Our biggest problem is the tempo. You can't expect anyone, let alone Torres to score against an organized 8 man Premier League defence. Just won't happen. I don't care who they bring in, unless the players and the new manager manage to up the tempo and start playing actual football only then will you see Torres thrive and Chelsea thrive. I truly believed AVB was that man, but alas. Just hope the next appointment will be bold and make drastic changes.

I usually never play Bruise tactics, I gave it shot this time and got 2 injuries I wish we could loan, buy and sell players to teams within the league. That would make it a lot more interesting. It'll make it easier for all teams to buy and sell players.

^ Nothing wrong with what you said, but the problem stems from the fact that we don't have any managerial stability. If I'm a manager and literally buying myself another week on the job based on the result I can manage this week, well then not much chance I'd want to risk it on developing an unproven player when more than likely I won't be here to sow the benefits in the future.

I am judging Doumbia assuming he'll be converted to a winger like Sturridge, cause if you really think Doumbia is good enough to be a striker for Chelsea, we are destined for mediocrity. Sturridge is selfish on the wing, at striker he can be as selfish as he wants and I have no doubt in my mind he would be a better striker than Doumbia. Not saying we shouldn't look for a world class striker but as far as Doumbia goes, not that special imo. Then, assuming we do put him on the wing, like we did with Kalou & now Sturridge, then yes, I rather have Affellay. I think he's been incredibly unlucky at Barca and I think the dude is QUALITY.

^ Doumbia is nothing special. 23M I rather go for Jovetic or Affelay. Add a little more and get Munian. No way Doumbia is Chelsea starting Striker quality. I rather play Sturridge over Doumbia at striker.
