There's a middle zone between hating on Mourinho and worshipping him blindly. We all know we need improvements, but none of us is sure about the source of our lack of investement in the transfer market. Now what surprises me, is people saying that he's been "found out", aren't you the same guys who were asking for actual offensive football before the game ? Affraid of parking the bus ? Isn't that what we did in the second half ? Offensive football ? Didn't we concede two goals ? We tried to sign Koke, so I guess we're going in that direction, at least we know that José and the board realize that we need to strenghten our defence and midfield. Expecting 2 or 3 signings before the end of the window, especially if we lose next week ( not that I want it to happen at all ).

I think you didn't get my point. The key to the title is hiding our weaknesses for me, which are the things I listed, no way I'd understimate his influence, just like Hazard, Matic or Costa's importance to us. If Costa manages to stay fit, and we sort our Full back and midfield issues, the title is ours again, no doubts.

Rewatching the game, huge lack of balance in Arsenal's goal. Willian and Ramires pressing, Arsenal recover well and have a chance on the counter, Matic moves to the right to fill the void, this leaves Walcott alone in the middle, when he gets the ball, Terry has to close him, and that leaves Azpi on 1 on 1 with a good dribbler. A bit of luck as Arsenal did the best possible action, especially Cazorla and Ozil, but this is how weak our midfield can be at times, lack of coordination between Rami, Fabregas and Matic, Willian and Rami both pressing made us loose balance especially that the spaniard was high up the pitch. Fabregas has never been good def ensively on a tactical/positioning level, and the screens on the spoilers show perfectly how we need a third CM with high tactical IQ and moreover better coordination on the midfield, Matic can't be everywhere all the time and Azpi isn't going to win 100% of his 1 on 1 duels, no matter how good he can be. Oh and Ramires recovering slowly after that...

I know about the expecience and Youtube effect, but this guy isn't really far from a starting spot with us if he ups his game a bit more ( and putting Azpi on the right ), he really is complete as a full-back.

Not sucking on him, just pointing the obvious, that our defence might just lack balance with the level of Iva-Cahill lately and with Azpi on his left foot. He is really pacey and strong on duels, no reason he won't be good offensively on the right, and I'm pretty sure he would be even better defensively on his strong foot.

Jokes put aside, I think they can have a real go at it, players like Cech definitely improve them ( and we saw that yesterday ). But then again, there is a huge difference between "having a real go at the title" and actually winning it, even with the great team we had last year, we had to play conservatively in order to maintain our advantage, not to mention we had to earn a lot of hard-fought victories ( Stoke Home, Villa away, Hull Away, QPR Away ). Won't step too early and say the gunners can't wind those kind of games, guess we're gonna have to wait & see, we have City away on the 2nd game and the gooners are way too confident atm, won't be surprised to see them top by October/November. And on another subject, the best manager I'd wish to have in an eventual crisis time ( if that happens this season ) is Jose, so I'm waiting to see, but I'm not as pessimistic as some guys here.
