Bad really bad performance as the match progressed ... Jose is just losing it Honeymoon over for Costa ... Someone needs to tell that he is playing football not Rugby. The only plus for the entire match was that we started pretty positively and not by parking over-selves. Also Begavoic and Matic were absolutely superb.

Not sure what did they not see in him to give him a chance as a third striker instead of pinning hope in a 29yr old brittle player ... Anyways different story. Palace already have 2 strikers in front of Bamford which will be more preferred players than a loanee ... this decrease his chances a lot to get into the starting eleven. Having said that, I hope he get a chance.

Good point however how is he going to prove himself if he doesnt get a chance ... Josh Mceachran was on a good momentum when he was loaned to Swansea, look what happened. His career actually went backwards instead of going ahead. I really hope Bamford gets good chances which he can grab with both hands...

The moment the match started my jaw actually dropped seeing Costa's run (WTF, wasnt he injured or something) ... I was confused/shocked/amazed/etc/etc/etc seeing the start ... This was a very different Chelsea than the one in the pre-season... We really played well in parts ... happy about it. Bad substitution in getting Zuma, not sure what was the plan there. Happy with the point because of the efforts put in. Oscar might .. just might turn out to have THE season that we all want him to, Matic is going to be the integral part, Iva is bad, Begavic is good, Terry is slowing down and somehow (i hope i m wrong) I feel Hazard has hit the ceiling in terms of what he can bring to the table. One thing that I feel is that if any point in time Matic has an injury or a suspension, we will get exposed big time. For me Ake is a versatile player who can play in the LB position plus the fact he is just 20 and if given a chance he will do much better job than Rose ... Not wanting to sound arrogant but I stand by on what i said. I m not comparing them just saying Ake would do a better job. And if u think Rose is a better player and someone who should be part of Chelsea then maybe you must have seen something which I didnt while he playing with Spurs ... For me he just about average and I would be disappointed if he ends up here ...

Fair play ... He did improve last season but he was at zero and he went to like 2 or 2.5 (on a scale of 5) ... Spurs had no one to rotate him with because they got no pace at that position. So yes he did well because nothing was expected out of him ... I mean all he had in his career were those 2 wonder goals against Arsenal (or was it one) then he was no where to be seen. Now in terms of quality between Spurs and Chelsea ... I believe you would agree that we are head and tails above them ... We kept Luis on the bench who is rated highly as a LB (atleast in comparison with Rose), so please explain how does it make sense to replace Luis with Rose ... (Please dont say Home-grown) On the insult part ... I m not sure who is insulted here ... Is it Rose or Ake? I will stand by to what I said ... Ake would do a much better job if he plays at that position. Rose might be a world class player for Spurs (& their fans) who only aspires to be part of top 4 but he is just about average for Chelsea who are expected to win titles year on year. We got a much higher ceiling in terms of quality.

Are we so desperate now? Better to give Ake a shot at that position and I'm sure we will do better than him ...

There is nothing new that we offered. Kinda expected result ... Just about average and very predictable, just having more possession doesn't mean we were in control ... how many break did we get after so much possession? How many efforts on goals? Says it all ... Didn't like the approach towards the game ... I understand still pre-season, less training, too much travel ... But then everyone has same level playing field and this is a competitive game whether we like it or not ...And we didn't play like Champions ... Arsenal is adapting... It is a dangerous sign, as they have the team ... it has been their approach which was their pain area in the past. If they strategize properly and get a player or 2 more ... Feel they will start as favorites.

I don't disagree with u ... It is risk and maybe a huge one ... But then again isn't it better that he be part of the team which is managed by one of best in the world and when he get a chance (which he will) he can rise to occasion ... maybe and just maybe if he performs like he has done elsewhere he could very well be a second striker next season ... I would rather have him here and give him chances 20-25% game time in terms of dead rubbers & subs than send him to place where he is not considered as their own ... Builds confidence on the youth .. and more important the progress should be gradual which I don't think currently is ...

The place he should have got is that of the third striker because he deserves it ... instead we get a striker who probably has past his prime and had a bad season ... What is the sense in that? We talk about youth and then we go back ... Other thing that a lot of us keep stating ... player has to prove to get into the 11 ... What else is there to be proved from Bamford ... I feel he was very lucky that he atleast got a chance to showcase his talent which lot of others haven't ... and yes he taken it with both hands ... Now he is loaned to Crystal Palace, what happens if the loan goes like that of Josh... The momentum is gone and suddenly no ones talking abt it ... Josh is a classic example ... Food for thought: Why is it that RLC is not out on loan while the likes of Ake, Bamford, Chalaboh, Kalas need to undergo loan spell and prove themselves. That my 2 cents on this entire integrating youth thing ... And like you mentioned that u were hopeful, same with me but with every passing season that is just sailing away ...

RLC and Bamford r part of the 25 .... they should get like 10% starts and good number of subs (based on their performance) ... And display a few more youngsters on dead rubbers. If we can atleast do this ... It should be a success for me because we didnt really give any youth a chance baring the last 2-3 games which was also bits and pieces. This will send out strong signals for everyone to perform and give out everything while on loan which can warranty them a chance in the first team if they have the level we want....

So it pretty much done ... Everyone here and around the world had a good debate/argument about Lampard when he joined City that he doesnt deserve the title of a legend and/or he is a traitor, etc, etc. Now with Cech after 11 years moving to our bitter rivals, would he be still be consider as a Legend or a traitor? P.S: For me, both are our modern day Legends.

Bad signing at the highest degree ... And if this signing impacts Remy and/or Bamford then it would just be pathetic to hope that a 29yr old player who has clearly passed his prime will raise back from the ashes specially after a horrible season with United. Hit or miss, in grand scheme of things ... this signing is not taking us forward!
