Carroll is the new Duncan Fergusen.... Its interesting to see how inflated premier league prices are... Suarez and Luiz cost about 20 mill each coming from europe Carroll and Torres were 35 and 50 mill each coming from England
-
The only reason Carlo should be sacked is if we do not make the top 4....

Firing blanks in the last seven games

To be fair to Torres it is not 7 games, add up all his minutes on the pitch and it will amount to 5 at most.......the problem here is Malouda, he will not score while that guy is in the team.... -
The only problem with him was the offensive side of his game, defensively he was brilliant.....now he has the confidence from that goal against City he could really be a big player for us....
-
Whats the stats from the last 10 games though - I would imagine that is for the whole season- he was flying at the start... I'm pretty sure Liverpool played Yossi on the left of a 4-4-2, that would work perfectly for us with Ramires on the right....Yossi providing the service for Torres and Drogba/Anelka/Kalou......
-
Plus we had momentum going into every game on the back of a decent result....I'm just hoping no one gets injured this weekend, espcially if Israel play Yossi......he is hugely important to Torres scoring any goals...
-
He has upped his work rate recently though. His form is poor at the moment but he is trying.
-
The worst player out thier is Diouf.......there are plenty of players who we love to hate, but that c**t has spat at fans numerous times (one of the lowest things to do), and played the race card when he abused a steward against Everton.... Hang on did'nt a certain French Manc do that aswell against one of ours???
-
I guarantee that Torres won't score in open play this season while Malouda is on the pitch, who's with me on that??
-
I don't want to be stereotypical or predudice here but french players ALWAYS seem to cause problems if not playing for a french manager......I'm still not keen on Anelka either. Since Torres has been bought Drogba and Kalou have really worked hard when given the chance, but those two (Malouda and Anelka) are trouble....remember how they behaved when Grant was manager??
-
Ancellotti always seem to give his starting 11 at least 60 minutes before he changes things.
-
Fairly new to TC so did not see it......not a fan of Anelka though either....
-
Torres is still trying hard, looking for the ball all the time and not waving his arms and moaning at team mates (although he has every right to have a go at that greedy prick Malouda)...
-
The difference is Anelka is a centre forward who has played his whole career up top, so it is more understandable. Malouda is not and as a wide player knows he has other responsibilites to the team.
-
Or "Malouda is a greedy c**t"

I thought we done well yesterday and were in complete control of the game for nearly 90 minutes. With regards to individual performances: Luiz - top drawer defender who's distribution is fantastic, is there a better alround centre half in Europe at the moment?? Lampard - you have to remember that Frank is limited in his ability and has to play to his stengths, which is what he did yesterday. Kalou - Gives another option to our other strikers and is starting to use his brain a bit more. The only problem with him is his strength when he has the ball with his back to goal, looses it every time. Torres - I thought he played well yesterday and the problem is no one in that team has the footballing brain that he has, he is to advanced for them. Our midfield is all about Strength power and pace not creativity. For Nando to truely shine for chelsea a playmaking midfield player has to be brought in. We have this in Yossi and im hoping when he is fit he will play on the left in a 4-4-2 with Drogba and Torres up front. Drogba - He really seems to have adopted the attutude of fighting for his place and being a team player - very good to see. Malouda - Absolute disgrace and I worry he is gonna destroy team spirit soon with his selfishness, you know if he is 25 - 30 yards from goal he will never pass, like a kid in the playground. What annoys me most about him is we cant play 4-4-2 with him in the side, has to be 4-3-3, as he wont pass or defend.
-
I think Malouda is becoming an absolute disgrace now and can see Torres having a major ruck with him on the pitch soon. He is a wide player NOT a centre foward and a wide player is supposed to cross and play others in. The most annoying thing about this is that we had we can't play 4-4-2 with him in the team, as he wont defend or pass and have to go 4-3-3 to accomodate him. I am alone in being desperate for him to be sold in the summer, and replaced with a hard working wide player who can compete with Yuri??

-
Great Malouda is confirmed to start in this game, expect more Greed Greed Greed....he seriously limits Torres chances of scoring...as down the left is the best outlet for him, Ramires on the right is more for his strength and tackling and we all know we have no creativty in the middle....
-
He is to weak to play in this game - we need Invanovic on the right..
-
They will play 4-5-1 for this game so move Ivanovic on the right to shore up that side. We only need one defensive centre half for this game(Terry) so let Luiz play and bring the ball out, much like he did against Fulham (remember the pass to Torres?). They will play ultra defensive like always and look for the counter attacking goal. With Luiz at centre half starting attacks it gives us the option we have not had in the past.
-
Well Carlo say's he is back in the team for Sunday so lets hope he starts to pass a bit...can be a bit of a liability in a 4-4-2.
-
How about Drogba, was he looking for him off the ball?
-
Well I think we can put this one to bed now as Malouda must have read this thread!!!!!. He was looking to play him in a few times last night.
-
Torres should be good enough to score against any team in the world, so the opponents should not matter. That said I would include him tonight as the more he plays, you would hope the more he becomes used to our style.....
