It's not completely on topic but I think that the main thing that we lack compared to Manure (by example, or Barcelona with Seydou Keita) is utility players such as John O'Shea or Wes Brown... I though Mancienne could be our, some may say that he is awful at HSV but it's hardly the same environnement that the one he would have find at Chelsea. KieranVogel is right, considering that the best teams in Europe challenge for the same trophy ; from the point they are endowed with a good momentum, confidence, tactical and technical superiority... they all have to be decided. And very often it's the luck or the extra uncontrollable thing that makes the difference. We sometimes see moments in games where we feel like if time has stopped and that there is a special rythm of the match... Players evoke it sometimes. And to be honest if it could be controlled, it would be well known or sold expensive !

No, put a fucking space before a ! or ?

I'm delighted, thank you very much to all. And congrats to the other nominees who could also have won the award ! It's time for me to ask you a question, do I make a lot of grammar mistakes ?

@chelseayouth Lichnovsky is a central defender, 185cm or thereabouts, apparent standout in the SAM U-17 Championships earlier this year. To summarise, he says the club are following him, they like his potential but concerned about SAM to ENG transfers, cite Di Santo/adaptation http://www.rs.goal.c...igor-lichnovsky

Considering Cahill best moment in the season was the first half, and Dawson's were the last months (the win at Anfield etc...)... Dawson best performances were fare better than Cahill's ones. Scott Dann, it's like Roger Johnson ; they both said (I think just Johnson did, but Dann thinks the same !) that they waited some big clubs to approach them seriously before deciding to sign at Wolves and Blackburn. Neither Chelsea, nor Arsenal nor Liverpool was really keen on them and they waited without giving definitive answers. Dann will be one of the best performers at Blackburn with Formica, Rochina, Robinson, Hoilett and Olsson so no doubt that with the relegation ; a big club will look closer at them. For Chelsea, Dann and Hoilett would be great prospects. Dann reminds me Ivanovic in the air, he is really impressive !

I don't want to take that as a pretext to shoot at Bosingwa for fun, I used to defend the player for almost 2 seasons but I must admit I'm not really a big fan of Bosingwa's apparent personality, I feel a lack of commitment from him, some bad arrogance (You just have to compare his body language of 2008/2009 and how he used to behave after). Yes, Bosingwa is not Ivanovic in the air, but in my opinion he does not even makes the effort in these set-pieces or in his marking... We feel like if he does not gives a fuck about his elastic, neglected, sloppy, careless marking. Defensively speaking, some player's careless markings the only thing that really wrinkles me, be between the attacker and the GK is not that complicated. Coach BlueLion can confirm it's a basic thing learned to kids. Some teams in Premier League base their play in a direct philosophia and on their set-pieces (considering the average height of the players). No need to name them, they are Blackburn (even if with them they rather used to be), Stoke City, Bolton... It's not Chelsea's main asset, no need to think if there is a better style than another, every team plays with it's skills (except Blackburn ) so works mainly on thoses parts of the game to be better. I don't know if that the lack of movement is a consequence of the lack of decent FK or CK taker = the players knows they won't have the ball and that Lampard... or Malouda... or Drogba... ... or ANELKA !!! will - as you said - completely miss the penalty spot zone Or if it's because the taker sees no movement, so he decides to cross kick in the ball with no precise target. But I must admit it would be a little bit problematic ! Anyway we have Mata now, he is able to put great deliveries on set pieces on so it's a good point for the future

I do agree ; conceide a goal like that does not worries me, I will gratify you a typical french idiom: we can't have butter, butter money, and the dairywoman... Considering we play with a high team bloc, press high and try to project ourselves forward quickly when we have the ball ; concede one goal when we score 4 or 5 is an almost inevitable consequence. Of course, what I just said is applicable in domestics competitions and of course not in Europe where a more pragmatic approach is required. What worries me the most is our absence of threat on offensive set pieces, it's paradoxical to say that after Sturridge's first goal but the team has no movement and no inspiration and it's the reason why we never score on theses phases (only Ivanovic is clever in these situations). Being dangerous on set pieces can bring an extra 15 pts in a season and it's the same with realism in front of goal. Those two points which were our offensive weaknesses last season are on the road to be corrected so it's very encouraging for the future

