They played well, certainly better than Lampard-Mikel yesterday. Lampard wasn't his usual self (lack of sharpness, to be expected) And in the 1st half Mikel couldn't be bothered to put in a shift, but in the second half once we made our subs we controlled most the game, and Mikel-Essien together played pretty well.

Excited by this guy, he's a big talent, even AVB who was scouting in South america (after we sacked him) told Levy he wanted him, who knows maybe AVB wanted Oscar to replace Modric? i know Oscar plays CAM but maybe AVB wanted to covert him into Modrics role... who cares we have him now.

Malouda is good when he can be arsed, for most of last season he couldn't which resulted in poor performances. Yesterday he played well, fair play, but i have a feeling he's only playing well because he wants to stay for another year.

Imagine if United get him, what a season we're going to have next year, Marin, Oscar, Hazard, Kagawa, Lucas, it's going to be exciting. What we need now in my opinion is a Striker (clearly Lukaku needs to go on loan) and a RB. Anyone else would be a bonus.

Hazard might be too 'complete' compared to Messi? haha 1. We know Walcott and Lennon are faster than Messi, it's no secret, but Messi's acceleration is unreal. 2. Messi scored 82 goals this season, if he's not a great striker than what is he? 3. Haha, this must be a joke surely...? Most defender are not that good at Passing, crossing, shooting etc, Messi can play in most attacking postiions, CM (look at that video above and tell me his passes are not xavi, scholes-esque) CAM, on the wings and as a striker, now can you name a player who can play in all these positions currently in football? 5. So Messi pushed Lampard in the heat of the moment... it happens to everyone, his team was on the verge of going out, he missed a penalty and nothing was going for him, he was a little frustrated but he is a humble guy. If he was playing for Chelsea i'm sure you will have a different view. 6. It's the way you look at it, some people think that the greatest players must have flair, brilliant passing ability, be able to score goals etc, defenders generally don't posses these things. But in my opinion they're some great defenders that many consider to be on of the best including my self, Baresi, Beckenbauer, Maldini etc.

I don't think anyone's deluded, many people including myself are just tired of moaning about him, i'd rather wish for the best instead of bringing up his many faults. That's why i'm optimistic about his future with CFC.
