That is a weird assumption. Hell, some of the managers 'available now', might not even want to join mid season. Wouldn't surprise if Nagelsmann wants to wait. Why give it to him, if they're not convinced? What if he prefers to start a fresh in the summer?

Not sure how he is too nice to do that, when he literally did this with Aubameyang against City. It didn't work, but he did it. So nothing to do with niceness.
