Sometimes both,in a 451 Can we really play Mikel and Essien together? - No,way too negative. Wilkins said again the other day that Torres and co. were all Carlo signings. So maybe if carlo thinks that £50m for a crocked striker is good value then a crocked Kaka for around £30m will be a bargain.

Can anyone honestly say they've felt confident going into big games this season? Please don't answer with Drogba had malaria. And even going into smaller games ie Everton in the FA cup,it was 50/50 whether we would win or not despite our squad being worth 10 times more than theirs. I can't see Carlo genuinely wanting to stay. If we're not looking to clever by late October then the pressure really will be on him. If Roman gives him another chance he won't put up with another disaster like this season. Carlo will be happy to take the £5m owed to him and happily join Roma,he talks way too much about his own future all the time for him to be serious about staying long term.

A new manager could get Lamps,Torres and Drogs in the same team playing and functioning for the full 90 minutes every game. I'd rather keep Lamps and Drogs and let a new manager do that.

Spot on. Carlo is experienced 'as in' he has many years in management but look at the mistakes he makes. We've finished on a worse points total than when Ranieri got the sack but we've spent £100+ since last summer. We definately can't hire someone on the back of CL success. The league is the big one we should aim for every year and if we're good enough and a bit of luck the CL will shortly follow. Just because Boas for e.g is only 33 and has only managed in the Portuguese league doesn't mean much seeing as Mourinho did exactly the same.
