Willian has in the space of a few years gone from being the most underrated player in our squad to the most overrated. At the start people focused too much on what he couldn't go while playing down what he could do, now it's gone well, well too far the other way, it will only get worse if he goes United as the grass is greener shite will kick in to go with it!!!

Not even sure he's even suited to Mourinho, his positional sense is woeful and most of these amazing slide tackles he does are putting out fires he started, Jose may not mind his lack of ball playing ability but he'd certainly have issue's with that. His only regular PL action has been during our worst period in the modern era and with a relegated team who held the worst defensive record, i know that isn't totally his fault but imagine the uproar if we got linked with buying a player of similar profile? He's has good character and was signed as a youth project, both of those things have gone a long way to help save him from criticism, in my opinion.

Because football these days seem to suffer from loses of key players much much more than a loss of even the best managers. We lost Jose the first time at the absolute peak of his powers yet still basically managed ourselves to the CL final and through an intense title race. Barca lost Pep and still won titles at a impressive rate, I can't recall many times a team have lost such a key player to the extent Hazard, Kante etc are to us and didn't feel the loss at least in the short term.

No, the way modern footy goes the star players are more important at ANY CLUB. Imagine if Barca choose Tata over Messi because it was the "right" thing to do? Or we let Jose wield out "the rats"?

We opened up vs United at The Bridge and battered them, we attacked Leti on their own patch and battered them, we attacked Liverpool at Anfield and were the better side. Yes he may not have got the best hand, but he is payed £9m a year to get the best out of what he's got and he didn't come remotely close to achieving it and the fact he as demonstrated with Italy NT and to an extent 16/17 is clearly capable of improving players with good coaching makes it even worse. The problem is, Conte is such a volatile character when he doesn't get his way even if they "make up" have an amazing transfer window we are one rocky road from him throwing anyone but himself under a bus again, he even had an issue with our policy of having a club based coach on the dugout, (there were even rumours he wanted Holland kicked of the coaching team when he arrived), even Mourinho had absolutely no issue embracing that policy. Imagine if we replaced Holland with Joe Edwards? We'd have some form of stability and a man ready to take caretaker charge if the worse comes to the worse and Sarri isn't done by pre season. Conte's spell at Chelsea is broken to the point of no return, we are better of starting the season with any half competant manager in comparison.
