  1. No coincidence our defense falls apart when Christensen doesn't play (before he came on vs Leicester, after he went off tonight).
  2. To add, he didn't play vs Forest in the cup, so is available for us in that competition as well.
  3. He may not have won anything but he smashed Belgium and Spain and had Low so rattled he changed his whole system for the Italy game. Thats well beyond what you would imagine that Italy squad capable of.
  4. He's proven at 3 different jobs now he can make teams better than the sum of their parts. If he's leaving then he's for all intents and purposes akin to a interim right now so why doesn't he put all his focus in going out in a blaze of glory? Our CL hopes are unlikely but not totally out of the question and there be no better "fuck you" message or boost for the ego/pride than that.
  5. It was similar with Jose in summer 2007, i know he left not long later but every man and his dog were convinced he would leave in summer. If it's been decided he's gone then moaning about transfers is pointless, if going he's basically in a win win situation, due to the narrative the media have set that Romans a trigger happy mess and our players are egotistical cunts that promote player power, he would walk into another top job even if he lost every game from now on.
  6. I am clearly alone in this but im not sure Conte leaving this summer is set in stone, purely because if he was him moaning about transfers makes little sense.
  7. The success was a lot down to them, they were truly unbelievable players.
  8. Difference is Salah and KDB were prospects, Mkhi was in his prime and they are the type of players that usually shine under Mou. Arsenal's attack on paper looks good but presents the same problem the Mazacar did for us, even if i turn out to be wrong about Mkhi he and Ozil are number both 10's and Auba and Lacazette are number 9's, will be a tricky task fitting them all in to full effect.
  9. If it was as straight forward as that then why aren't Lampard and Gerrard considered greater than Iniesta and Xavi? Eden's way can achieve goals at times Neymar's and Bale's shoot on sight policy's won't, like when Eden releases the ball at a position they would have shot most likely off target and few moves later we score. And you are right that more goals equal more chances off winning, but equally losing the ball or having a bad touch (which as @Belgiannutt has showed Neymar' does on average 3 times more a game than Eden) can lead to good attacks breaking down and alas less chances of scoring and ultimately winning.
  10. Kenny's Liverpool done two succesive doubles over us yet didn't get close to us in the table, Palace have won 4 in 8 vs us including back to back at The Bridge. Arsenal may have started getting the better off us in the head to heads (understatement) , but in terms of the overall we are still very much superior to them as is still being reflected in the table. Plus it's hardly upgraded, Mikhi is rubbish and while Auba's very good he's no Alexis.
  11. They have been technically upgrading ever since the summer they signed Ozil and while they have started picking up domestic cups, they have got worse in the league, Arsenal are the least of our worries. And everyone is in that top 4 race this season bar City, including United.
  12. Arsenal? Despite our shady recruitment we would still be in a title race any other season, admittedly an outside chance but were still be there.
  13. Like you did to me? it's like you even can't see your own hypocrisy. No i said i have never once seen him write anything positive, stop twisting my words to suit this pathetic agenda you have against me.
  14. Thats rich coming from you!!!
  15. Nah, you only post about hate for the club. 523 post's and i am yet to see one from you that could even be passed off as positive.
  16. Lets see how that goes, they still have to provide him with a decent partner, get in a quality full back and atleast a PL standard of keeper, and it won't come cheap.
  17. 1. We are not going to Anfield again this season bar a CL draw. 2. Even if we were, we haven't lost there since 2012. As for there defense being a shambles, that has been the case for years so surely if they were as ambitious as you are trying to make out, they would have sorted it by now?
  18. Liverpool the ultra ambitious club that has sold there best player without replacing him, has Mingolet on his 5th season as keeper and Henderson as captain. To put it another way, if we sell Hazard, make Willy number 1 keeper and Drinkwater captain, would you be raving about how well were doing strengthening the squad? I can get pointing to City or United, but Liverpool?
  19. Championship? I thought we have been relegated to the conference while Liverpool, Arsenal and United have all sealed the quadruple.
  20. He won the league with his Leicester but lost out on a Euro 2016 place to Jack Wilshere who barely played all season. He's probably got a bigger chance playing squad player with us than staying at The Foxes, he rightly or wrongly.
  21. But of fine tuning and I think we have a serious player here, I know he's 24 but Jack Wilshere is only know starting to furfil his early promise.
  22. It was not having that policy that led to us adopting it in the first place, by 2010 ALL our key players were over 30.
  23. The Crouch and Barnes "rumours" were quite evident piss takes, i can't believe people actually fell for it.
  24. Ok, so lets factor in inflation, £7-15m then is what 25-35 now? Im pretty sure quality players are attainable in that bracket, players that can improve us, if we go by the last three season's off the top of my head (to keep it recent) Salah, Alderwierld, Son, Ederson, Bailly, Mane, Waynama, Firminho all signed by our rival clubs in that bracket or less, as much as one of them would improve us right now. £200m (money we spent last summer) means we can sign 5-6 players on that price range, get as much as 3 that turn out as good as those names and we are a different proposition.
  25. I agree about Chalobah, which begs the question would he have got picked as often as even Danny has (talking the hypothetical situation where the board says no Drinkwater use Nate instead)? I doubt it and Conte would have likely flogged Kante, Baka and Cesc to death and even played Luiz before picking him. Which is what i mean by we have strengthened in terms of numbers, money for players Conte didn't use has funded for players he has. In the market there is always quality to improve us attainable, infact two of our world class players you mentioned sneaked in on the cheap under the radar. We aren't joining in the new found game of supermarket sweep with Manchester, Barca and Paris, that much is clear but we have enough money to compete if we scout, recruit and coach well, all that means is our staff and coaching team have to earn their wages that little bit more. United of 2006 is an example for the route we need to go down, we were escaping in the distance spending obscene amounts yet what was United's response? Michael Carrick and two defenders in Evra and Vidic who came in under the radar. United fans were livid at the time "no ambition", "Fergie's lost it", "our board are cunts, Chelsea are getting Essien, Shevchenko, Ballack and Ashley Cole while we are hunting in the bargain bin, disgrace" yet as it turned out, those three elavated United up a level and ultimately knocked us off top spot. Ofcourse it helps that they had the greatest manager, but it shows there's players out there that will improve us without costing obscene amounts and we proved that ourselves early this decade too, can i name players? I haven't followed foreign football for ages so no, but our well paid scouts and whoever replaces Emenalo should be identifying suitable players.
