If that was the case then Cahill would of been sold a long time ago. We would also of conceded many goals. You rate Cahill as though he's a championship player, he plays many games and is consistently good. I know he's not one of the best, but to say he should be sold and such is just stupid. People will only look at the mistakes rather than the times he's kept the opposition from scoring, and believe me there is much and i mean MUCH worse scenarios and more goals conceded if we didn't have Cahill. Mata hasn't got great acceleration. Having great physical aspects is also a talent you know, It's not a cheat in the game, Bale is a monster not only is he fast paced tall and strong, he's an excellent footballer. Did you see any of his crosses and passes he made during some of the games last season? He was taking the piss out of so many defenders. He destroyed Manchester City and Manchester United. Some of his touches are scary also, did you catch the one against Norwich, where he touched the ball past 3 defenders at the same time? Mata is a very good player, but he's not in Bales class, that's why Gareth Bale is going for a huge fee. Yes he's not worth it, but that's what they will have to spend to get him simply because there's not many like him. Also he's got one of the best long shots I've ever seen, I though Ribery and Ronaldo where scary cutting in, Bale is on a complete different level. Bale is not Theo Walcott, his game may rely on pace, but he's got end product and ideas, he can destroy any fullback or any defender.

You can't just downgrade someones physical aspect like that, I've really never understood it. Okay so what if Mata wasn't creative? Then what would he be left with? He wouldn't be anywhere near as good or useful. Bale is a great player, proved that last season, and is a potential world player of the year. Hazard I haven't seen that yet, I rate Hazard high, and I think he can definitely be world class, but he seems to lack flair for me, he doesn't possess that type of flair what Bale has. Bale at the right moments scored those screamers, Hazard isn't capable of doing something like that.

Hazard isn't even in the same class as Bale, neither is Mata.

Oh really? This is the centre back that has made all those last ditch tackles to save our arses against the likes of Arsenal and Spurs. He plays the most games and rarely concedes penalties or commits dangerous fouls. He's a great addition the team, very good consistent centre back. Just becase he's not Vidic doesn't mean he's shit. He only lacks a certain quality, that's why he will make 6-7 mistakes a season, as he doesn't instantly know what to do against some players and he can make the wrong decision. Besides that he's a very good centre back. I god mad at him for not closing Yaya Toure down when he was clearly going to go for the shot, but the positives easily outweigh the negatives. That Yaya Toure goal couldn't piss me off anymore, what abysmal defending by Cahill, just abysmal. However it wasn't just Cahill, it was the whole team in general. God I hope we prove defensively next season, I can't bare to watch that type of defending again.

Cahill is a good consistent centre back, but he's far from the best. I remember last season against Yaya Toure when City beat us 2-0, that was some of the worst defending I've ever seen, he gave him so much space it was just insane. He didn't close him down quick enough. He's an excellent tackler, very good in the air, and such a confident player, but he does lack certain intelligence, not common sense though. He lacks the sort of thing which makes the top centre backs so hard to play against, he's not as clever. The world class centre backs are very intelligent players, they know what to do and how to come up against opponents at the right time. Cahill does not, that's why he will make those 6-7 mistakes a season, because he does lack that certain quality. He's a very good centre back though people, lets not get ahead of ourselves and say that Cahill isn't good enough. This is the man who has made those amazing last ditch tackles in the last minute, anyone remember the tackle on Van Persie in the last minute? The one against Spurs? he's a very good player and where lucky that he's done so good. 7 million is an absolute fucking bargain that's all I can say.

He's rarely played though, even in pre season he's hardly played. He didn't play that many games at Real Madrid either, only rotation and backup he was always there. There was one racist comment about Kalou, however that was all cleared up and the man who said that is now a mod on this forum. Not many meant that with Torres, he's just very frustrating to watch and it's understandable, he's missed so many easy chances. I guarantee Essien will be the least played midfielder come the end of the season.

Kalou and Torres have had a lot of abuse but not like you said to Essien. Potter You once said he was a disgrace, and it was all about nothing. It was disgusting what you said to be honest, because you shouldn't say them things about anyone, I believe in the Mourinho thread you told Essien to go fuck himself. You shouldn't have any hate towards Chelsea players, especially ones like Essien what have gave so much to the club in the past. Not even Torres, regardless of him under performing.

I personally think our Youth has gotten better, Chalobah and McEachran look really impressive, and some of the players that played in the friendlies against City where immense, Loftuscheek & the danish defender. Kalas is a good centre back, not sure if he will make it but you can't just draw the line like that just yet. And of course Nathan Ake, he has been very good whenever he has played, I would like to see him have a full season loan though this season. I could be wrong, it's only a few games for some of the players and we can't exactly say 'wow these are going to be great in the future' but the results do look positive for most.

If it's true that he's going to Spain then best of luck to him, I still have faith in him that he will be a very good midfielder in the future. People forget that time is on his side, he's like what 20 now? very young for someone who is going to be playing as a deep midfielder one day.

I don't think he's anything like Iniesta to be honest, he hasn't got that ball control Iniesta has, Iniesta is one of the few players that can roam around anywhere against anyone without the defenders getting to him, he is real menace. KDB doesn't seem that patient. I really liked KDB on the right side against Milan, he was really good. He worked hard, and he rotated in the middle very well also. He's a very technical player, he's got a good cross, a good pass, good shot and good dribbling. If Steven Gerrard was an attacking player, he would be very similar to De Bruyne, we will just have to see where KDB is going to play, because he can play just about anywhere but he needs a position to stick to. I think it will either be right wing or centre midfield.
