Surely we have to play Ake if Mikel is still injured otherwise whats the point in having him in our squad?

Yes he does need to pick up form, but TBF he has been in and out of the team through injuries and what not. It also doesn't help when Jose plays him further forward, IMO he's miles better when playing in the pivot.

On this forum he's the most underrated player we have, he'll probably be appreciated more when he leaves/retires. He's having a wonderful season, brilliant player.

He wasn't great at all, decent but not in anyway great. I still dont think he's good enough yet for a team like Chelsea.

The thing is he hasn't learnt the basics, his movement, close control and hold up play is shockingly poor, look at the size of the lad and yet he cant win a ball in the air to safe his life. I know Benteke has been poor this season but even he can hold up the play and use his height/physique to his advantage. Lukaku also has pace yet he hardly ever plays on the shoulder of the defence, instead he constantly drops deep in search of the ball. We all saw at the WC how much he struggled against teams who drop deep, when he's not giving space he simply turns into a second rate poacher.

lol we're not in the 80/90s anymore mate. Chelsea have first class facilities and some top coaches, it's best he develops here until he's old enough to go out on loan.

No Cesc or Courtios... apart from that the line up is great, loving the fact Cuadrado starts and Willain is playing as a number 10.

I hope we show our early season form tonight, in recent weeks (apart from Swansea away) we haven't been at our best, we need that energy, pace and attacking intent back.

Willian is better than Oscar in terms of ball control, dribbling, pace and woke rate but i wouldn't say he's more creative. TBH both are pretty poor in this department, but i'll say Oscar just edges it.
