It's blind faith and makes you ignore all the warning signs. Grant was a nobody but people want to be loyal to what they percieve as nice guys even if they're rubbish. Regarding the bold I've lost any hope whatsoever that we can win the CL with this Ancelotti. We may scrape through to the QF because we have arguably the easiest draw in the next round but the first good team we play will knock us out much like Inter Milan last season. The team is running on empty and Ancelotti is devoid of any new ideas or lacks the ability as a coach to change things.
-
Midfielders like McEachran need another player with similar abilites to function. Two ball playing CM would be a dream, the combination play is what we're missing in midfield. Our midfield is unimgainative and slow with very little ability on the ball under pressure. It is the biggest flaw in our team.

:goodpost: :goodpost: :goodpost: I'd give much of the credit to Steve Clarke. It just goes to show wha a good assistant coach can offer. Meanwhile we have a poor manager and his assistant has only ever managed an under 14 girls team.
-
This isn't knee-jerk at all. I could have made this topic anytime over the last 3-4 months. We're on course for our lowest points tally in god knows how long. We've had our worst run of form in 14 years. For a club with our objectives and aims this isn't good enough.
-
Of course you would disagree. The truth is he has been in bad form for the last few months and doesn't look the player he once was. He has damaged the cruciate ligament in both knees. It is difficult to be the same player having damaged one let alone two.
-
Of course he deserves to be sacked, look at how poor the team is playing and it's gone on far too long. Why don't you want him sacked? If a player is playing poorly with no signs of improvement the logical thing to do is count your losses and move him on. Why doesn't the same apply to managers? Where does this blind loyalty come from? This is a results business and the club has invested far too much to have a manager this bad wasting talent.
-
He doesn't seem to be able to play a precise and quick passing game which is what we need in midfield. He is a good runner with energy but technically he is not a good midfielder. Right midfield does seem to be his best position but really it's by default because he isn't competent anywhere else but DM and Mikel is better there imo.
-
Josh is technically better than both Essien and Ramires. Serious question - is anybody worried by Essien? Technically not good with the ball and losing his athleticism with serious knee injuries. Maybe it's time to start thinking about selling him.

:goodpost: They think it's acceptable to have the highest wage bil in English football, some of the best players in the world and still be struggling in 4th place and no hope of winning the league. This is a crazy way of looking at the situation.
-
Carlo wouldn't play the kids because he is a coward. The most useful one was shipped out to Bolton and he scored two goals in two games, it shows how poor his judgement is.
-
:goodpost::goodpost::goodpost: I think we're the same person! Are you me?
-
It really isn't.

Hey I agree with some of what you're saying but today result is the straw that broke the camel's back. We have had every excuse under the sun this season; squad depth, injuries, Wilkins, cost-cutting you name it we've used it. But the biggest problem is the manager. You cannot honestly tell me that somebody like Hiddink or Mourinho would not be getting better results with this team. Once you accept that point you realise just how poorly this team is being mismanaged, Wonder why. If you can't instill hunger and desire in your players then you are a failure of a coach. Add to that his failings as a tactician and Ancelotti is coming across as a really rubbish manager,
-
I think that's largely to do with Sky turning the mics near the away end right up.
-
...and that is down to the manager. They gave two shits under Mourinho and Hiddink. They could inspire players and also change things when the game wasn't going our way. Ancelotti doesn't have a clue most of the time.
-
They're running out of fuel because senior players like Lampard, Drogba are forced to play every minute of every game. They can still do a job as part of a squad, Giggs is 37 and still performing for Utd because there is rotation at that club. Drogba 32 and has just played against Everton, Sunderland and Liverpool =270 minutes in 7 days and you wonder why they're running out of fuel.
-
Liverpool did not deserve to win. They played a 9-1 formation and fluked a goal. Just because we played like utter crap doesn't mean the other team deserved it. I'm furious too that we have a rubbish manager.
-
:goodpost::goodpost::worship::clap: His complete and utter mismanagement of the squad is embarrassing and worthy of being sacked. He doesn't even give tired players a rest.
-
Another point - why would anyone want to see Ancelotti manager of a transition period with new, younger players when he is failing with established world class players? It makes no sense.
-
This is compeltely irrelevant and the team SAF took over did not have half as much talent as this Chelsea team does. I put it to you that any decent manager would be getting far better results with this group of players.
-
But why should we stick with a poor manager? What so people won't criticise us? He is rubbish and should go.
-
Good post. He is a very poor manager and it's being exposed with every passing week.
-
We were the best team in England last year by a considerable distance and scraped to the league by a single point. It is not fickle he is just isn't good enough and should be replaced by a more competent manager. We have lost 7 games this year and endured our worst run of form for 14 years. Are you not at all worried that lesser teams like Arsenal, City and Utd are constantly getting better results? That can only be down to mis-management. His time should be up in the summer.
-
Hopefully. He is not good enough and should leave in the summer. If results are any worse over the next month then he should be fired. It is embarrassing that this squad of players is struggling for a top 4 finish.
