had so many hopes. specially the way he played in the WC. sad to see him go but on the other hand, good deal for both the parties.
-
in that case, what about the biscuit dive in the first leg. that 1-0 set up this match in the following way where ATM had to go for goals. also, it was a straight red. a goal scoring oppurtunity + hand ball= a red card for sure in spain. they are quite strict with handball in spain. 10 men barca, 3-2 atm, i dont see why atm could not scored one more goal and then sat back to counter against a man advantage. infact thats their MO.

Not at all worried about cesc's miss. Infact he has been poor/average in every big game. Against city-no where, against united- got owned by fellaini, 2 legs against pool-poor. Rambo would do a much better job defensively. Costa is going to be huge. Just hope that jose does mot start Dd as the striker. Courtois Iva Gc Jt azpi Rambo matic Willian oscar hazard Remy Bench- cech, zouma, ake, mikel,Dd, cuadrado (hopefully), Rlc

29th already!!! We are cutting it close.

The first goal was a peach of a thru ball from suarez and a brilliant tight angle finish from neynar. 2 world class players havibg world class moments. The second was a freak goal, a howler from miranda who put the ball in his own net while trying to clear. What does any of it have to do with simeone and his tactics. His tactics were SpoT ON!!! ATM owned barca. They should have had a penalty and alba should have been red carded, it should have been 3-2 to ATM against 10 men barca. Instead jordi alba assisted the third goal in the same move where he should have been red carded and ended the match. Again, how is any of this related to sineone. Atm were brilliant in the firat half when the natch was still not decided and I have to say, all of it down to simeone's tactics.

What goal!!! Absoluyely world class goal!!! Looks a different player.

to be honest, i simply dont care what anyone else thinks about us. we are still the evil empire who spend/throw money for any and every thing even if united and pool and city and even arsenal have a net spend more than us for the past 3/4 windows. despite the most number of goals scored in PL, we still only park the bus if you actually believe people. we will always have a negative reputation. what jose does and is doing is that using that particular thing to motivate players. and using it to somehow benefit us. so i really cant complain if at the end of the season it helps us even a little bit in winning the PL.
-
not true. jose has always had a siege mentality everywhere. in his first tenure here. his inter days, specially his RM days.
-
stamford bridge.

desperate times, desperate measures. for a club of CFC's stature, a sum of 5mil is not worth to jeapordise our PL?CL campaigns.

this is what we have been missing for a long long time. need that energy. good that he is back!!!

courtois azpi GC JT luis matic rambo oscar/willian cesc hazard costa.

yyyyyyeesssssss!!! not a very convincing performance especially in the first half but a 1-0 is always good when it is against those cunts. courtois - saved our ass, simple as that. we would have lost the tie 5-2 or something is it had not been for him. his command of the box is brilliant as is his reading of the game. iva - very por performance but got the all important goal. the number of time he got owned by sterling was embarassing. hope filipe is fit cos azpi-luis should be starting against city. zouma - MOTM for me. was a rock. made a mistake when he got caught under the ball but recovered very well. except for that did not put a foot wrong. you could see he was nervous and i remember he cleared the ball when sterling was some 10 yards away from him but considering this was his first "big" match, i cant place that over him. hope he continues this way. GC needs to get out of his comfort zone. JT - decent. thought he was poor in the first half but got back well. luis - a few of the players who could have held their head up high even in the first half. hopefully his injury is not anything serious. cesc - "he tends to be bad in the second half of the season" was what my barca-fan friends had said and i must say, that assessment is looking right on the mark. was nowhere to be seen. defensively, offensively, absolutely nothing. the game just passed him by. matic - had a brilliant game. his runs were brilliant. broke up a lot of attacks and covered well for JT and iva. hazard- pathetic in the first half. dint get the ball but as soon as the game opened up he was running the show. should have passed it to costa a couple of times rather than sticking with the ball. oscar - his consistency to be hopelessly inconsistent is a thing of marvel. i mean the number of times he lost the ball in the last third, just amazing. if he keeps up this way, sooner or later we might have to even think of buying a CAM too. willian - LOLOLOL. please sell schurrle and salah and bring back moses for god's sake. i seriously cant say how moses is any poor than willian in attack. costa- was a nuisance. would be lucky to not get a ban. his stomps were poor and he seemed more eager to get one over skrtel than actually helping the team score a goal. subs- rambo - changed the match. was the main reason for the change in the dynamics. for the life of me i cant think of a reason he dint start yesterday. we need his legs in the mid in big matches. yes, he did misplace a couple of hopelessly simple passes but the number of breakdown of plays, his own breaking towrds the end of the game to always provide an out and his covering of defence were very good. i remember oscar losing the ball on the right wing with iva ahead of him. sterling ran at our defence and crossed the ball just outside of the box only for rambo to intercept and there were many instances like that. he should start against city even if cesc is fit. azpi - awesome as always. his interceptions and steals always meant that we could counter and dint have pool putting a siege. all in all, brilliant result. cup final and hopefully we can beat city and be 8 points ahead. that would be a perfect week.

IVA!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Tjat free kick by oscar!!! How does he do that!!! Genius!!!
-
think he was good. made a mistake but got us out of that hole himself. as for the sterling run, like i said for GC, i will repeat it for this guy too, not many defenders in the world will be able to play against sterling 1v1, at full speed and totally exposed. i wont fault zouma for that.
-
another lol-max performance. willian was summed up by that pass. our midfield gets cut open so easily when we try and press high. iva has been terrible, EH.costa and cesc have been anonymous. oscar has been brilliant cos saying anything else about him would really hurt some people's emotions. lets count the number of times he has lost the ball today. matic, luis and courtois are the only ones who can hold their head up high. sad, but we are mostly going out by the looks of it. sterling and coutinho's pace is a constant worry and they have got behind us a couple of times. only a matter of time i would say.
-
Only a matter of time, is not it!!!
-
No rqmbo?? Seriously? Atleast zouma starts and was hoping azpi had done so too inplace of iva.

did i miss something?

can see us going out. not at all positive about this. keep thinking that we will be 2-1 up by 70th minute, try and park the bus and concede the second in dying minutes and then would come pool countering us in the ET while we try and desperately look for a goal. with the way we have been playing, just cant afford to give pool a first half goal.
-
oh great!! he is still here!!!
-
maybe slump was the wrong word. "rut" would be more apt. we are in a rut. we have no consistency. over the last 3 matches we have ranged from exqusite (swansea), to poor (pool) to absolutely horrendous (bradford). the match before that (newcastle) we were awful in the first half and deserved to be losing 2-0 and then had an awesome second half. we are giving away leads (something unheard of in any jose team). its time we went back to basic (starting tonight) and put in solid performancs.
