Unless i was playing for Chelsea (and even then id have to consider if someone was offering to double or triple wages) then i would also go were the money is. You won't get a chance to earn huge money ever again so you might aswell cash in on that.

Not quite sure it would make the Ladbrokes specials.
-
Id be surprised if it happens this season, United need 5 teams to collapse to get a sniff, next could be interesting which is why we need a good couple of windows with progressive squad evolution.
-
The problem getting this money will bring is teams will know it's there. Speaking totally hypothetically if Hazard put his foot down and said he wants Madrid and only Madrid and they just got £120m for Casemeiro we would want more than that.
-
If Liverpool fail to beat Everton and Arsenal/City end in a draw we are 8 points clear.
-
Do you really blame him for considering his future? For hedging his bets just incase last season wasn't a one off? Or were you expecting one of the worlds best keepers to commit his prime years to mid table?
-
Not too sure, Hiddink might have drawn a lot but despite that we would have been a few points off top 4 if the season started when he took over (infact we were 3rd in that hypothetical table until we hit beach mode after Villa), we would have needed title form under Guus to have got Europe last season which was never realistic as he inherited a mentally broken squad, he did well enough getting top four challenge form which layed a solid base for Contes spectacular work.
-
Its atleast 80 percent his doing.

Every time we play a lesser side i swear i see atleast one post saying that the team in question "have the game of their season against Chelsea" what reason would the likes of Sunderland, West Brom and Boro to only be up for two games a season against Chelsea and no one closer/with more a rivalry with?
-
Conte isn't Ancelotti, we have already seen players been dropped because of poor form and if we god for bid drop points in all 3 games coming i would imagine we would see changes at White Hart lane. Also we have a weeks rest after Palace and over a week between spurs at WHLand Hull (i can't imagine Hazard, Luiz and Costa playing vs Petobrough/Notts unless we are in trouble with 15 minutes left) so there is still enough time for R and R even in this period.
-
Depends on the opponent, vs Palace? Definitely Matic back in, even more so if Eden returns. Because we need to make a couple of changes to freshen things anyway and Palace have a good scoring record for a shit team but a truly awful defense.
-
They were tricky in his first year but since then (the rut started in this fixture last season for them funnily enough) they have been shite and reapeadtedly walked all over like a doormat, would be truly pissed if we drop points here even with potential tiredness, would be even more annoying than Swansea.

If Conte can convince Cesc to stay on as a squad member for games like these that would be great.

Best keeper in the league and its not even close. Ill say it again throw a new contract with a blank cheque beside it sharpish.
-
Cesc is playing to compensate the lack of creativity Hazards absence leaves and maybe Conte is wary of losing both Kante and Matic at the same time.
-
Maybe this is the time to go for 3-5-2 with Costa and Bats up front together? Mainly because without Hazard we probably need Cesc tonight for creativity but i don't trust him in a two man midfield.

Although i am not for a second suggesting Allegri is better than Conte, he has done very well to keep Juve's momentum going at the top. I never get why people say that taking over a dominant/treble/all conquering team is easy, it's arguably the hardest job in football. How can you motivate players that are already at the top? How can you convince them to not only go again but to buy into new ideas? The best jobs for managers is one's were the team's are flirting with success but haven't yet made that final step, assuming they don't win the league this season Arsenal would be a great proposition for someone if Wenger doesn't extent his contract.

oscar is expected to earn £350,000-a-week and set to become the third highest paid footballer in the world (ronaldo first messi second)

I downloaded a few Las Palmas game just to watch this guy, and he has got serious potential he's like a younger Luiz and i'm not just saying that because of his hair, he's technically brilliant although occasionally gets caught out of position would be like getting another shot at 2011 Luiz again. He rejected Barcelona because he wanted more game time so i can't see him leaving Palmas next summer, but he's certainly someone who's progress we should be keeping an eye on.
-
They fucked it with Sam aswell, i genuinely believe he would have got England competing but now we have to deal with another tactically inept coach who will get his pants pulled down on the big stage.
-
I remember having similar discussion with an Arsenal fan when Pulis was at Stoke, he didn't like the physical defensive football and i said he does what he can to have his side competing, its up to the big boys to "compete" with them.
-
I know Pulis set up to stop is playing but that was awful for the most part, every time we had a bit of space we were so slow in decision making and they got back into shape. Vital win but we need to be better in the two away games coming up.

Just scoured Blue moon this morning and the Claudio Bravo thread is already on page 419, the Kante thread on here by comparison is on page 20, depressing is an understatement.

I did joke that us and City would get points deducted to help Liverpool.
