  1. Again, no quote to back up the claim.

  3. The article even admits itself that the transfer was not under the control of Robinho. 1) People who think Robinho got it wrong 2) People who think Robinho went for the money 3) People who think Robinho had any choice at all These people, they are all morons. The same kind of morons that thought Ballack not being in the European Squad last season was because Mourinho hated him or something rather than because he was injured. Morons.
  4. Solid display in difficult conditions. Anelka looked really sharp and lively today so deserved to grab some goals. We've got a run of 4 games which could be easy or could be difficult depending on how we approach them, before we host Arsenal. Lets go into that big game with a run of 5 victories!
  5. Who said they thought the prices would go down?
  6. I think we have to accept that if we want 40,000 hangers-on we're gonna need a bigger ground! It's not far from the Bridge, but it'd be harder to get to for me which would be annoying. But it'd be adjacent to Chelsea Bridge so connection with Chelsea isn't lost.
  7. Of course not. Many more died in the two world wars and I think that is important enough to respect without worrying about bringing politics to a football match.
  8. Not really. Same team isn't it? Same players.
  9. I thought it was about past wars, not current ones, anyway
  10. Blackburn still have the worst disciplinary record despite the change of manager.
  11. Pisser We fuck it up, and then I hear Liverpool get fucking lucky again. Damn scouse cunts, hand out the luck ya greedy bastards! Absolute fuck up. Cruising in control, we fail to create any convincing chances, and then after Mikel loses concentration, concede a free-kick (and Deco's yellow), and a complete lapse in defence sees us lose a terrible goal. Completely knocks us out of our stride. Changed it at half time, but a great goal from Vucinic and the game is beyond us. Especially when Mikel royally fucks up, losing the ball, fails in his saving challenge and the suddenly we're getting murdered. Terry bundles one in (fucking pisser at the commentators trying their best to argue it was a handball, definitely chest, fucking red cunts...) and the small hope of a comeback is there for the taking... until the referee sends off Deco for... playing a free-kick early. Playing a fucking free kick early. Never in the history has a player been booked for that. Absolutely fucking ridiculous. That ref should be sacked for that. Ridiculous. I don't want to suggest it changed the result of the game mind. We were 3-1 down completely through our own fault. But it was just so stupid it pisses me off anyway. Well, ultimately, we'll just have to learn the lessons and move on. Bordeaux away, we beat 'em 4-0 at home, but it wasn't as comfortable as all that so we can hardly take the French side for granted. And finally we have Cluj at home, which we will have to win I think if we want to qualify. Entirely possible, but play like that and we'll be seeing more losses.
  12. Well, the actual news item on goal.com states clearly that it is satirical, so that is the way it is meant to be understood. Sorry if you felt I ruined your party though.
  13. Well if we need a winger, Benzema is irrelevant, surely? Would have a dabble at Ashley Young myself, although he might just be another SWP. Of course, neither Benzema nor Young could be bought as bargains
  14. Well, admittedly, Drogba was rather pants when he came on against Sunderland, but can't judge him yet as he's coming back from injury and he may be a bit tentative until he gains some confidence. But if neither Drogba nor Anelka can do the business against the top teams that means we need a new striker basically. So far Anelka has been prolific against the lesser sides and I don't mean to lessen that, it's just that we need to win these big games and we need all our players to be able to compete if we are going to do so.
  15. Just to note, this isn't a true story, its satirical. Footballers aren't really this stupid.
  16. Given that he went to Manchester City because we were never given permission to offer him a contract, there's nothing to say we couldn't tempt him here in the summer.
  17. But a good defence can nullify any impact Anelka can have by sitting back and holding a deep line. Drogba can bully that defence anyway.
  18. Away from home in Europe to a side like Roma, a draw isn't so bad. However, it'd be nice to make up for the draw at Cluj where we should be winning,
  19. I just think I'm being realistic really. None of Anelka's goals have been important this season and that's the start and end of it.
  20. And bemoan the fact that we finished 3rd and only got to the Quarter Finals of the Champions League because we didn't have a striker capable of scoring goals against the best defences.
