Agree. I cannot believe people saying that our chances in the CL are better now, or its destiny because its the 'only' thing left to win. The reason its the only thing left is because we've been so poor for so long now. Cannot blame CA for everything though as most of our players don't seem to be giving it their 100 percent on the field in the games which matter. Drogs (today being the exception IMO), Lamps and Essien are just fading away. We need a midfield overhaul and a striker who can convert when it counts. Honestly cannot see us getting a result out OT with this bunch. Only way it may is if Terry and Ramires score.

No point complaining about the penalty. What mattered is that we didnt convert the chances that were there. And this is where Torres not scoring now has started to hurt. He's missing sitters which others would've probably take. And CA's substitutions are baffling to say the least. He takes off Drogs who looked like the only one who could score and got in Malouda who just keeps getting worse with each game. Poor game, and if this is how we play at the theater of shit, then its really not happening this year.

What a game! Haven't seen the team play like they did in the SOL last night in a while. And the Torres effect was the most evident on Anelka - I hope he fights it out like that to keep his place. Same with Drogs.

CL definitely because we haven't done it yet. No tournament can be won by pure luck, the CL definitely not. You can still win the premiership by losing/drawing against the likes of Manure, Lpool, Arsenal, Villa but beating most of the others. Can you win the CL that way, I don't think so. You have to beat at least some of the best in the world to win it.

Agree with most of your points Shane. I think we should do all that it takes to sign Tevez. Manure's loss, if they are stupid enough to let him go, should be our gain. You can see the absolute commitment with which hes played even in the very few games that he got this year. And rather than whinning about it, he made a difference every time he got the opportunity. Energy, skill the right attitude, I believe he's got everything you'd want in a player.

Not a smart move. He's been terrific in the past but that's too big a price we'll end up paying for a player whose only getting slower. Not the perfect start for the "overhaul" we need this year.

I know we will win it. We have the game, and sooner or later we shall have the luck too. In the meantime wouldn't hurt to prove ourselves by winning the premiership, because we only have ourselves to blame for the slip ups there. IMO consistency in the premiership will help our confidence and create a squad which would be able to handle the big games better.

Maybe its time FIFA introduced cricket-like referral system so that errors made by cunt ref's like today's don't cost teams so dearly and can be overruled.
