  1. I really like a passionate and aggressive player like him, but he's a thug.
  2. Another great performance against a top team. Should replace Cole for club and country.
  3. He should be homegrown as well, shouldnt he? He'd spent about 3 seasons at United
  4. Never that great to begin with. No thanks.
  5. Except his reaction to the provocation by someone who just conned him is at least acceptable unlike Suarez who for no particular reason decided to racially abuse and even bite fellow players. Also he did fuck all to get himself banned.Vertonghen is the one who should have gotten the second or third or fourth or fifth yellow for faking an injury instead of Torres who didn't do anything wrong. If you rewatch even the highlights, Vertonghen is the one who was constantly having a go at Torres not the other way around. Ref should have controlled Vertonghen, instead he ended up rewarding him for being a bitch.
  6. So was your Belgian compatriot Vertonghen. Could have easily gotten 5 yellow cards yesterday. 1 for dive of the year 1 for starting an altercation with Torres who at first wasn't even interested 1 for tackle on Ramires 1 for shoving Torres 1 for faking a head injury to get Torres sent off I swear 1/3 of MOTD was Tottenham dominating the first half, another 1/3 was Chelsea dominating the second half, and the other 1/3 was Vertonghen being a cunt over and over again. You know he got away easy when Villas-Boas didn't even bother going on and on about the ref like he usually does. In fact, I'm disappointed Torres only managed to "scratch" Vertonghen. I would have punched him right in the face after that disgraceful dive. And that audacity of his to get in Torres' face when he fully knew he dived to get a call! By the way, what a game by Torres. I've been his biggest skeptic* but I hope he continues to show the fight he showed today. And if Vertonghen does something stupid in front of him again next time, I hope he does the right thing and get sent off for doing a legitimate offence, not this scratch nonsense. * I bet more than 90% of my 592 reputation came from Torres bashing.
  7. No need for him. Not only do we have 6-7 top attacking midfielders, we've also got Boga, Musonda and Bertrand Traore (presumably) coming up.
  8. And it could be Lewis Baker! Was hoping for Christensen but I guess Kalas is ahead of him
  9. I do think that Mata's a much better option in that case at least at this stage of Oscar's career. Oscar however has bigger potential IMO.
  10. Oscar. I like his combination of intelligence, work rate and directness. I absolutely love Mata, but he kinda disappears in big cup matches where we play counter attacking game à la Napoli, Barca, Bayern, Liverpool (FAC), Benfica (Europa)
  11. Of all players, some want to blame Mikel for the loss? He wasn't great - no one was - but he was still one of our better players until the game went nuts.
  12. He, along with Mata and Torres, will have been training together for good couple of weeks. Makes sense to play them.
  13. Two things that are encouraging: 1. I've underestimated Torres' mental strength. I thought he would want to leave after sucking for so long. 2. Nothing Torres does disappoints me anymore because there's no expectation to begin with.
  14. More confident about this one than I usually am about Everton aways. Everton had a great transfer window, but Fellaini and Anichebe were two players I didn't like facing. I say start with Torres, Hazard, Mata and Willian/De Bruyne. Belgium only has to play one game this break, and the Spanish duo aren't involved this time. Semi-strong (and well-rested) side should be enough against an Everton side that probably still needs a few weeks together after their key midfielder's left.
  15. I just hope there's an option of recalling in January
  16. Maybe this is why Hazard went straight to Lukaku after he scored his goal
  17. Jose said Eto'o is the only striker in the world he could see playing with Drogba. Eto'o is versatile enough that he can play many different positions. We do have lots of attacking midfielders, but that's not the reason to absolutely use them. If the situation calls for it, two strikers formation will happen.
  18. Not only that, it gives us another year to see if Lukaku can be the man.
  19. No kidding. 35M for Martinez would be the most disappointing signing in recent memory.
  20. I think Jose respectfully disagrees, or at least Eto'o would be better than Torres and Ba.
