  1. Most football clubs don't think long term, they wing it really season by season, all teams in this league bar last seasons top 6 and maybe Everton and Saints have a lingering danger of relegation every season, the first thought from the managers is to make sure they stay clear of trouble and will play their best available team there and then. If Bamford on the team means Palace win more games than if he's not, he will play, just like Danny did at Bolton and as far as Remy s concerned he would walk Into the Palace team.
  2. The club deserve their fair share of the blame in some cases but not with Josh, as soon as he got the high wages and the Corrie misses he thought he made it. He's got so much talent its insane but he completely wasted it.
  3. Looks like Jose's bollocking has done him good, if only he was around to give McEachran the same.
  4. It's all about what Money we can get with Bamford. I like him hit he drifts out of games too much to make it here, never quite got the desperation to put him in the squad.
  5. Agreed just need to let them develop at their own pace, I love supporters positivity tho, breath of fresh air. Although having said that ever since getting my fingers burnt with McEachran, I'm keeping a very low profile when it comes to hyping youngsters.
  6. I was more worried about Tel Aviv than Arsenal. Arsenal coming to our own back yard is a tactical walk over, keep a decent shape and wait for them to screw up, Mourinho does it, Fergie did it in the last few seasons and Carlo did it when he was here. I'm amazed more managers don't do it, any half decent side will do well against Arsenal with those tactics.
  7. Just in case anyone hasn't found out, the football league highlights have moved to channel 5, which means the Capital one cup highlights have aswell. Eleven o clock British time ?
  8. We don't need to over play him, if he has similar minutes to Zouma last season and makes similar strides in development then that will be a roaring success on the RLC score. He probably won't start much this season, but we need to see the bigger picture.
  9. This "they only come good against us" is a massive conspiracy, City fans use to complain Sunderland use to roll over for us and play game of lives against them. I don't care if we lost there last three times, that is then, this is now, they have won like 3 times in 2015, if we don't pick up all 3 points against this shower we have no one to blame but ourselves.
  10. Look at Zouma last season, he didn't have much minutes at this time and was getting eased into his role at the club tactically and mentally and this season has played every game before tonight. Patience, his time will come if he carrys on like this.
  11. They always do against us, Mourinho has used the same blueprint against Arsenal that Fergie and Carlo adopted back in the late 00s, be patient and wait for them to inevitably Cock up and it works almost every time. Fergie lost once in his last twelve appearances against the Gunners after doing that, while Mourinho only once in seven (or none in six depending on where you stand on the legitimacy of the Shield being a competitive game) since his return with only one goal allowed. It's actually unreal just how easy Arsenal are to counteract these days, even our defence in its worst form for God knows how long kept them out with ease.
  12. I'm seriously considering logging out for good, all this faux outrage is just too much, and I'm not just talking about this thread.
  13. So, offside or anonymous at St James?
  14. Bony isn't good enough for a title challenging side, he's been beyond average at City.
  15. If we wanted him we should have snapped him up at MK Dons
  16. Can't we have both? Stones and Zouma together has Ferdinand/Vidic potential, if not Terry/Carvalho.
  17. So 7 games undoes how well he done in the previous 3 years?
  18. I meant the thread not Remy himself.
  19. Was quiet Wednesday aswell, it seems this thread is at its most active when he's an unused sub.
  20. I think he will sort it out eventually, but no way will he beat us next week.
  21. I just simply can't see us losing there 4 times in a row, its hard enough for a big team to beat another in the same fixture four times on the spin, I can't recall doing it to any top 4/6 side before Arse today.
  22. Even Drogba didn't net past Arsenal every time.
  23. Newcastle for us and City at The Lane, wonderful chance to close the gap to 5/6.
  24. No real point making that comparison because of we did have Alves the oppo would adjust their tactics and not give him that much space.
