There's this odd situation which has been around since forever but I find completely unintuitive: Cardiff and the other Welsh teams in our League do not answer to the English FA, ie the organisation that runs or allows competitions to run that those Welsh clubs take part in. That's just fundamentally flawed. This came to light when a Cardiff player committed a nasty tackle, straight red, and had it rescinded. If he didn't, he wouldn't have been able to play in the FA Cup Final. The Welsh FA rescinded it, not the English FA. Oh, and it shouldn't have been rescinded. If we can't get Mikel against United rescinded, well then this shouldn't have been either as it drew blood half way up the calf.
