So based on one season, attack is not the best form of defence??? Why are Madrid not doing good? because they arent playing as a team. Records are taking priorities over team. Talking about examples, Man United is the best example of attacking football, not just for one season ... they have won record titles by playing attacking football. Seeing off those types of teams by playing defensive was a good 3 years back when we won the CL ... The title before that was under Ancelotti when we played aggressive football. Jose philosophy is to be compact and defensive (most of the time) which he is a master at, he has won titles based on it. He is probably the only exception to the system in modern day football. But that doesnt change the fact that attack will keep the opposition on the back foot. Again that my opinion.

Well ... Million dollar question! Have no response to that one, mate ... I like Oscar, there are very few AMC with such versatility but then Jose could easily had someone like KDB/Mata for rotation. It not only could have provided us with rotation but a different dynamic when we play with teams who will park. As we stand with Oscar not doing well, we will go into the market for a ready player by spending money.
-
hahahahaha ... No disrespect, wasnt laughing at you...
-
Look where's Oscar standing today, I mean that guy is having it from the fans left, right and center and he was the guy suppose to replace Mata as no.10 ... why because he good at defending as well. The bottom line is that we didnt give him much chance at Chelsea ... the guy could had been at Dortmund last summer but he stayed because Jose assured him and then he only ended up on the bench ... Someone mentioned Maybe he didnt fit the system ... But Mata and De Bruyne are type of players who would have worked their sock off to fit into any system ...
-
It is ... But not in Jose's world!!!
-
Too good a keeper to be playing second fiddle to Courtois ... For me he is still among the top 5 in the world ... As much as I want him to be a part of Chelsea team, I feel he should move out as he has a good 3-4 years at the top left. I think he could end up at Real Madrid or PSG, hope he doesn't end up with a PL side.
-
Hmm .. Fair enough .. Point taken!
-
He won it with AC, won it with Chelsea, with PSG, almost with Madrid ... plus 2 CLs ... Maybe he might not click but he brings a lot to his teams... he is like the complete package, there is a kinda of feel good factor abt his teams beside winning titles ... he is some who can take a club like City to the next level. I would be worried if he ends up at City or United for that matter ...
-
Not really ... City could well turn to Ancelotti specially looking at what is happening at Madrid. He might be looking for a club in summer and City a Manager. He has PL exp, proven manager, one of the best in the business, knows how to built a solid team. if he comes to City they could built a very good team for the future.

We were bad, awful! Period! ... But somehow managed the important 3 points ... Made a mess out of nothing. With this kind of performance, we will suffer against the big guns big time ... When others are raising their game, we are being bad ...
-
What the hell, Willian ... Why cant we be direct for once ... too many passing is killing us ...
-
WTBloodyF!!!!!! Frustrating!!!

I get the balance thing in an ideal world. However in all honesty do you really think we would be able to accommodate Ruben if we have the likes of Matic, Pogba, Fabregas, Ramires, Mikel... We arent doing any rotation now how can we expect it once Pogba is in. Plus it is not only about Ruben, we also have a Chalobah in case he's forgotten and so many others that we think are real gems in the academy.
-
Well I agree with you on the Kakuta part. However if we cant say no to every potentially world class player that crops up every now and then, what is the point in investing into youth and hoping through series of loan spell we might get a gem. I would rather focus my attention into getting the ones with potential drafted into the first team and provide them some game time so that we can continue their development into the next level to create our own pool of world class players in due course of time.

Well he is! ... But it doesnt mean he gets it till officially announced ... So if he doesnt play well from here and others do, he could very well miss it ... -

Well... Whatever makes you happy, Sir -
Feel Pogba would end up at either PSG or City ... Wherever he ends up it would be an insane money move.

Sanchez, Hazard and De Gea ... One among the 3 will win it for sure. Sanchez - If Arsenal reaches 2nd then Sanchez would get it De Gea - If United finishes 3rd, De Gea should get it. Hazard - A clear favourite but a few more goals in and no one else gets it -
Balance of the both but performance is what is going make everyone stand and notice. Someone mentioned above about the way we played under Ancelotti and I completely agree with. We arent doing justice to the kind of quality we have at our disposal, teams have started to read us out, there isnt an element of surprise which will make the opposition thinking what's coming next. We are more focussed on getting the title under our belt (get the goal and then defend) than performance. Not saying we dont want titles but now we need to get a style going for us.
-
Wasnt a champions performance at best an average one ... we really need to step up in distribution of passes in the final third, for a team that has so much quality we are too slow (it was a better display today in the second half) ... I feel there is sense complacencies getting into the players mind or maybe it is fatigue or lack of motivation or maybe something mysterious ... it needs to be taken care of because at times it looks like we are going down by our standards.
-
At the end of the day for me, it is the manager who will take the blame ... He is the one who needs to keep the players motivated and keep them ready to play. I know it is a little too much of an asking but Jose is suppose to be the best in the world. Fergie's United were a half baked team but they performed at the optimum levels with their one-dimensional play, it will come down to the managers. Players have started taking places for granted because there isnt much rotation or change in strategy ... Let Cuadrado start more games, that should pinch William to not squander a chance once given same for Oscar, Fab, Cuadrado, Remy, everyone and yes if need be get one of the star from the youth team over them. Let it be known to them that you cant take things for granted. It was Jose's statement in one of the documentary, a manager to be in the top flight has to constantly evolve. Has Jose be doing what he preached? That is the million dollar question.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Finally 2 strikers up front ...
-
Thats it ... Take some f***ing shots on the goal
-
I dont sure if it is his fault or not ... I m blaming freaking everyone (different matter altogether) ... But for me Courtois doesnt come in the 90% of those who didnt but he comes in the 10% of those elite where we expect him to save everything ...