The main reason for the amount of goals conceided is that the midfield is over-exposed (it's the danger when you play in a 4-4-2) and that Knight, Steinsson and Robinson are shite this season. But the fact remains what you said, Cahill is part of that worst defense and the less we can say is that he is not well commited to his task ! He is a little bit stupid, he had to confirm this season he could have the envergure to play in a top 6 club and in the same time prove people and Capello that he can be part of the squad for the Euro... He started badly the season, we can't rely that on the team's form, we can expect for a player with such ambitions to be better than that and show some good influence on his partners. But anyway he will be part of the England squad for the EC and it surely won't be the case of Dawson, Dann or Johnson... and even if his season performance will be average...

I do agree, I wasn't a big fan of Apple products, not an addict... But I'm only impressed by the person Steve Jobs who did battle until the last moment, and who inevitably left his mark on his century

I did think exactly the same

The whole sequence is epic Bonus:

Kasami was not designated, that's all... Imagine if Malouda take the ball to Lampard and miss the penalty, you would all be furious against him ! Anyway it's not the only one disciplinary fine already existing, when a player gives his shirt in the crowd he is fined but who really gives a fuck regarding the much they earn ? The bill is virtually the same as Kasami's and nobody makes a big deal about it
-
It is probably worth 3 minutes of wages. But it's far from what does Felix Magath at Wolfsburg, we already know that bottles of waters, snoods and other gloves (even long sleeves if I remember well) are forbidden even during the winter ; he fines his players 1.000€ for an unjustified pass backward to the goalkeeper. I think Jol was in his right, if Orlando Sa is the designated penalty taker of the team it's completely logical that he is furious if another player whines to kick it... Especially in Cups ( -"even in Premier League, look at Malouda !!") when some players can be interested more by their own stat sheet than the team performance Di Canio scored it after his argument with Lampard, him ! Anyway it's a media pretext to try to make up a "crisis" or a massive disagreement between Jol and his players, it's just in order to amplify their poor start due to the Europa League who did concern the players more than an away game at Molineux. Some of the squad choices of Jol are strange, especially in the domain of the player's roles when he played Andy Johnson alone upfront or Duff on the left... but in any case Jol's decisions are not as strange than Hughes'

May you want a personal extra tax only for your criticism of my brilliant expensive politic ? I'm hiding myself behind a french profile to show you all Londoners that Parisiens are eventually lucky not to have the OG and the depending local taxes

You look like Di Matteo (after a special kebab/fish and chips/beer/pies regime) and I look like Villas Boas so it's perfect. You are BBC (bibs, balls and cones) and I'm in charge of the tactics and the squad selecion. You press me some oranges during the games in order that when I go to the dressing room at Half Time, my orange juice is fully ready and fresh Are you OK ? So here we go ! You killed me about Gerrard

