  1. ^ i swear the 606 forum shut down like 2 years ago
  2. Compared to this time last year i can't help but be more than content with the direction off the club right now.
  3. Don't see why Alex could not play, VIlla played Milner when he wanted to go City, if we pay them we might aswell play them.
  4. Tactics (in my expierence anyway) are not as important as i thoughtor xperteleven make out. Ive beat managers tactically and lost many times and vice versa.
  5. The worry with Swansea is if they do a Hull that won't be good for him either.
  6. Good to see new managers this season, hopefully your all stick around as it's good banter. PS Francozola has got lucky with her team, lots of rated players there. On a note with the cup competition's, its not up to me but for what it's worth i don't think we should do one again for the forseable future as that's what got a few managers bored last time.
  7. Villa are a decent side, only problem is the brand of football Mcleish plays.
  8. Think it's a bit unfair to judge a player solely on his teams league position. In Rooney's last season at Everton, Everton finished 17th, didn't mean United made a mistake buying Wayne tho.
  9. If your staying on my advice would be invest in your academy and sign some good young players at good prices while sacking/selling your oldies, basically go through a proper transition. Might have a few average season's but will be worth it in the long run.
  10. Matchday's areon Tuesday and Saturday, so if the team you challenged already had a game your have to wait till the next tuesday/saturday their not playing.
  11. Im not that bothered mate ive was just wondering
  12. When are next season's fixtures getting released?
  13. Koscielny is in the same boat as Luiz, he makes a couple of mistakes and all everyone gets on his back and assume's he is crap even tho every single stat says otherwise.
  14. Sad thing is Heskey will actually pop up with a leveler or winner at SB
  15. Heskey always seem's to score 50% of his goals against us I say for that reason alone sign him up and play him in the reserves
  16. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1221660/Chelsea-offer-Emile-Heskey-Aston-Villa-escape-route-Didier-Drogbas-Africa-Cup-Nations-cover-transfer-ban-overturned.html Its a old newspaper article but i honestly laughed my head off reading this, "Heskey has many high profile fans at Stamford Bridge" had me in histerics
  17. With the 3 games in 8 days coming up, Paulo has to be used in atleast one of them. I said in the Spurs V Chelsea match thread he would start as he could handle Bale and Bosingwa can't and i was right. I think people remember the April 2010 WHL game too much when Paulo did get slaughtered by Bale but since then Paulo must have assesed what he did wrong in that game because since then he has faced Bale twice and not given him a sniff, sign of a class player?
  18. To loan him out it will need to be a team that guarentee's him first team football.
  19. Don't want to be a killjoy but IMO Ba would not do much better than Carroll if he moves to a top table side, especially for big money and lets be honest Newcastle will play the if Carroll is £35m then Ba is worth more.
  20. We new the score when AVB was appointed, the best thing that would have happened is his Porto momentum carried on (it's worth remembering Porto were also in crisis and on the back end of a horrid season when AVB took over) the worst is not too far off what has happened (but compared to last season's horror show im not too disapointed). Can we remember the situation midway through the last campaign? Malouda and Anelka despite awfull displays kept getting into the team while we had a young and hungry Danny Sturridge who we were in serious danger of losing. Ramires, Mikel and Kalou were the only regular's under 28 (Josh in a sense aswell as he played pretty often back then). Constantly been putting rigid and static displays for the last couple of months. With no passion or creativity. Thinking about it properly are we really in a bad position (especially long term) compared to this time last year?
  21. Are you joking? Yes i wanted Carlo to be given a season to rectify it but i think some of us are forgetting just how horrific last season was. The first 6 games we started like a train we were on a title rebound but after that? The worst display's ive ever seen watching Chelsea happened last season. Sunderland and Liverpool at home were by far the worst ive ever seen from us. Arsenal away, Wolves away, United away, Fulham away were not too far behind either. Even in our "mini revival" in March and April the only truly convincing display i saw from us was the second half against United at The Bridge. Maybe if the squad was at the peak of their powers like a few years ago then maybe AVB will deserve some slack but the fact is it isn't, last season we looked laboured, old and finished. Ok we have had a few bad displays this season but all in all we are 10 times better than we were last season.
  22. I think we need to get some prespective into this. This time last year we would have given anything for Danny to be given a chance and to have a player like Mata. This time last year we would have given anything for Malouda, Kalou and Anelka to be out of the team more often than not and now they are. One step at a time hey, anyone who thinks we are in a worse position than this time last year is mental, unless you want us to drop Danny and Mata to bring back in Malouda and Anelka?
