  1. They don't actually lose the Derby at Goodison very often (if I recall correctly just twice in the last ten season's), all be it all the others bar one of the rest were draws.
  2. Klopp is so weird, his team are getting hammered and he's stood there grinning like a Cheshire cat.
  3. Knew I was right to keep faith in Watkins on fantasy football.
  4. If we go to Old Trafford with our usual mental block there after this.....
  5. Villa are the only side in the league who are on less than a goal a game allowed and even that's under serious threat later on Vs Liverpool. It's been that crazy a season so far you could argue our defense has actually been one of the best
  6. United fans were genuinely trying to argue Maguire vs Thiago Silva in the formers favour in pre season.
  7. Holy hell! This is actually flattering United.
  8. On a sperate note how nice is it to enjoy the weekend football after securing 3 points in the early kick off?
  9. They have recovered from that horror first game brilliantly. Smashed Wolves and Leicester and also Arsenal in all but the score. Fair play to Moyes.

  11. He's just stopped a good attack in the area with good positioning.
  12. Oh my bad I misread a PL match full stop for any team.
  13. Is this the first time since Cech and Baros?
  14. Point is about the fan perception. Whether we were right or wrong to not give him that time is irrelevant to the point I'm trying to make. I lose count of the amount of time I hear (paraphrasing) "would be easier to go all in on backing Lampard if we had a blue print from a previous job to suggest it may be worth it". Sarri had that and 90% of the fanbase wanted him out, that's the point.
  15. If there is ever a year that's got perfect conditions for an underdog victory it's this year. Would be pretty mental though, Carlo's league record (for the teams he's managed) have been pretty poor and then the first time he takes a club with seemingly no hope of winning it he goes and does it, would be absolutely mental.
  16. Lampard's predecessor had a track record of building a title challenging side (ok not winning but if he couldn't find a way to get us over the line then at that point we could have replaced him with one that could ala the Ranieri/Mou changeover) and that wasn't enough for the majority of fans to grant him time.
  17. Hopefully the incredibly kneejerk comments of him gazumping James can have a break for a couple of weeks then.
  18. Delighted with this on many levels. Firstly we comfortably contained a very dangerous counter attacking side, one that tore United apart at will a couple of weeks back, really wouldn't underestimate that. Secondly we displayed a ruthless edge we haven't always showed to say the least, Palace really dug in and made it difficult but as soon as they shown an inch we punished them ruthlessly. And it's good to sign off before the break with a win like this, really wouldn't have wanted to stew on dropped points for a fortnight.
  19. Let's not to be too harsh on him, Drogba did this in a title decider.
  20. James doesn't deserve to be dropped and would have preffered the two 8's system but other than that decent lineup.
  21. A better example would be Danny Rose (was a top player but declined after a serious injury just like Rudi) and i reckon we would get him in an instant if we were stupid enough to make a bid. Reason why we don't get many "favours" from rivals is we only ever go for players that are actually top class (Modric, Ash, Martial) or atleast good (Giroud), the only time we messed up was with Rooney and thankfully United were just as ignorant to his decline as we were.
  22. He doesn't have to be the best defensive midfield player in the world and he's personally not my #1 choice as my preference is a regista but if he's been identified by the club as the long term option then we'll going to wait it out like we did the other targets. For example there's rumours about us going in for Partey last minute, that will in my opinion be a mistake as he's use to playing two man midfield for a team that cede possesion against anyone half decent, a similar profile of player in Kante struggling to adapt from that type of football to possesion orientated game in a three man midfield is partly why we entered the market for a DM in the first place.