I don't deny that Petrov can produce good performances sometimes, he can deliver good crosses... But he has a status of former City player and he wastes 4 opportunities out of 5 in the play, he is slow and makes poor choices although he can produce performances like against MU or Blackpool last season... Gardner is reconverted, you're right he was a left winger but last season he was injured and when he came back there were no midfielders available so he ended the season in the midfield. I honestly think that the 3 teams who will go down will be Norwich because they are in constent wasting, they dominate but they loose, they miss 16541785 open goals to score a lonely one, Martin, Holt and Morrisson are not PL Level, they were already huge wasters in the Championship and they still needs 4 occasions to score a goal whereas the PL requieres 0.5 opportunity to score a goal... I see Swansea with Norwich because they are even as ridiculous in counter attack than Blackpool. And the 3rd one will be a "surprise" like Blackburn or Bolton To be honest they have a more than £100m debt bill, Coyle refused to sell Elmander last winter for sporting reasons (it's impressive from him !) and they will be more likely to offload players with a little value they have this winter rather than reforce them against the relegation. I maintain that Holden was the key, without him they are a sad team without inspiration... the paper does not makes all, on the pitch the players are bad. About Cahill, if we look closer: he is strong and decent in the air... but is it not the minimal requirement to play in England without which you are dead ? He has a good striker technique in his runs and timings on set pieces, volleys and shooting etc... but he does not impress me as a defender. My opinion is that Dann or Johnson deserve more credit
-
They need one more MF now they have lost Holden one more time. Gardner is and was used in a more central role, he is more than 32 (I don’t remember precisely) and he lacks speed and sharpness to play on the wing but keeps a good volume of play ; their own Malouda would say some people, and it would make some people happy because he is present in the club since the 98 World Cup so almost 14 seasons (So will Malouda... :eyebrows: ) Otherwise I can’t stand Petrov, he is really a poor player and having seen this Bolton team maybe 20 times for the last season and this one, he is really a selfish cunt, a slow player who always make poor choices, ignores his team mates except if he wants to moan on them… Coyle maintains his confiance, but he should not do so so Petrov is useless… I have many example for you but I will give the two mains I have in mind: Sunderland 1-0 Bolton, Welbeck early goal (around 30mn), Petrov was awful and did shoot from every position, whereas Bolton was running after the score Coyle took him off. Second example, the FA Cup Semi-Final, he is one of the worst players against stoke, he is caught every time in position and one of his loss of possession leads to a Stoke goal (Jones’). Coyle take him off at HT and this twat dress himself in the club smoking and looks the second period from the players tunnel entrance. I’m sure some people here will say Cool, you can change “Petrov” by “Malouda”. Although I hate Petrov and I like Malouda, if you want to see what is a selfish cunt, look at the RBK not at the Bridge. About Wheater, like I said to you I saw many games of Bolton last season. And one of the main reasons why I firmly don’t want Cahill in any case at Chelsea (I did explain it in his transfer thread if you want) is that Wheater gave me a better impression than Cahill after the winter ; Cahill who is overrated, unfocused, first player to moan on his team mates and I don’t honestly see any top level ability, he is average in almost all the domains and has some frequent concentration swings… And to be honest I don’t understand why Coyle keeps Knight who is caught in the air by Aguero (even Ferreira could win an aerial challenge against him), whereas he has Wheater who is a solid defender, 100% committed and who has no problem to put any part of his body in opposition, does not play above his real level and is not widely over-rated. Not many people speaks about him but Wheater for less than £3m is one of the recruits of the season… The best example of that is that he was excellent at Birmingham when Bolton won after the winter, Wheater was imperial in the air. So to be frank with you I really don't share the hype about Cahill who is an average defender like many others, a future Lescott in power... Oh it's amazing they have the same shit and selfish mentality ! Klasnic is suspended after the shameful comedy of the Norwich bald drama queen, he was sent off so he was given a 3 match ban. His presence would have make me wonder about the necessity to play Mikel because this season Klasnic leaves his position upfront and is present in the game, he has developped a great vision and becames a great passer. I was impressed by Coyle’s work last season, the way they played and by their own maestro Stuart Holden… This season they have a good team on the paper but on the field, yes they played the biggest teams so far and they lack success in what they try but some of the individuals are away, I think about Kevin Davies of course… He is a cunt, but don’t worry, I did saw also the threat he was in the air, he has a foot instead of the wide forehead he already has His accuracy and timing in the air, his ability to obtain fouls when he jumps just a bit late (in order that the defender would fall on him…)… were impressive in the past. But since the start of the season the simple fact that he goes on the wings to try to win aerial challenges really is an admission of powerlessness, he is born in 1977 so he will be 35 next year… ! I wrote that this summer about Bolton, I did not wrote the 2/2 (individual sheet). Sorry it’s in French http://mypremierleag...n-wanderers-12/

