Why did the club tell Robben not to take 7?

Are we 'actually' going to sign anyone?

Manchester United are not as weak willed as Arsenal, and are fully capable of continuing form very similar to their current right up until the end. Where as we look completely out of ideas. I don't see Quaresma solving that, not every game. He's not that good. Liverpool did outclass. They restricted us to about one chance, and that came after the sending off if I remember rightly. The only thing the sending off did was turn the game from a draw to a stinging loss. I think Villa might well beat Arsenal to fourth and I hope they do. But I don't think Liverpool will faulter that badly. They do actually look different this season. That said, you always fancy them to slip up and for that reason we can still hope to reach second. But Manchester United are so much better than us now that I can't see us catching them, because we will slip up again many times before the end of the season even if they do. David, do we really need to lock this? We're not only talking about Quaresma you know. -
I wonder if it is banned here for numbers to be that high? It might well be. He'll be given a high squad number because he is only on loan I suppose.

Seriously warnie? In the past month we have been outclassed by both teams occupying the places above us. Third is the best we can realistically expect for in my opinion. We can hope for 2nd, and 1st is way beyond us. 4th wouldn't be good, but it wouldn't be bad either. Below that is disastrous of course. -
I think in all honesty what will happen is Gerrard will get a suspended sentence because he is "too important to the national interests" to be locked up straight away.

You forgot about the legendary Winston Bogarde BlueLion!
-
Well of course Stoch has gone further down the pecking order. We should now be playing Quaresma and Kalou with Stoch on the bench I feel.
-
Number 7 seems like the painfully obvious choice, but up to him in the end.

Welcome to the forum!

Quality, thought I'd gotten a quality sig and then find you've topped it already.

Someone has told me Quaresma has not played for Inter in the Champions League this season and thus would be available for us against Juventus. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

It's still a good signing. An extra option on the wings is a good thing, even if Quaresma won't work out too great either. -
Would have been a good signing but doesn't look like it has happened. To be fair, what the fuck at the club for not making it happen!
-
Well that's a mind boggling decision but it's good for us so yay...

Snow still filling the air in Dumpstable. Couldn't care less, just be a pain in the arse if I happened to need to go anywhere. Got an interview in Tolworth on Wednesday, if the snow is still around by then, then it'll annoy me.

Obviously from your sarcastic tone you disagree but I'd rather this club was around for the rest of my lifetime, than blowing it all then getting caught out. -
What I see with Deco though is he's old and he's already aged at this club. To me now he is completely useless. If he shows some glimmer of being a useful player still he's welcome to stay.
-
Cech Belletti A. Cole Terry Alex Mikel Lampard Kalou Stoch Anelka Drogba (or Di Santo) Play this team please Scolari. I know I said 4-4-2 won't help us, but that team is probably our best right now because it doesn't include Ballack or Deco or Malouda, Bosingwa will probably be suspended and Lampard probably not, and Carvalho will still be out I presume as will Essien.
-
You've been waiting all your life for a good shaggin aint you badboy?
-
After all I've said I didn't boo at half time. I'm just saying I can understand why others did.
-
If you never let them know they aren't doing well enough they might never know.
-
We were poor, but that's nothing compared to Mike Riley 1. Didn't act on Gerrard viciously booting the ball at Bosingwa after the whistle had blown, very similar to the Delap incident yesterday except Gerrard didn't kick Bosingwa too. Should have been a yellow imo, which would have led him to being sent off later for diving, oh and that dangerous sliding tackle. 2. Lampard's sending off. Completely ridiculous. Right up there with Poll's three yellow cards, honestly. Alonso fouled Lampard! 3. Bosingwa not getting sent off. What the fuck is Jose doing there, and what the fuck is the assistant playing at when it's right under his nose? But, before the sending off, we hardly threatened Liverpool at all. We were capable enough to pass the ball about, but considering we've got an aging Ballack, and two shite wingers, we were just unable to create any chances. Shit wingers means Anelka drifts about, which means he's not where he needs to be when there is a chance to create something. So we're just void of any chances being made in open play. We actually defended really well today, despite Cech having a poor game. Andy Gray ripped Cech a new one over his goalkeeping for the first goal, and having watched that I agree, Cech was way too far away from the near post. Alex was immense even if it was him that Torres beat to the ball, but that's just down to Torres being world class. All in all, Liverpool deserved to win. But perhaps we would have held them had the 11 men on the pitch we should have had. But sending off or not, we've shown again we're not good enough to win the league. Just concentrating on staying in that top 4 now, otherwise we're really fucked.
-
Tackle? Hardly a tackle was it? We can have no complaints if the FA act on it. It's quite possible they will because the officials didn't apparently see it even though the assistant had his nose over it.
-
To me the problem is simple. Both wings, striker and one midfield position are not being covered properly by the players we have, because they are either too old or too shite. Playing 4-4-2 isn't going to solve this at all.
