BOGA!!!! Would love to see Boga and Hazard together in the future. I'm expecting 100% possession and 40 dribbles completed each game between them.
-
I'm just speculating. But I think Hodgson did this on purpose because I can see Rodgers in the background wanting this and instructing Sterling to rest. Hodgson probably realized this and said the things he said because he probably didn't feel Sterling's excuse was genuine. Hodgson is no genius but he wouldn't be so stupid to hang Sterling out to dry for no reason. Or maybe I'm wrong and he really is that stupid.

If you can say you see improvements in the football and results now compared to the first 6 months of Wilmots, then it's fine. But if the team hasn't really improved and is just playing at the same level since he took charge, then there may need to be some changes. You've listed out his results during his time with Belgium. Which is fine, but people are discussing the future not the past. He's done a great job, no one is denying that, but is he also the best manager for the future?
-
Right. How does that equate to vision though? You could have the greatest passing technique in the world but if you can't spot a pass, you won't get into a championship team.
-
Your definition of vision makes no sense to me. You literally mean the passing options available to him in his field of vision? I define vision as the ability of being able to see a play develop before it actually develops. And of course, executing the pass required to develop that play.

Meh I don't see the big deal with Origi. I didn't watch the last few Belgium matches so I don't know if he's improved but he was just OK at the world cup. He is better at some things than Lukaku so his skillset was welcomed to the team because Lukaku won't fit in a team that plays at such a low tempo. But I don't see Origi ever becoming better a better striker than Benteke or Lukaku.
-
Yet, their best player actually plays and is played like he's just a squad player.
-
Should try to partner him with another striker. He never had the skillset to be a lone striker for a top top team and he never will with that first touch. Him and Benteke up top should be tried and tried until it starts working, because it will work and when it works, it'll be devastating. Benteke holds the ball up, waits for Eden or KDB while Lukaku just makes runs all over the place into space. Just tell Lukaku to always run away from the ball and Benteke to always go towards the ball and let the genius behind the strikers decide where the ball should go - short (bentekkers) to advance play or long (predator) into space. I'm no fan of Lukaku, but no denying dude is a beast and if used the right way he'd be a handful for the best of the best CBs. The sole aim should be to get him facing a defender 1 on 1. He will destroy that CB, no matter who it is most of the time.
-
Yeah it looked pretty good. However, hard to judge until we see it against a good opponent.
-
brilliant movement and overall play, just hasn't been able to put the ball in the back of the net, should have at least had one (missed a sitter) he'll score one soon though, continues to try and try, hasn't let the drought affect him mentally
-
I will never turn my back to Cesc. You're a disgrace!
-
Yeah, but it'll have to be the right price for them, not us. They'd want like 50M or even more.
-
I doubt Liverpool would sell him at all. He's a great player though. Not sure why people are calling him average. He actually has an end product as opposed to 90% of recent English wingers.
-
With all the talent Spain has, there really isn't an excuse for Del Bosque, is there? He must be sacked. Does anyone who follows the Spain national team, tell me why he hasn't been sacked?
-
Hazard is a beast. However, considering the competition, his only chance at ballon d'or is going to be if Chelsea wins a treble. Otherwise, he's never going to outscore the current top players. Similar to how someone mentioned about Ribery. Dude had to win a treble and still came 3rd. As long as Hazard, doesn't start obsessing over it, he'll still have a great career even if he doesn't win the ballon d'or. And as a Chelsea fan, sure I'd love if he wins it, but that's secondary to Chelsea's team success.
-
Well yeah that's a given, he must win one or both and score goals to stand a chance at the ballon d'or.
-
To be honest. Hazard had a decent game against Arsenal, not amazing. But the reaction by the fans and the media proved how much goals matter. It probably wasn't even a top 3 Hazard performance this season but got the most plaudits because he had one moment of magic but this time instead of a key pass or assist, it resulted in a goal. If he wants to win the ballon d'or, he must start scoring more. Not Messi Ronaldo level, but def more than last year.
-
Arsenal got in a couple times on the right side. Other than that, we've looked very solid. Cesc has been amazing defensively.
-
What an amazing save there by De Gea. And another one! He's saved them the points here. Amazing.
-
Come on Chelsea! Let's go boys! No complacency, get the job done!
-
I think he has more potential than all of them though. At the end of the day, none of those currently are good enough to start for Chelsea. So if you had to stick with one, I'd pick Salah for the potential, even if other mediocre players are better right now.
-
First, if he's guaranteed to be reliable player for a long time then you can possibly justify the fee. But how are you going to justify giving an 18 year old more wages than Cahill, Azpi, Ramires, etc?
-
If Schurrle isn't finishing his chances, I don't see why he shouldn't be dropped. He's not that good with the ball, mediocre passer, almost no creativity/vision. He has also been pretty woeful defending without the ball. His biggest asset is his off the ball movement and his goal threat. And if he isn't scoring, he's pretty useless. Salah on the other hand is the opposite right now. Great technique on the ball, good dribbler, good vision, although inconsistent passing and poor final ball/shot. Salah has a long way to go to reach his potential, and he might never reach it. But imo he has better potential than Schurrle.

I am pretty confident Jose is trying to make sure Costa doesn't get called up for the next international break. And even if he does, he has an excuse to hold him back.

Anyone have an HD english stream? I could only find low quality streams.