I can hardly agree with you about Bolton, this team is very poor when we look back to last season the comparison is terrible… Even if I completely agree with you about Coyle who is a fantastic manager who manages to obtain the best of his players (Weiss, Holden, Elmander, Wilshere, Sturridge, Rodrigo Moreno and even Robinson and Knight), the team he has this season is awfully poor… Knight is far from the level he showed last season, his team mate Cahill is of course not the first player to try to bring the team upfront (it’s easier to moan !). Robinson and Steinsson were more than decent last season, defensively and offensively and this season they are often late and they concede sloppy fouls. No need to explain Kevin Davies’s case, he is over and it’s not the performances he makes since the start of the season which would make me change my mind ; his game today does not derogate from what he does… Unable to win an aerial challenge, he offsets his axial position and tries to win challenges on the wings against the full-backs, without success… The main issue is since Holden is out, the midfield lacks substance… They play in 4-4-2 and Holden was the perfect player for this shape because of his high volume of play and his ability to defend (mainly tackles) and go forward. Since Cunt Evans injured him, Coyle tried Ricardo Gardner, Elmander etc… at his place but nobody is able to replace the American. Reo-Coker is rather decent since the start of the season but he cannot hold the team on his own shoulders and we all know that if he is a good tackler, he is very poor when he goes forward… Though he still does so, which leads to an imbalance. And when his partner is Mark Davies (though I’m impressed by some actions of him, he plays on AC and disappears during longs periods, defends badly…) then Bolton’s midfield is a sieve. The Pratley/Reo-Coker is decent but lacks of creativity, the touch of magic that did bring Holden… Usually Bogdan is very interesting on his line (I saw him a couple of times last season) but struggles in the air, today, like every young goalkeeper he had difficulties to forgot a mistake and playing again… I don’t think that Coyle is threatened by a possible sack, the injury record they have for the last 6 months is incredible. But it does not prevent from the fact that we played an awfully poor team of Bolton Otherwise, if Mata’s vision was noticeable on some actions, his lack of energy was obvious during the game with mis-placed passes and missed controls. He should not have played this game and I’m happy to see I was wrong because I did think that a Bolton twat could have broken him down. I think it’s the same with Ramires, the first signs of tiredness are underlined. To be honest I did wonder when it would come eventually, he is playing at such an intense level since last November ! About Bosingwa, the question is wide… On the one hand he is an offensive right back, and our best player in this domain. But on the other hand he is stereotyped when he goes forward, one of AVB’s decisions was to say to the full backs not staying upfront but rather going forward from deeper… when Bosingwa runs upfront he looks at his boots before stopping him in the last tier, it’s not really the best way to create any kind of dangerous situation because he will play backwards or to a player leaving his position. He is still very poor defensively, not only he did not play against a really tough skilly winger (Mikel or Ramires could intercept a cutting inside from a winger) but he is also very poor in his marking. I don’t think only about his set-pieces defending, yes he is more mobile than Steinsson (the way he marked Kyrgiakos at Anfield was so funny ) but he does not even understand to place him between the goal and the striker… If we put Ivanovic there, yes he is less offensive than José, but the fact is that he has improving… When we remember the timid RB who did not cross the line and the Ivanovic who did not hesitate to play relays and cross just before the goal line… The main issue is that the more we play Ivanovic at RB, the more he mixes his marks between what requires a RB spot and a CB spot… And when we look at Alex’s form, the presence of a CB who does not leave his position to play a challenge in the adverse half is more than needed for the Champions League games by example. So keeping Bosingwa there is the less worse option, I was the first to defend him last season because he lacked support but I have to say that even with Ramires’ presence (which helps him a lot, no problem with that) he keeps making poor choices. But because we haven’t anybody else to put there, he has to stay the RB… About the DMC, Villas Boas made the best choice today because Bolton is not a team which features now a player who likes to play between the lines like were Sturridge last season for them, Rooney of course for MU etc… Playing Meireles is a good thing, of course he is not a completely defensive minded player like you said but he is a good hub and can maintain the tempo of play by his one touch passing. The only thing I don’t want anymore is playing a team featuring a 9½ with Meireles in front of the defense

Now it's official, after the Liverpool, Manure and Norwich awful individual performances... and today ! Kevin "cunt" Davies is over !
-
Sturridge is currently playing the same role than last year with Bolton, central support striker with the mission to make the link between midfield & attack
-
Petrov is so crap
-
Great complicity between Bosingwa and Ivanovic, they should hide it a bit, it's too visible !
