He's similar to Matic. Good on the ball, can get stuck in, aggressive without the ball. Of course not as strong, as good in the air etc. But he's got a similar skill set. Which is a big deal because we have no replacement for Matic.

Considering he only really got involved in the first 30-35 mins, that's an excellent stat. He lacks strength and end product right now, but his general passing, vision, creativity and dribbling is good. He needs to bulk up a bit and needs to actually carry a goal threat because he def gets himself in very dangerous positions with his dribbling ability. He's def got potential no doubt but I'm hesitant as to if he'll ever reach it. Let's hope he does. However, if he continues to not even make the bench for PL games maybe it'd be best for him to get a PL loan in January. We shouldn't sell him though, he's def got great potential.

God this post hurts. Not because it's bad, it's because it's the truth. Lampard fucked up. And I don't buy that it doesn't bother some people. It must bother every Chelsea fan, some have just been been successful in suppressing their true feelings. I didn't think it would bother me in the beginning cause I didn't think he'd even suit up but it def hurts now. He means what Isco could do without the ball. Our #10 needs to somewhat good at pressing and defending. If you just need a creative #10 then why bother with Isco, just push Cesc there and buy a midfielder instead. To have Isco in front of Cesc is useless imo, they have similar skillset. You would want a complementary player. Possible options: Get Pogba - move Cesc foward Get Koke - move Cesc forward Get Reus - straight swap with Oscar or deploy on LW and move Hazard in the middle

If he didn't loose the ball so much he could possibly be a mid. But he can't be so wasteful and be a midfielder. That would do more harm than good. He's very direct. Either he'll go through you or loose the ball. Hence why I call him an all out attacker because he's very good at attacking (with his dribbling and running) and not much else.

I know Oscar hasn't lit the world on fire since he moved here except just showed flashes here and there but I feel we need to be more patient with him because his potential is so high. Just seems to struggle so much with consistency.

He's definitely better defensively imo.

Barkley seems very wasteful in possession though. Tries too many dribbles that don't come off. And tries a few too many ambitious passes that don't come off. 50M is too much. I want almost a finished article for that much and he's not close yet. He's also very inconsistent. Oscar can help control a game and help regain control while Barkley is an all out attacker only.

Think he had every right to be a bit nervous. Not many wouldn't be. Teenager, first professional match, with a new team, away at anfield no less. Very harsh to write him off. Maybe he won't become world class, too early to say anything though but not sure how you can write him off after that match.

Maybe I haven't noticed before, but did people always get warnings for insulting players? I can understand that you shouldn't be insulting other members but players? I'm sure every insult under the sun has been hurled towards Torres, Mikel, Luiz, etc. and I'm sure even worse has been aimed at Gerrard, Rooney and the likes.

No he didn't. He was playing ahead of Azpi on the left side. He may ran in the mid on counters to cover but he played ahead of Azpi on the left.

A lot of runners in that team, looks to be a good counter-attacking team. Doubt there is enough creativity there to break down Bolton if they plan on just sitting back. However, it's a cup game, sooner or later we'll get to counter.

What do you mean by cope? Two of those guys you listed just joined us this season, I don't know how we coped last few years without them then. Matic just joined us this year so I don't know how we coped without him in the first half of last season and all the way to CL semis. I'm not saying you can't make an argument for any of those players, but to definitively state that Hazard is our fifth most important player doesn't make sense to me.
