Going places? Third is the absolute best they can ever hope for in La Liga. He can be #1 at Chelsea for a decade competing for League titles and European trophies.

He is already at a top club though. Atleitco won the Europa + Super Cup and will play Champions League football next season. Where else is there for him to go? Utd have a keeper. Juventus have a keeper. Madrid have a keeper. Bayern have a keeper. What other top clubs are desperate for a keeper besides maybe Barcelona? He should be thankful that Chelsea took him from a small club in Beligum and loaned him to a top club where he wins stuff and will play Champions League football. He is the Belgium number 1. He hasn't played a single game for us but Chelsea has already done massive things for his career. This idea that we're somehow holding him back is fucking ludicrous. If he has any decency he will have faith in the club, sign an extension and wait his turn because Cech is a legend and deserves to see out his contract at the very least.

I doubt it's 35m but if AVB's exit clause was 13m then Mourinho's will be considerably higher. Mourinho coming back looks worse every day from a financial point of view.

That would be the best case scenario for everybody involved. I would be amazed if he isn't loaned out next season. We wouldn't even need to replace him because he's that irrelevant. Any of our academy players could have contributed what he has this season.

Thanks. Thought only Mikel, Hazard and Romeu were current injury problems. But can we really trust this guy for another year? Do people want to waste a Premier League and Champions League squad place on him?

If reports are true that there is a contract extension then I don't see how he doesn't play for us.

He's not even an agent in some cases, he virtually owns some of the players. Atletico are not seeing any of that Falcao money for instance it's going straight to GestiFute. And this is the sort of nonsense that is going to come with Mourinho.

Defenders are drawn to Hazard because they know he can leave them for dead so they surround him. That means more space for Mata to work in.

Really missed him today. He helps the team keep the ball and calms things down. Believe we would have won comfortably if he was available.

Worked his socks off again and provided the assist for the goal. No one can complain about his performance today. Some strange/sloppy passes but once he cuts that out of his game he will be a beast.

Interesting comments by Peter Kenyon: I'm not surprised he is backing Mourinho. Kenyon has links to Gestifute the agency run by Jorge Mendes who is, surprise, surprise, Mourinho's agent. Jose has bought overpriced Mendes players before like Fabio Coentrao for €30m and he isn't even worth half of that amount. Mendes himself said two days ago that Jose wants to come to Chelsea and it's 80% likely. Why are Kenyon and Mendes so desperate for Jose to be Chelsea manager? Because if he does Gestifute, Mendes, Kenyon and co are going to make a lot of money out of Abramovich. Oh and who is Falcao's agent? Well of course Jorge Mendes. Man Kenyon and Mendes are Abramovich so badly right now I hope he doesn't fall for it.

Hazard and Mata definitely but Oscar works his socks off. He tackles, intercepts and does a lot of dirty work. Whoscored.com lists his defensive contribution as one of his strengths. If Hazard and Mata worked as hard as Oscar we would be a much better team.

WHAT!?! 7 goals and 9 assists from (mostly) a deeper role in midfield for a rubbish team battling relegation and that isn't impressive?!?! Imagine what he'd be doing playing with better players? We're on course to play 69 games this season. Players like Mata, Hazard and Oscar have had to play almost all of those games because the likes of Marin are rubbish and aren't trustworthy when healthy.

KDB in pre-season looked like a player that knew he had to impress to avoid getting loaned out. He played like a desperate man in games that were essentially meaningless and the club shipped him out when he didn't perform. How can you judge him on pre-season games? Everybody was playing for fitness and he's out there trying to save his season. Stupid decision by the club. If KDB stayed this season, considering all the games we've had to play, he would have had plenty of playing time and would be playing with better players. I am 100% convinced he would have contributed far more than Marin.

Yep, I've just made a post in the KDB thread. KDB 7 goals 9 assist Marin 1 goals 1 assists (so bad even when fit nobody trusts him to play) Genius move by the club.
