Falcao, Cavani etc. Are all very good strikers. But it seems strange to me when we have people of various blogs wanting to exchange torres for any striker that scored two goals in a match. The fact that both strikers have some excellent midfield behind them is regularly confined to their mental dustbins in bid to slag off torres. Neither Falcao or Cavani and in the same class as torres but torres have the misfortune of having a midfield that bothers on totally useless behind him. Against liverpool the midfield did not create a single chance for him yet he still managed to hit the post and drop deep to look for balls. I can bet my left nut that a torress infront of an arsenal or spurs midfield would be an awesome machine far better than falcao or cavani. You dont buy a mercedes SLK to work in a farmland. the idiocy or buying an expensive machine but throwing away the manual is a mistake that we must not repeat this season. thankfully the board is at last waking up to this by looking at buying fast, pacy, young, players that can play to torres strenght while standing firm of drogba's contract. next season hopeful with on the right road, we will see how fast this Mercedes can go.

he is a traitor. yes he might felt bad at been loaned out (understandably so) but to be making one controversial comment after the other shows him as someone mentally retarded or doing it on purpose. We should recall him back and stick him in the reserves for the remaining part of his contract. Maybe tevez can teach him golf.

he is having a good game ( thibaut). but what is player is this falcao. such composure and technique. Jesus we should be looking at getting that guy in the summer. Cash + sturridge and malouda.

Champions League Final 2012 - Chelsea 1 (4)-(3) 1 Bayern Munich

yes torres is not too good at defending but he tracks back well, causes the attacker problems and will stick his leg into any challenge to win the ball. that is/was why the fans loved him during his trying times. sturridge will never stick his leg into a challenge. he will rather jump away. ( arsenal match ) and with the ball, torres is a far better player than sturridge. he dribbles better, crosses excellently, and brings more to the table than sturridge. for the final, he should start on RW and swap positions with Drogba. -
i must confessed that in the heydays of AVB, i was not a fan of lampard at all. i saw him as the single most disruptive player in chelsea ( and i still think so when things don't go his way). But since RDM days and lampard being deployed as a deep lying playmaker, i have had to eat my words over and over again. He is simply awesome in that role and his combination with mata and drogba/torres is astonishing. His pass to drogba for that second goal against loserpool was simply xaviesque. His importance to the team has grown in leap folds since he was redeployed deeper in the midfield. The question that has bugged my mind since RDM's takeover is (why was lampard so negative towards this same role during AVB's time but now takes to it like fish to water under RDM) was AVB's man-management skill that bad?????

Daniel Sturridge has the potential to be a very good player but he needs a strong coach to guide him. His overbloated sense of self-worth, and an abnormal crave to get noticed has lead him to making several bad decisions especially in the later part this season and i strongly fear for him with or without RDM at the helm next season. His game time is recent time has been largely due to squad rotation and the dearth of proper winger(s) in the team and if we get those next season, i frankly believe he will spend more time on the bench. Apart from his performance at the beginning of the season, he has consistently made wrong decisions, play for himself rather than the team and stopped many goal scoring chances than he created or scored and thus made him a liability to the team rather than an asset. If a good offer comes in, he should be sold or sent to swansea if Brendan can instill the ethos of teamwork into him. Sadly he will either change his ways and the best he can be or be cast away on the side like many before him. The choice is his to make.

if he has learnt anything in chelsea, it is the fact that he needs to clear out some oldies who will not fit into his style. the popular saying that you cannot teach old dogs new tricks should be his watchword going forward. Having said that, i wish him well in his future endeavors.
-
play malouda on the left. He might not offer much going forward but will put in a nice defensive duty anytime. also he and cole understands each other perfectly.
-
good buy with little money, best case scenario; he turns out to be a superstar and we have a steal. worst case scenario; he is unable to cope and becomes a good squad player. i will rather have him as a squad player than malouda.
-
lol @ Jiamin. dont let your boss catch you though. especially if he is a barcelona fan
-
he scored a vital goal that eased the pressure and sent us through because he made his luck and was out there to tuck it in. whatever he did or did not do not withstanding it was a great goal. he may not have the defensive nou of a drogba who started his career as a defender. Infact torres has sacrificed more than any other player since joining chelsea. He has had to change his style of play, position and starting role so let him be. more to that, i dont think he has ever had to play as an auxillary left back throught his life. Bottom line; He did his bit and whether walking, crawling or running, we are going to munich.

Nicolas Anelka becomes player-coach at Shanghai Shenhua

he was the only chelsea palyer i ever loved. Way to go Nic -
Thank God. I will be loath to see her go.
-
that would be lovely sam8. i am sick and tired of this fecking primadonnas
-
we should have bought him for less with an agreement with his club to loan him back to them for the rest of the season
-
any caught in this descpicable acts with enough proofs (cctv etc) should be face a death sentence. people should not be allowed to kill fellow human being over a game of football. no excuse whatsoever, they should face the maximum penalty.
-
thank . Get well soon Bobby. Not time to sing heavenly blues yets. Keep singing earth's stamford bridge blues' for now.
-
what the hell. magicrico please confirm he will not be loaned back
-
weird that we loan out Josh to swansea and now we are taken piazon to swansea to fill up Josh's place. kinda funny
-
i second that thought francozola. lalkovic should be given more game time as a RF. he has the pace, skill and has a good eye for goal. he should be in this team more so that we are now adept at signing players for the future rather than the present.
-
i dont understand all the this myriad of signings when we can get them to help the club out in anyway till summer save for KDB. what is hazard's use in summer when we are out of CL and did not qualify ( God forbid) for the next one. Rather shaqiri and jovetic for me than hazard.
-
i am willing to try carefree. after all fortune favours the brave...
-
hope this is true about KDB. i want that guy in chelsea as a replacement for malouda. he is versatile and can play in the midfield as well. although i thinnk we need him now, it is best he remains in genk or on loan to a team that will play him week in week out than bring him in and bench him like lukaku. on the hindsight, it would have been great if we bought lukaku and kept him in anderlecht till the end of the season. he would have gained more than on chelsea bench.
-
Obviously he is good but not on chelsea's level yet. Great burst of pace and he possess some trickery with the ball. he will come good in a couple of years. but i dont think we should buy him now cos he can only play in the reserves. if we can negotiate the right of first refusal on him and let him play at partizan for another two years, it would be nice. a player for the future no doubt. the potential is there and since he is a self confessed chelsea fan, we should give him a trial and keep an eye on him for the next 2 years. looks like a younger jovetic to me.

something is seriously fishy about krasic. Juve initially wanted 12m for him sometime ago but are now prepared to let him go for 7m if recent reports are to be believed. seems they want him off thier books at all cost then we should be wary of this transaction. smells of a dump to me. Also all the clubs interested in him seems to want him on loan first. maybe he wont be a good acquisition after all. Rather Jarvis than this krasic with KDB swapping wings.
