  1. Ridiculous logic (or rather lack of it) as many have pointed out. Anyways - I'm guessing you haven't seen a certain Park Ji-Sung play for Manure? For me he's one of their more consistent performers over the last few years, even though his apperances have now reduced. Nevertheless, his commitment and work rate every game are fantastic. Would love to have someone like him in our team.
  2. Sadly enough even though we have ample talent on the pitch, there isn't really a desire to apply it every game. This is the thing that I'm most disappointed with. Why is it that our team decides to turn up on crunch games like the Valencia and Napoli home legs, and pretty much doesn't give a flying fuck about the others? Most of our players seem to fall in one of these categories: - Feel they have a birth right to play but not to perform - Couldn't care less since they are on their way out or out of favour with the board - Unhappy with their playing position or with the way the team sets up - Reasonble squad players but not genuine starters with for a club with our ambitions Even if we do buy a lot of talented and hungry players this summer, I cannot see how a manager will be able to address points 1 & 3 given how much confidence Roman has shown in them in the past.
  3. No creativity in the midfield. No pace on the wings. No real wingers in fact. Strikers who cannot score. A defense which has been clumsy on and off. Massive egos in the dressing room and no real desire to win on the pitch. An impatient owner who wants change but kills it before it begins to take shape. Not the right ingredient for Champions League football.
  4. So fkin poor the last couple of minutes.... Spurs looking so much more likely to score..
  5. Looks like Saha is coming on.... damn... he's always been good against us.
  6. Thanks for that. I couldn't bare that c*nt on ESPN any longer, he's so anti Chelsea.
  7. One of the commentators on the Firstrow ESPN link is an absolute c*nt. 'I think Lampard just fell over' - Sure he did you twat, he was tripped.
  8. Looked sharp today, so absolutely should start along side DD against Citeh. If only both of them carry on their form.
  9. That last assist from Torres, for me, is his finest moment today. He could've gone himself, prolly scored, gotten his hatrick. What the hell he would've needed it the most of all the players. But no, he sets up a team mate instead. That's what playing for the team is about. Nice one lad!
  10. Danny's selfishness is getting annoying now. will hurt us in some crunch game.
  11. Absofuckinglutely delighted!!!! This is what we need more of, all of the lads giving it their all, and wins will follow. Oh and Terry my Motm tonight. Led from the front and kept cavani and co at bay. Captain leader legend! Suck on that FA!
  12. I absolutely fkin hate the manner in which Ramires gives away the ball so may times every game.
  13. so pathetic after the goal? Seems like our players think we've won it already.
  14. Farewell AVB. You may not have been the best but you deserve better. As much as it hurts me to say this, our club is no longer the place any self respecting manager in his right mind would want to come to. This is Roman's own little harem where the most important thing for a manager is to suck up to a squad full of prima donnas. So, even if someone does I'll assume its just to make a quick buck. I hope no one agrees to join us in the summer and Roman and the board have to go and freakin beg Jose to return. I mean we are being run like a circus anyway, how much worse can it get.
  15. Have always admired Lampard's attitude but totally disppointed with how he has behaved during the last 6 months, which has partly led to this travesty. Still a legend for me though, and I can only hope he finds some way to make it up to all the fans that he has let down.
  16. Sure, fire avb. That will surely remedy the situation. And continue with this sad, incompetent and egotistcal squad, since its all AVB's fault.
  17. Would prefer a 4-4-2 which looks like: Cech Iva - Terry/Cahill - Luiz - Bertrand Rami- Romeu- Mata -Essien Sturr - Lukaku/Drog But since AVB will continue to play a 4-3-3: Cech Iva - Terry/Cahill - Luiz - Bertrand Rami - Romeu- Essien Torr - Sturr - Mata ^ This, since Sturr is our best finisher at the moment, and in any case refuses to play as a right winger. Mata, again, will also continue to play less like a left winger and more like a no 10 dropping behind Sturr and link up, which btw is the only thing I can see working to some extent at the moment. Torres since we got no real wingers anyway and the only thing he can just about do right now is make crosses. Although, I'm not so sure as to what would be right, AVB changing the formation and playing players where they 'want' to or sticking to his guns with the formation. The former would lead to players believing that they can force things to be done their way, which won't be good in the long run since we should have the manager calling the shots always. (Look a how Bacon face has made Rooney play in different positions effectively, without him sulking). The latter, well, won't win us too many games and also lead to inceased frustration amongst our key players who may look to move out.
  18. That we have a billionaire owner who likes to buy insanely expensive toys of his liking, and then expects others to play with them.
  19. The same as our odds of keeping a clean sheet after they had scored the first.
  20. top class finish, they were also going to score. Game on!
  21. AVB can do shit if the players refuse to defend.
  22. I'm still 60-40 on keeping him here simply because firing him will set us back by at least a couple of seasons and we won't be able to attract a top manager anyway. And becoz I think he can do a much better with a better squad. However, he's doing an absolute nightmare of a job in managing this 'transition' and I'm fast losing faith: - He continues making those baffling subs - His line ups dont change, he continues to play people out of postion and yet the expects different outcomes - He won't give youngsters a chance, even though we got some great talent on the bench. He increasingly looks to me like a stubborn fella who is unwilling to admit his mistakes and make amends. Sometimes being stubborn works in the long run, but given what we have at stake this season he needs to change his approach.
  23. Mata out? I think the way AVB's seeing this is us winning 6-0. Is he in another world?
  24. Signing as a 4th CB is fine, sure, but 4th to Bosingwa? Even when Iva can do the RB job so much better? And Iva gets pushed to CB just because RB is the only place Bosingwa can play? Absurd.
