-
each to his own then. just dont see costa/torred/DD as a PL winning combo. city barely won the league with aguero/negredo/dzeko and jovetic. u need good strikers to win leagues. its costa's first season and he might struggle (i hope not) and even if he gets 15-20, we would need one of DD/torres getting 10. dont see that happening. but each to his own!!
-
30/5/2013 dude.
-
sure. and i will have a 3some with kat dennings and natalie dormer.
-
how do i ignore them when there is only one thread alive on the forum discussing the same stupid thing. also, i dint get angry, its more u who has taken me ridiculing di marzio to your heart. i mean how many sources and how many articles have been published since june? its been 2 months (and 1 month of transfer window) and yet lukaku is STILL here. i am just sensing a pattern. moreover with our HG players boundary and the fact that we will be left with DD and torres as back up, this move makes as little sense as u like. but as u said, no one gets it 100% right. so that is all i need to know. there is jack-squat on sky and BBC which are what i would call reliable. if there is news on there, i ll know the truth.
-
dude, i get what u r saying. even i am thinking about long-term. this club can not AFFORD to lose jose (which will happen if we dont win the PL/CL) and for the life of me i cant see how costa/torres/DD would help us in that. costa WILL get injured or have a poor form. if we were to re-play villa away and palace away in a similar position as last season, i dont see how a DD/torres would help in case costa is injured. we are better than we were last season, no doubt. but so are city. their defence with the acquisition of mangala will be shored up. they have a good back-up in fernando to yaya-fernandinho. i dont see them having as poor a start as they did last season. also, the last season flattered us cos we won 6 points over both the teams that finished above us. even if we lose/draw a game, it means we have a 10/7 point gap to close against city which is massive. and lukaku could easily be the player who gives us that edge. maybe DD can do that too but i dont expect that off him (and lets not even include torres here). at the end, if we dont win, jose will be sacked. which sets us back 5 years easily. the managerial merry go round will continue. bamford, baker, boga, solanke, musonda type talents would be wasted.
-
i think after last season it was CONFIRMED by either napoli or by chelsea that they had no contact with each other.
-
u mean this guy
-
the board dint do bad in the sturridge case? so it was RDM and FSW who simply kept sturridge on the bench while torres slept on the pitch? sturridge was "injured" with us on 31st dec and yet fit enough to play every game for pool after that!!! the board forced the issue. if getting 12mil is the only criteria of a "good business" then yes they did good, but unfortunately, it simply is not. lamps wanted to leave on multiple occasions, JT was close to joining city, sure they dint put in a transfer request (apparently which lukaku did) but they are still club legends. lukaku right now is important for us. we cant afford to not win the PL this season which is exactly what we are heading for if our strikers are costa, DD, torres. its simply not good enough to win the league. IF jose actually talked to lukaku yet lukaku wants this move, then FUCK HIM. he can go and put a ball up his ass. but i simply cant see a reason why lukaku would want a move to everton after (supposedly) been promised the 2nd striker role. i mean he has made it clear that he wants to play football for the very best of teams, yet he would willingly take a step (or 2) backwards. he has said on multiple occasions that he wants to play in the CL, which he simply wont get anywhere near to in everton. i just dont get why lukaku would WANT this move.
-
nothing at all in the tabloids about this!!! seems the weekly "lukaku transfer round up" to me. whats worse is that he probably is set to be the 2nd striker and is "willing to fight for the spot" and yet just cos of his past discretions, all the BS transfer news is given way too much priority. i mean since the start of the season, lukaku has almost joined monaco, RM and juve about 3 times and then there is everton who keep bobbing up bi-weekly!!!
-
mata and kdb WERE good businesses. sturridge was almost forced out by the managers/board/ROMAN just so that we could make torres the alpha dog. getting 12mil for sturridge was "good", but the board got themselves into the situation. as for lukaku, he is an IDIOT. an idiotic, 21 year old over-grown idiot!!! he has 2 years on his contract. a lot could have changed in that time. we have the best manager in the world who should have "managed" the situation better. we have bought a player who lukaku sees as a role-model. also how do u think we wont miss him? costa as a first striker is GREAT, but having a 36 year old DD and a guy who does THIS (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVtLxQXFEjI), is suicidal for a team having PL and CL aspirations.
-
talk to me when u get something else to say!!! tired of having the same argument!!! as for not "needing" lukaku. please!!! just like we dint "need" sturridge!!
-
24mil is a very good business. its as good a business as selling sturridge for 12mil was!!! oh wait!!! we all know how that turned out!!!
-
Nothing on SKY SPORTS or BBC except for the martinez interview!!!
-
I hope u r joking!!! Remy? 20 goals? Ahead of lukaku?
