Hazard is man of steel. He gets dead legs and random knocks and he gets up and smiles in the face of the culprit. Loved it!
-
A year extension with lower wages would be an idea situation. Though then we'd face him and Terry leaving in the end of the next summer.
-
People are ripping each other's heads off but come to think of it - isn't it great to have atleast 3 MOTM candidates and none of them being Mata for a change?
-
Hold on, be strong

He was ok. Held up the ball for time to time and did link up plays. Gave A.Cole and Lampard good chances to score, both got saved by excellent Begovic. He outmuscled Huth to have a shot at goal but Begovic saved it. Did a lot of defensive work, especially in the first half,

Stats are on our side, but didn't expect a solid 4-0 win. Big thanks to Walters -feel sorry for him but- that's life. MOTM is Hazard, he was amazing. Lampard could have had a hat trick if he had scored the 2 sitters but in the end of the day could, would and should do not count - all in all good game for him, amazed how he still manages to keep his cool and dodge tackles of grim reapers' of Stoke. Luiz was very good, super interceptions etc, so was Azpilicueta. Bertrand was useless in the first half, second half he didn't caught my eye with anything negative atleast. Ba created a lovely chance for Lamps, otherwise didn't have much to work with to be fair, did a lot of defensive work in the fist half.
-
Taking the lead so end of the half time is always great. Hopefully Bertrand can stop being useless.. he seems so scared on the pitch

Very good post and points - well done mate

Ancelotti did a brilliant job, sacking him was the worst managerial decision the club has ever done.

You've got a point, mate. But you also could realize that Sturridge's body language and actions on the pitch made him less liked my some members. So it's not all about his media image and how they are trying to depict him.

Forget sacking Rafa its a new board we need

I agree with you ,Henrique. I can't remember people raving about Lampard and especially Drogba a few years back. Now suddenly after they are gone/about to go, people wake up and start to worship them as irreplaceables. Seems a bit odd and hypocritical. There were threads how Drogba was not good enough, he was diving etc. -
That's right. Let's sack Benitez, the board. Sell Ramires, Mikel and Torres - our problems are solved. Fed up with these self made professors trying to fetch likes with knee jerk posts and contributing shit that's 'in'.

Sure they listen, it's not like they get somekind of satisfaction pissing the fans off, but i guess they are trying to the best thing for the club financially. -
Ancelotti should have never been let go. He managed us for 2 years, more than 100 games and had win percentage of nearly 62%. Bloody good.. it's a shame - people also liked him in general, though as usual same faces kept asking for his head after a few slumps.

Well said, mate. Another one of those threads where people post memes and slate Rafa /Torres to hoard precious likes. Not to mention patting one another one the shoulder saying how talented we are etc. -
Might be an easy game but it takes to be a genius to succeed. Only a little, very little proportion get to be pro regarding football or sports in general. You're bringing up successful people, who made it in the business but there must be millions of counter-examples of players/managers.
-
Sam Allerdyce would love that. After all, there are only a few managers who's CVs are more impressive.
-
Don't be delusional, playing FM isn't actually qualification for coaching badges, lol

It came down to not using our chances and we had them alright. Atleast a couple of 100% chances but also a penalty call turned down. So wasn't our day...
-
Luckily there is the second leg - so i remain hopeful. All in all.. bad day for Ivanovic, put the 2 goals on a silver plate for Swansea. Though, the main worry is that we missed 4-5 sitters. Might argue that Torres was the culprit, in fact he was utterly useless, but we just didn't take the 100% chances - our own fault. Well done to Swansea for using our mistakes to their advantage both time. Can't say the better team won, because we did dominate, but in the end of the day the end score counts. So much possession and pressure from our side.. now I know what it feels to be a Barca fan and lose. Remain hopeful but it will be hell of a tougher job in Liberty Stadium, fingers crossed. MOTM for me was Hazard, Mata was uncharacteristically wasteful. Luiz did brilliantly in the first half,, second half average, can remember a few interceptions but also a sniper rifle bullet aimed towards the stands. Our fullbacks are put into a situation constantly where they have to make a cross to the box from a very tight angle. At the end we actually had someone to attack them and very nearly got a goal. Demba did good when he came on and imho it was a penalty. The boos for Torres was deafening, hope it gives out a message for matches to come.

100% penalty
-
Luiz has been brilliant. Owning it up in the midfield with his vision and passes.. well done.First time I've actually noticed his brilliance in the midfield.Though Hazard in my eyes has been a bit better, but not by a big margin!
-
Ivanovic made the mistake that gave the goal away but man, is he playing his heart out - RESPECT! Edit: Oscar fished the card for Hernandez brilliantly, nerves of steel. Well worth an Oscar!

My point wasn't that Frank isn't capable of winning games. What I meant was that it is not smart to be so dependent on an aging player who in his best mind can't perform on the same level week in week out. That's why im saying if he accepts a smaller role and a proportional wage he'd still be very vital for us. Like Scholes and Giggs. Giggs still makes things happen for United, when he does come on, but he has accepted that his role is more to be a super sub when he comes on and mentoring and being an example to younger players. The board seems to be moving to a direction where they want to clear Chelsea out from the old-guard. They have too much say and power - a factor that keeps any manager away on permanent basis.
