I think I can shorten all that Kostas post into a small statement. Through my thorough investigations and years of studying I've come to the conclusion that; Players are earning way too much and it's getting clubs into serious debt.
-
So that's it then. Any Man U fan that has ever doubted Fergie in the past must be a glory hunter. A glory hunter is a supporter that changes teams to whoever is winning at the time, not somebody that doesn't rate a manager.
-
Resting players is not the Ancelotti way. Some could do with it though.
-
You're not allowed to say that on here. We're not allowed to be lucky or fortunate,or should I say Carlo isn't. I think carlo will be in a job as long as we're in the CL.
-
Yes. Didn't rate him very highly when he won us the double and still don't rate him now. Believe me I haven't got a glory hunter mentality. Surely banging on about the double all the time is being a glory hunter.I look more at the long term rather than last season. We're not in a transition period. I don't see many youngsters playing every week in our team. Infact I don't see any and haven't all season.
-
So can we say that Scolari was unlucky to be sacked or Carlo is very lucky to not be sacked?
-
Let's stop living in the past now. Some people on here sound like Liverpool fans, going on about history. How we were shit back in the day has nothing to do with Carlo being manager or not. The Double was last season, time to let go and judge on this season,or judge the double as a season that could have easily been a season where Carlo won nothing. Not rating a manger is not fickle or ungrateful & a team/player/manager are only as good as their last result. We're in 2011, not the double of 2010 or the 80's where we didn't have 2 pennies to rub together.
-
If we win the league this season will that be luck? Can we look back and still say we were fairly awful?
-
Probably best for his development he didn't come to us.
-
Especially at our club. I'd love our next manager to be all about pass and move, maybe get rid of Drogs so we're not lumping it up to a big target man anymore. I want quick ,clever, technical players.
-
Still don't rate him much. He's took on a few decent players on loan at Leicester. Despite spending alot at City they still did poor and got hammered 8-0 I think by Middlesboro'. Maybe the championship is his level, not England. His main problem was the same as Carlo's. Always picked Becks even if he weren't fully fit or in awful form. Then there was Heskey.
-
I think the good thing is Spurs are big time bottlers, just like Man city. Look at them both, supposedly challenging for the title and having great seasons, yet they're no better off than us having a crisis season. They'll drop points galore, especially with CL to concentrate on.
-
Just big parties in Ireland,China and all down south. I can cope with that. Oh and the media love in for Fergie as usual. And how Giggs has won x amount of titles. We could still do it though.I can never say never, even with Carlo in charge.
-
Swap the word squad for managerial and i'd agree with you. Me too. We'd never hear the last about how they've won the league in 'the right way'. And playing 'beautiful football'. Man u winning is just another title to them (keep the plastics and glory hunters happy) ,and atleast it psisses the scousers off.
-
In the summer, first off, (IMO) pay off Ancelotti. Then sit down with the players with 1 & 2 years left on their contracts and figure out whether we're keeping & extending contracts or selling them. Personally i'd definately flog Ferreira, not too sure about the rest.
-
No way,i'd rather man u won it. I'm waitng for our 'bad moment' in the CL now. Probably be after the Copenhagen games. Then we'll re-evaluate again,I don't even wanna think about finishing outside the top 4.
-
Make that 2 places above the dippers in the latest table. 1. Real Madrid: 438.6m euros 2. Barcelona: 398.1m euros 3. Man Utd: 349.8m euros 4. Bayern Munich: 323m euros 5. Arsenal: 274.1m euros 6. Chelsea: 255.9m euros 7. AC Milan: 235.8.m euros 8. Liverpool: 225.3m euros 9. Inter Milan 224.8m euros 10. Juventus: 205m euros
-
2 different kind of players,so i can't compare.
-
I wouldn't say no if you're offering. Any chance you could throw in an FA cup and top 4 finish too please? Torres lifting the European cup would seriously get to the dippers. Otherwise it will be a case of ' torres went to Chelsea and won nothing' 'Should have stayed with us' blah blah etc etc.
-
Well put dude.:goodpost:
-
Thanks. Atleast it's not just us he's blown it with then. We could do it but highly unlikely, when was the last time you could rule us out of the title race in January?
-
Should never have got rid of Scolari. He was a world cup winner after all. Didn't matter that he was shit with us,he won the world cup,you can't get better than that. We should have given him 5 years to build his own team.
-
I've got a horrible stat for you. Since beating the Arse on the 3rd of October,a whole 4 months ago. We've only managed these wins: Moscow (twice) , Blackburn (twice), Bolton (twice), Ipswich, Sunderland, Wolves, Fulham, Zilina. I think Sunday was our last chance really, but you never know. If we do by some miracle win it this season can I say it was lucky and Carlo is a very lucky manager.
-
I'd bring Grant back. He nearly won us the Champions league, league and mickey mouse cup. He didn't tell Terry to hit the post or the players to play rubbish in the mickey mouse cup final.
-
Let 'em have the bigger club title. I'm hoping Chelsea fans aren't petty enough to get into an argument regarding the shit they spout anyway,no history etc. It's boring, let them think they're above every other club and their fans are the best. For some reason we're above them in the Deloitte league and you can't be a small club if you're top 6 in the money league. The past 20 years we have the most trophies too. I'll say no more.
