Bench? -
Am I the only one worried about the wage bill claim of the guy?

Didnt Capello have a huge fallout with the senior players at RM?! Raul, RVN and Beckham managed the team with Capello being a nominal manager, didn't they? So, are we sure he can manage our dressing room? And I somehow feel we should let go of RDM. I fear that we'll lose the respect we have towards him, if he ends up with some unfavourable results in the next season. I don't want that to happen to RDM after all he has done for us.

U have wasted hours of valuable time of all the forum members with the most awesome football entertainment of the season, by posting that link! Kudos!

And don't you think we are ignoring Mata's position? We have been lucky enough that Mata has not suffered any injury or dip in form. I think we need a RB, RW, CAM and we are good to go (if we are gonna play KDB and integrate some reserve team players into the first team).
-
On a different note, I am getting apprehensive that Mata might return to the next season burnt out! He had a tiresome season at Chelsea..now hes up for Euro Cup and the Olympics!

So you are defending the board being involved in matters of picking the squad and pressuring the manager to pick a particular player? Does that not contradict another of their jobs, to pick an efficient, self-sufficient, decisive and a sensible managerial team?! And about the transfers, I never said we should earn more than we spend as far as the transfers are concerned. Any big club like ours will be daft to stick to that policy. All I meant was if they find the inflated prices reasonable, then why can't they put similar price tags on players going out?! Is that not important when you are running a business? And attracting world class players is because of the spending power and not solely based on the efficiency of the board.
-
Lets say the board's job is to run the club like a business. They are failing at that as well! The most significant complaint I have of the board is the pricing of the transfers! The incoming players seem so inflated and the outgoing players, of the same or much more caliber, are given away for peanuts. They seem so indifferent just because we have Roman to pump in the money. And, if their job is to just run the business called CFC, why do they (clearly) poke their nose in the footballing aspects at the club?
-
Exactly! And it will surely come back to bite Hodgson. In the 'nads. Being an idiot seems to be the basic qualification to be part of the FA!
-
This. I am pissed off about his performances more because of this than his shoot-at-sight attitude. I do not see a team player in him. AT ALL! He seems too worried about himself rather than breaking a run of an opponent player into dangerous territory. Actually, I see him tackle only when he thinks hes got a chance to run at their defense and shoot! He's gotta stop flying and being so over-confident. I think a sound thrashing from JT might do the trick. At least act like a catalyst. He also shows enough disregard to the manager, considering the situation with managers at CFC etc. Hes already become the arrogant Englishman in the dressing room. The difference between him and the rest of the "power-players" is that they have developed as footballers first and then got into the tussle. This is just my perception of his behavior and attitude on the pitch and an expression of the utter disappointment.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1071182/england's-roy-hodgson-won't-take-both-rio-ferdinand-and-john-terry?cc=4716 Not very reliable considering it is from Harry Harris. Once again the FA and the England coach are acting like cunts, if true!
-
Did Drogba bid a final goodbye? The stream died on me in the last few minutes..
-
Our midfielders are so low on skill and confidence that they ALWAYS take the easier route of passing the ball back. NEVER do I see them taking a decent touch and lose an opposition player with another decent (not even good or world class, mind you!) dribble! They just dont belong at a top club like ours! Meireles cannot win a tackle without fouling even if his life depended on it. Ramires has shown no positional sense tonight. Piss poor midfield. Screw everything else..the real 'project' CFC needs to take up is cutting the trash and rejuvenating the MF. Only then can we reach the heights expected from a top club like ours.
-
This. FA has proved that it is filled with dumb, arrogant, authoritative, money-mongering dickwads.
-
That was so stupid of him! There was no need for crap like that! Just because he cant keep his cool we are now condemned to the abysmal Bosingwa!
-
I have been patient till now about Ess but I think we need to offload him this summer. As sad as it sounds, I think hes past it.
-
Can someone smack on Malouda's head and tell him that hes playing for the ones in blue?! I am sometimes amazed how we are in the top half of the table with the likes of Malouda in our side! I have now grown tired of Cech going for long balls every single time and the balls pinging right back into our half! We are not Stoke. Build from the back! And with 2 DMs, why is Sturridge playing so narrow?! Why not exploit the fact that they are 3 at the back and pretty compact as well?!
-
As far as Chelsea is concerned, our team never wins whenever I have a tiff with my GF. I have been observing it for nearly two years now. So I try not to get on her bad side on matchday
-
Its the exact opposite for me Whenever I watch Arsenal, they fuck it up. I let it go for their CL 2nd leg against Milan as I wanted to watch our youth team. But as soon as I saw the score at half time, I panicked and switched to the Arsenal game and lo and behold
-
WTF is Milan doing?!! I will kill myself if Arsenal stages a comeback. This will officially be the most depressing week!
-
Touche! Exactly what I felt!
-
How many times have he heard and thought this before?! The. Exact. Same. Thing. That is what pains me the most!
-
I have given myself a drunken night to digest this but it still feels unreal! All the hopes and expectations for the future, all the awesome (but not expensive, unlike CFC) speculated signings, all the attractive, youthful and energetic football I was looking forward to once AVB truly stamped his authority on the team..all of this has gone down the drain! We are back to square one and I strongly feel that the club is answerable to the fans for all the dashed hopes. Which good manager in his senses will ever take up the job at Chelsea and look at it as a long-term project?! All of this is so depressing. The only respite the summer can provide is if we bid goodbye yell fuck-offs to the cunts (read Lampard and likes) who are indirectly responsible for this chaos.
-
Feels assuring. But I want to ask whether this is assured legally or if RA can fuck us over just because he feels like (not that he has/will have any intentions to do that)?
